I would be very pleased with Michael King. I like darn near everything about him.

Know king had injury issues. Assume Fairbanks also?
King is very good.
Both of these are real moves. Yes Scott, you are starting to understand the assignment. No more Maeda & Canha’s!
They’re not signing either, just putting their “interest” out to appease fans. “Ooh, they were close.” No more dollars from me until they lock up Skubal or Greene.
Nice, can’t wait to look back on how excited we were to be interested in them when they are on other teams

King is a stud, but his mechanics make me wonder if he can stay healthy, as a starter. He’s only been able to do it once, so he’s a lottery ticket.
King is an absolute unit. Yes, he has an injury history but at this point I don’t care. He’s got Cease level stuff with more consistency. He’s predicted to sign a shorter contract that wouldn’t hamper us in the future.
King would basically be the Skubal replacement as our frontline starter. A nice 1-2 combo for 2026 tho if the Tigers choose to let Skoob walk

As someone who follows the Rays, Pete would not be a good fit for a team with an open air stadium where it can be cold for a third of the season.
