[Charania] New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson will miss extended time with a right adductor injury, sources tell ESPN. He will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

Williamson returned Nov. 19 after missing just over two weeks with a hamstring injury, playing in five of the Pelicans’ past seven games before sustaining this adductor strain — which will sideline him for a much longer period.

  1. Honestly just trade him to the Brisbane Bullets for a vending machine. I cannot be arsed defending his availability anymore.

  2. Future generations will never know that he was as hyped as Wemby or Lebron coming into the league. What a disappointment…

  3. This dude had some much hype coming into the league man. So disappointing how his career has turned out so far

  4. well that’s his career as a potential all star finished, right? he’s obviously never going to be healthy enough for 65 games let alone average enough to help his team be higher than play ins

  5. This is actually really insane man. That sucks when your body just keeps failing you

  6. People will blame this on conditioning. I say it’s just bad luck. His body can’t take it and it wouldn’t take it better 30 pounds lighter. Look at Jokic. He looks in far worse shape. But for whatever reason his body doesn’t break down.

Ultimately, some people just get hurt more for whatever reason. Sucks for him and fans.

  7. If Zion and AD were on the same basketball team, it’s possible they might never know they were actually teammates.

  8. Time to extend him. Maybe this time, he’ll take it seriously! He did have a sick high school dunk mixtape , we can’t forget about that so quickly

  9. Zion did everything to he healthy, from getting into phenomenal shape, losing a ton of weight and changing his diet but he just has the worst injury luck.

He was blessed with incredible physical talent but simultaneously cursed with being injury prone.

He makes Kawhi, AD and others look like AC Green.
