Chip Kelly RESPONDS to Pete Carroll as he tries to Shift Blame..

So, the Las Vegas Raiders 2025 season did not go as we kind of hoped it would. Hall of Fame coach and Pete Carol or potential Hall of Fame coach, I should say, a guy who everybody said is one of the best coaches and and paired up with Gino Smith. You know, the Twitter guys are telling me Juno Smith’s one of the greatest quarterbacks we’ve ever seen in the NFL. For all of that to not work out, and you know what’s crazy about this entire situation is I wouldn’t mind if the Raiders had these these losses and then, you know, the coaching staff wasn’t necessarily the issue. feels like just a really bad football team. But that’s not the case here. And the craziest part of all of this is the fact that the Las Vegas Raiders head coach, the guy that’s kind of put in charge, is not taking accountability. And more than not taking accountability, he’s literally leaking so much stuff out there to the media. The guy’s literally using guys like Tom Pillisero and he’s just putting random stuff out there. And then most recently, he blamed Chip Kelly last week. Uh Chip Kelly actually responded. And then again, I want to kind of show you guys exactly what happened. And you know, this is part of why I don’t have faith that that Chip Kelly’s or Pete Carol’s the future for the Raiders given the fact that if you can do what he’s kind of been doing up to this point, it’s just a matter of time until you do something, you cross the line with the wrong player and he calls you out on it. Uh there was a report where uh Brock Bowers was called out essentially, right? Not called out, but he was he was uh blamed. And Brock Bowers is in his second year, right? He’s a young young football player. So, he hasn’t matured into, you know, like a player like Max Crosby, for example, or or some other veterans that we know. But, uh, you know, at some point someone’s going to say something or someone’s going to call it out. And I’m sure some f some Raiders players already kind of see this as well. And I almost feel like there’s no way you can go forward with with Pete Carol as your head coach. Uh, but I want to kind of walk you through kind of what’s happened. So, if you guys remember last week, Chip Kelly was actually fired. And as he was fired, if you guys don’t know this, someone leaked some sort of information about Chip Kelly to Tom Pelisero. And I want I want you guys to listen to this, then we’ll just talk about this on the other side about just the the dysfunction of the Raiders offense. There were times, I was told, where Chip Kelly was repeatedly botching the play calls, where he’s supposed to be, for instance, tagging a motion on a play so the receivers’s on the left, not the right. He forgets to say it. So Gino Smith is going to the line of scrimmage and going, “This doesn’t look right.” And they’re trying to run a play. It happened on a third down in the game the other day. There’s times where Chip, I was told on several occasions, called a play that was either not in the game plan or not installed at all. Things like that happen. You’re not productive. That’s enough. You didn’t need any extra excuses. Damn. But there were a lot of things that were popping up. In my opinion, that’s pretty crazy, right? what what uh Tom Pelisero is saying about Chip Kelly and we’ve talked about this last week, but like just the fact that there were times that Chip Kelly apparently botched the play calls and botched him so badly that Chip Kelly was calling things that he did not even install in his offense. Think about how wild that is. That’s like me going out there saying, “Hey, you know, uh we run a a a pro style offense or you know, uh we run shotgun a ton.” And then I come out there and say, “Hey, we’re going to run 12 Ver, right? We’re running the Ver Ver offense or triple option type of offense.” Like they’ve never installed this offense. How can you just say, “Hey, we’re going to run 12 Ver, right? Pro right 12 V, whatever you want to call it.” How can you come come out and say we’re at run this completely different offense, this play essentially, right? And that’s literally what Tom Pelisero said that Chip Kelly was calling plays that he had not installed. That’s crazy, right? And even more than that, right? He also obviously said uh you know he’ll have wide receivers that he doesn’t tag. They’re supposed to go into motion. So guys are already lined up to the left but they were supposed to be on the right and then go into motion and J Smith’s kind of like what the hell’s going on? This report to me and if you guys have not put it out or or figured it out. This report right here is Pete Carol specifically telling Tom Pelisero this is why we fired Chip Kelly. This is what I need you to say. And of course Tom Pelisero being an industry I don’t want to say those words. Tom Pelisero, you know, being an insider, you know, quoteunquote insider, these guys are are told what to say essentially, right? And for that, they get this type of information, it’ll continue to come through them. So for for Pete Carol to essentially put the put the blame on Chip Kelly and say, “These are the issues that were happening.” To me, this comes through Pete directly. And then, of course, Tom Pelis is going to be the guy that kind of puts it out there. But that wasn’t the only thing. The day after Chip Kelly was fired that was put out. That was another report. This other report actually came out from Deanna Rousini. Now, before we move forward, let’s take a second to talk about today’s sponsor, Mint Mobile. Mint is challenging the industry norms. Data options, high prices, the ability to bring your own device. Mint is literally changing how things are done. You know, prior to switching to Mint Mobile, I was forced into an unlimited data option plan, which obviously I did not use given I work from home. Mint gives you that option. 5 gigs, 15, 20, and if you use a lot of data, go with the unlimited option. But the option is yours, and you won’t be paying a premium price. I personally found Mint to be the most affordable service. And given the fact that they’re the largest 5G network, and you get free calling to Canada, the UK, as well as Mexico, to me, it was just a win-win. Now, I do understand a lot of people are hesitant with switching services given the fact that it’s not always the easiest to go from one phone plan to the next. Mint Mobile, again, challenging industry norms. is so much easier. You can literally sign up right now and they will have you activated within minutes using the eim feature. And again, I truly do think people are spending way too much money on unnecessary things, things that just are not needed. Uh with Mint, you can save money in so many different ways. I’ve already talked about the data plans and and the different options. You can go with the five or the unlimited and obviously that’ll save you some money, but you can also go with bulk pricing. And I think this is one of the things that a lot of people need to take advantage of. You know, traditional services might force you into a two-year contract or whatever it is. Mint does not do this. Now, if you’re ready to go save some money for a limited time this holiday season, Mint is going to give you 50% off on an unlimited plan from Mint. Lock in today at $15 per month on a 3mon, 6 month, or 12 month service. Shout out to Mint for sponsoring this video. Let’s get right back into the content. This other report actually came out from Deanna Rousini and uh she wrote an article on on The Athletic, but again, same exact day as Tom Pelisero put his report out November 26th. She said that I’m told that Tom Brady was a big advocate for bringing in Chip Kelly to run the Raiders offense and has shared with some people close to him his disappointment in the team’s overall performance. Again, this comes off as, “Hey, Pete Carol never wanted Chip Kelly. It was Tom Brady that wanted Chip Kelly. And even more than that, the other report, right, Tom Pelisero putting it out that Chip Kelly is just a bad coach. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. And you’re essentially saying Pete Carol has no blame for all the struggles the Raiders have had up to this point. That’s how I read, right? And again, the fact that both of these reports came out on the same exact day, the fact that both of these reports, you know, quote unquote clear Pete Carol and say that Pete Carol didn’t do anything wrong, uh, it’s kind of wild because, you know, I can put it together and I’m sure a lot of you guys can put it together as well. This is Pete Carol putting all this stuff out there. And again, just to kind of back this up, if you guys remember, uh, Adam Schaer put this report out, and this was literally the day that, uh, Brock Bars went on, uh, I don’t know if he officially went on injured there, but it was the day Brock Bowers ended up missing like the first game after the the PCL injury. Had the injury against the the Patriots in in week one. He played like three games and then he missed the next four, right? Uh, Adam Sheper tweeted this the day the Raiders inactivated him and said, “Hey, he’s not going to play, right?” Uh, Adam Shaper said, “The Raiders tight end Brock Bars has been playing through a PCL injury and a bone bruise on his knee that has impacted his performances.” Per sources, doctors have said the only way to recover from the knee injury he suffered on opening day versus Patriots is to rest, which Bowowers has been unwilling to do. So, Adam Schaer, keep in mind, Adam Schaer does not live in Las Vegas. He’s not at the Raiders practices every single day. Nor is anyone going to tell Adam Sheffer, hey, this is the the situation with Brock Bowers, but someone did, right? And to me, this comes off as Pero, right? Pero reached out to Adam Shaper and and said to follow it, right? And again, it’s just kind of crazy because it’s saying doctor said the only way to recover is u that he suffered is to rest. And then it says Barers has been unwilling to do this. Again, once again, just comes off as, you know, even though we have a head coach, we have a guy making all the team decisions, even though that guy has the final say, Brock Bowers apparently told Pete Carol that, “Hey, I’m going to continue to play even though my knee is messed up and I literally don’t look good out there.” To me, what realistically happened is that the Raiders said, “Hey, Brock Bowers, even if he’s not super productive, just the fact that a team has to game plan for Brock Bowers. A team’s going to come out there and say, “Hey, we’re going to make sure we line up our linebackers and our safeties this way or that way. Every time Brock Bowers is lined up out here, every time he’s lined at the inline position, if he’s isoed out, we’re we’re going to use this matchup or whatever.” These are these are moments of practice that you have to waste as a defense preparing for Brock Bowers. So, the Raiders probably fell. It’s probably the best thing for us as a team to force these other teams to spend the limited time you have each week in terms of practice. We’re going to make them spend that talking about Brock Bowers. Even though we know he’s not healthy, he’s not really going to be that productive. Again, that to me comes off as a Pete Carol decision because if the best thing to do was rest him after week two, he doesn’t play for three to four weeks, but he’s back by week five or six, that’s, you know, to me that makes the most sense. Uh, again, this report comes off as Pete Carroll puts this out there and there’s one more report and uh, I’m going to show you guys what what Chip Kelly said in response here in a second. But here’s the other report that I think Pete Carroll puts out there. Uh, Ted says the following. According to a source with the Raiders, the coaching staff tried to start rookie guard Caleb Rogers initially, but in practice, but he was so bad with just getting basic assignments down. They felt it would be disrespectful to other players to start him just because of the draft position. Charles Grant is still too raw as of right now to play. Again, who would tell someone that uh you know, players just not ready essentially? And put it in in this type of context. Now, to to be fair, Ted did uh reword this tweet. He put a new tweet out, but uh in the initial tweet, you know, the staff tried to start rookie Caleb Rogers. Who is the staff, right? It’s Pete Carol and his son essentially, right? Uh but in practice, he was so bad with just getting basic assignments down. They felt it would be disrespectable to other players to start him just because of the fact that he was essentially a third round pick. Again, it’s wild to me that this is the stuff that came out. And this was about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. This was actually before Chip Kelly got fired. But you look at all these different leaks that are happening and you know what’s crazy about Caleb Rogers. The guy actually played and he looked like he was one of the best offensive linemen the Raiders had. If he was not developing because he couldn’t get down quote unquote basics assignments. To me that’s a coaching issue. Maybe that’s an offensive line coach issue. But Perry would never admit that. In fact, he would just say, “Hey, it’s the player’s fault. It’s all on the player. He’s not understanding concepts. Blame him. Don’t blame us coaching staff. To me, I would be I would be surprised if the Raiders players within the building don’t already know that this is what Pete Gro is doing. He’s putting all these things out. Caleb Rogers is on Twitter. I’m sure he sees this crap, right? I’m sure Brock Bowers is also on social media and sees the stuff that that’s coming out as well. Now, obviously, we see that there’s all these reports coming out. Uh, you know, Pete Carol wants to put it out via Tom Pelisero and Deanna Rousini that Chip Kelly is the issue. It’s Chip Kelly who was calling plays that were not even in the game plan or plays that are not even installed. But Chip Kelly decided to respond. You know, he said, “I’m not going to let Pete Carol continue to put this ball stuff out there.” And he responded via Ian Rathport. I want you guys to listen to this, then we’ll talk about this on the other side. You want to talk about offensive dysfunction? Cool. Let’s talk about the Las Vegas Raiders. They played the Chargers. They with interim offensive coordinator Greg Olsen. Now calling the plays of course, but as as we know, Chip Kelly was fired after last week’s debacle. The second coordinator that Pete Carol has fired this season. The special teams coordinator Tom McMahon also fired. And you talk to people who know this offense very well. People who’ve studied this offense and played against it. They do not believe that it was Chip Kelly’s offense. They believe it was Pete Carol’s offense, specifically the Pete Carroll offense from Seattle 2023. Sounds to me like if Chip Kelly had to do this again, would not have taken this job. So what does this all mean, Tom? It means the win now coach in Las Vegas has not done very much winning at all. Certainly puts Pete Carol on the hot seat in what has been a difficult difficult season. So there you guys have it, right? basically through Ian Rapaort. This guy’s putting it out there that hey um you know this is the second coordinator that Pete Carol has now fired, right? Essentially trying to shift the blame a little bit to Pete Carol saying this is you know not even Chip Kelly’s offense, right? And uh you Raport says it in a way where he’s saying, “Hey, you know, people that know or people that watch tape or coaches or whatever, he was saying uh they don’t believe this is Chip Kelly’s offense.” And they even said, which is kind of crazy, that this looks specifically like the 2023 offensive Seahawks ran under Shane Waldron. To me, that’s crazy because there’s no way someone can say, “Hey, uh, this looks like a 2023 offense Seahawks ran, aka some, you know, like Shane Waldron, for example.” That doesn’t make sense. Shane Waldron’s offense looks like Zack Robinson’s offense. You can’t tell the difference, right? It’s not like there’s like some specific thing that they’re doing, right? But what’s happening is Kelly’s saying, “Hey, if you want to put the blame on me, I’m going to shift it right back to you.” and he’s using Ian Rapaort to put this out. And the report is so damn specific that this guy’s literally saying it’s like the 2023 offense, like the Shane Waldron offense, the Seahawks fans. There’s no way to realistically tell, right? So again, that’s wild for Ian Raport to kind of put that out there. Another thing he also says is he says, you know, it sounds to me like if Chip Kelly had to do this again, he would not have taken the job. And I understand from from Chip Kelly’s perspective, and again, I’m telling you guys, man, I watch every single game that the Raiders have played this season and uh I watched the tape specifically and I’m telling you guys, you know, and I’m again, I’m not the smartest person out there, so I could be wrong, but based off of what I’ve watched on tape, the Raiders biggest issue is not Gino Smith. It’s not Chip Kelly. It’s the offensive line and the fact that they’re not willing to change it up. It mostly falls on the offensive line. I’m telling you guys this to be a fact. And you can look at other things, right? Like Gino Smith’s not perfect. Chief Kelly wasn’t perfect. But there’s way bigger issues. And I think some of this also comes down to to Pete Carroll. Some of it could be put on John Spitech, but we don’t really know how how that worked in the offseason. You know, uh for all we know, Tom, uh for for all we know, John Spitech could have told Pete Carroll, we don’t want to to try to win now. We want to tank and we want to look to get better and then try winning in two years. And Pete Carroll could have said, no, I don’t want to do that. I want to try winning now. So, we don’t know the pull that’s happening between those two guys. We do know it exists cuz multiple people have reported it, but uh you know, we’re at the point now where if you’re the Las Vegas Raiders, you just got to think about how you want to go forward. You either say we’re going to go all in next year with Pete Carol and we’re going to continue to try to win or you can say we’re going to essentially restart, rebuild, retool, and basically go from that point forward. We’ll see what ends up happening. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below. What are you guys’ thoughts on all these leaks that are kind of coming out? I think Pete Carol is going to end up getting fired. I I just don’t see how the Raiders can continue with someone like that. But I want to know what you guys think in the comments below.

  1. I mean, it kinda is a bad football team. There is very little talent on this team. They were bad last year and most of the talent on the defense left. Spillane trayvon Hobbs Diablo then Jakobi left this year. That leaves us with Brock and mad Maxx and maybe Jeanty If he has someone to block for him. JPJ and Miller are out for the year. We have basically zero talent. Stokes is decent and Jamal Adams and maybe Devin White

  2. Lifelong Seahawks fan here. Loved Pete at the beginning but there’s a reason it all fell apart. Pete is a true narcissist. He will never take accountability for his shortcomings because he’s incapable of seeing them. One can maintain a facade of bullshit for only so long, especially in a business like football where authenticity is a requirement for team cohesion. Sorry to the raiders fans who got the super washed up version of Pete who couldn’t even muster a single season of buy in from his team.

  3. I am sorry… Who said Geno Smith was one of the greatest quarterbacks they have seen in the NFL? I want to give them a free eye test exam because there is no way they are that blind.

  4. You don’t have to watch tape to know that the problem is the offensive line. It is blatantly obvious every single week that the offensive line is the issue.

  5. You guys are all wrong. Las Vegas is making plenty of money from the opposing team buying tickets to watch their team beat the Raiders in Las Vegas. The Real Raiders Fans are not in Las Vegas anyway. The only people that are Hurting are the Real Raiders Fans

  6. I think Pete is really trying to win now. But he gambled on bringing in geno smith and his two sons.. and he refuses to throw geno and his sons under the bus.. so instead deflects blame. What a shame.. a hall of fame coach but refuses to admit he is wrong

  7. Sanjit is so lost. Hes been pounding the table to Start Caleb Rogers and now hes saying the opposite just because he wants to blame Carroll. I cant even follow his bs. Notice the advertisement he just did? Someone bought Sanjit out. All he cares about is money. Cant expect much from a Indian.

  8. We need to hire mike LaFleur from the Rams at HC or OC at worst, & have him install thair offense. We have all the pieces in place to do it on the outside, just need to find some talent to play O line, which we may actually already have… assuming we had coaches that knew their arse form their elbows. Draft a QB high & then fill in the blanks on Defense, & we might have a chance at having a team worth rooting for.

  9. I can’t see them justifying keeping Pete. He sold us on his reputation and it’s been really bad. Sad part is we are constantly bad but we haven’t been this bad in a while. You might as well can it now instead of waiting another year to do the inevitable.

  10. The biggest problem is that Mark will probably do the exact same thing next time by hiring some ‘big name’ coach. He doesn’t understand the need to keep up with the modern NFL. Next season fans will be demanding the head of the next Raiders coach, just watch.

  11. I hope we draft a quarterback this year and build around him! What’s the worst that can happen spend 3 years building around him rather than building another 10 years and or giving up picks to get a good qb

  12. I agree that it came down to the O-line this year. So… who should be held accountable for their woes, Chip, Pete or both? Who made the idiotic call to move JPJ to guard and make him compete with one of the worst guards in the NFL? Who made the idiotic blocking schemes week in and week out?

  13. The NFL is going to force out Mark Davis. Not because of what he did but what his dad did. It doesn't matter if they hired Andy Reid, this same crap would be happening. Money is the greatest neutralizer. If the refs can throw games, coaches and players can be paid to make a team look dysfunctional. 😮
