WR core is to blame for this stupid ass stat. Turns out when you have 4 NPC wide receivers you can’t pass the ball to even make it to the red zone! Go figure!
We are in hell.
They also have one of the worst 3rd down conversion percentages I’ve ever seen lol
They should give a stat on how many of our offensive drives actually make it to the red zone. My guess is is 0.000001%
Rahim must be throwing this season away to help Rams’ 26 pick and get his job back as DC after this season
half of the time we just give the ball to tyler to make a straight run and that works.
Without looking it up, I’m guessing this is what they call, in the world of statistics, statistically insignificant, unusual event
Aka the number looks more impressive but only because it doesn’t happen much
Edit: The statistical principle that explains how an initial, potentially extreme, result tends to move closer to the expected average as more events occur is the Law of Large Numbers.
Now how often do we get into the redzone
“sips drink”
3rd down efficiency is killing us.
Better start throwing long bombs to the 10th yard line then. Either way, it’s going to be a 3 and out.
Because we get to the red zone like twice a game lmao
That’s actually a crazy stat
That is definitely the Atlanta Falcons of stats. Making the almost impossible, possible.
I mean how many times have we been in the red zone verse other top teams?
Score a few times, then stay out of the red zone.
Pump up that stat.
Tap temple.
We’re even bad at being good.
I say this as someone who bet our under on wins, knew this staff was awful going in, and knew the season was officially over after the Carolina game, so it all matters little.
Because we rarely get there…but nonetheless we have in fact been a top 12 offense or so the last 5 games. Just doesn’t really matter because before that we were bottom 5 and hopeless and now the NFL has tape on the defense, outside a tanking Saints we’ve been largely roasted starting with the Miami game. Almost like it’s impossible to compete in the NFL with -> a bottom 3 staff, the worst group of total pass catchers in the NFL, and the weakest DL rotation in the NFL. And neither of these rooms have been hit with injury or wildly unassumable fall off, just players not playing over their head or taking a next step in production.
Look back over the past decade at league trends. Good staff and a QB are just always assumed, but a big physical DL that bogs run schemes and pushes a pocket as needed, and total pass catching units that can win in man coverage are basically the next two things up when it comes to who has consistently won. But genius hipster Terry said we don’t need those things, the bargain bin + Ruke Orhorhoro and the Mooney/Pitts duo are definitely good enough for us!
It’s funny. if you asked me the two biggest problems that have plagued us the most for the last 10 years it was passh rush and red zone efficiency. We have basically fixed those two problems but gotten worse. Obviously it FAR MORE COMPLICATED than that simplistic take, but it’s how it feels…
Were the most all over the place team 😂😂
It’s like we only focused on what was bad last season lol
WHY MUST WE ALWAYS FIND NEW AND INTERESTING WAYS TO LOSE?
This stat is brought to by 92.9 the Game
Assuming that this means the falcons are 13/14 as we’ve scored 13 redzone TDs in weeks 9-13. Which means we have ~3 trips to the red zone per game which seems… not great? I don’t know what’s average across the league. Good on us for converting but also lacking on explosive plays and converting on 3rd down.
