James Jones Grades Shedeur Sanders a ‘B’ for His 2nd Start

  1. Watching the All-22 Shedeur has to throw the ball quicker. He’s hesitating way too much and not taking what the defense is giving him. He had Jeudy open a handful of times yesterday.

  2. Outside of the sack on 4th and forever—on a play call that is still currently developing, he took a bad sack. The missed Jeudy TD into 30 mph winds, sure that’s a miss. Other than those things, he was good. Fight me.

  3. Regardless of how he plays there’s a realistic chance either him or Gabriel are the guys next year. I’m low key expecting we beat the Titans next week and steal one against the Steelers or Bengals which would assure we dont get any worthwhile QBs in the draft. The truth is unless there’s some goldmine QB draft with like 5-6 1st round QB prospects our elite defence won’t allow us to get a top 3 pick.

  4. He played fine. Biggest problem on offense was not trusting Shedeur on short yardage situations and continuing to run straight into a wall

  5. Watch the OBR Film Breakdown. His did a few good things, but his grade was NOT a B lol.

  6. Two 4th and shorts had a combined 0%success chance on run plays then two special teams turnovers had much more to do with the result then who the qb was. Run game does look better with sanders

  7. I have been preaching he needs to sit longer this whole season. That said, I wasn’t mad at all in his performance. I still think he’s a little raw, but I liked what I saw for the most part.

  8. Ol’ boy threw for 150 yards in a loss. I’m chugging the kool-aid as much as anyone, but managing expectations vs reality is the most challenging part of this entire thing.

  9. He looked okay out there in the first half and the second half was a mess where the offense never got a real chance to do anything. Bad decisions and bad turnovers were killer.

  10. B? Bad? He wasn’t awful but a B is a bit of a stretch. I’m thinking a C- or D+. I mean his wrs were screaming at him on the sidelines and had to be separated so clearly he didn’t know the plays or did something very wrong.

  11. Our options right now are Shedeur and Gabriel, and Shedeur provides more to the offense than Gabriel.

  12. Winds were 30-50mph. Why dont you wait for a day like that and go out and try to throw some 30 yard passes. He needs to work on a lot and i think playing from behind is hard bc he holds long looking for big plays. Its his second start. Had like 7 practices total with the 1st team. It takes time. Maybe he does suck in the end but he has shown more flashes of greatness than any QB we have had in years.

  13. Sanders is finding out it’s much harder to complete passes when the receiver being open means 1-2 feet instead of 1-2 yards. He holds onto the ball WAY too long. It may or may not be something he can overcome. Right now, I’d grab another QB in April.

  14. What kind of grading curve is there here??

A “B” for the lowest rated QB in the NFL? What?

  15. Gotta be honest, it felt like he was following the game plan and our game plan was built on sustaining the run and passing when needed to keep the chains moving. The weather took the deep ball out of the game as seen the few times he aired it out. As soon as we were behind due to ST, we were basically fucked. Now once we were consistently in obvious passing situations, that’s where I thought Shedeur looked pretty bad in terms of getting the ball out faster. But I thought he looked solid until then
