The Mavericks are TRICKING the NBA…

The Dallas Mavericks have tricked the NBA after winning back-to-back games against good teams. It’s clear that this team was set up for failure from the get-go because they expected Cooper Flag to be a dominant force and Anthony Davis also went out. Now that they’re getting everybody healthy, they found an answer to the point guard spot, and the offense is getting a little bit more efficient is starting to mesh with the number four defense in the league, and this team could finally start to make some improvements. An AD getting hurt didn’t help any of this, but I think we’ve been pretty unfair to him so far through this season once the Luca trade happened because Nico wanted him. He really wanted him bad. And then he’s played a total of seven games this year and nine games last year. and the injuries, while he can’t control them, he is injuryprone at the end of the day. But last night, he scored 32 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, on 13 of 23 shooting from the field, and two of four from beyond the arc and proved just how good he was against one of the best teams in the league in the Denver Nuggets. He’s just an absolute paint beast. He’s also knocking down threes. and the trade rumors. I feel like you don’t do it at this point because really for Anthony Davis who is now 32 years old, he’s in the midst of a threeyear $175 million contract. You’re not going to be able to get value that equals up or is greater than the value that he gives you on the team right now just because of his contract and his age. I mean, you can run an entire offense through him. Look at this right here. Just posting him up one-on-one with Joker. And then we’re going to have a stagger on the backside which Klay actually decides to curl. It’s a great read and AD hits him. He can also play on the floor at the same time as Coupe when AD slides down to the five and you got Coupe at the four. Or you can try and slide Coupe up to the three and have AD play the four with either Lively or Gaffford at the five. Right now with Coupe and AD playing together, they have the number four defensive rating. That offensive rating is just hurting. And I think there’s a certain reason why that offensive rating is not at its best right now. Um, the Mavs are still missing a couple of guys and I think at this point in his career, Anthony Davis has become underrated. He’ll be forever now known as the guy that was traded for Luca Donic. But at 6’10 with a 76 wingspan and what he can do with the ball, I mean, just pick and roll, hesitation, get right by Valenunis and get to the rim, then ball fake, knock down the three. AD is special, man. And at 32, they still got a couple of years left hopefully of him playing at a really high level. Now, as for Cooper Flag, he’s heating up. I just made a video on him the other day, but there there’s no way around it. He’s playing a lot better. Over his last five games, he’s up to 22 a game with 7.3 rebounds, four assists, and a steal and a half. Unfortunately, he’s starting to pass my boy Khan as the rookie of the year. And with Coupe and AD on the floor together, running this pick and roll, that’s nasty. Filthy hesitation move getting to the rim. And I mean, also defensively, they are elite together. He’s a point forward. Getting downhill in transition is one of his best tools. Look at this pass that he drops into AD for the easy layup. And the only part of his game that is worrying to me is his three ball because he has not been able to get it to go on the year. He’s averaging 17 points a game, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assist, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 46% from the field and just 26% from three on four attempts through 21 games played. Now, this is a common theme. Last year at Duke, he shot 38% from three on 3.7 attempts, but his non-conference and conference shooting splits were very different. Um, 21 percentage points different for that matter. And for Flag, I think the three-point shooting will come eventually right here. Getting the pick and roll with AD. This is honestly probably the wrong read. He should have skipped it to the corner, but Naji Marshall’s in the corner. So, knowing that, just go ahead and finish it. No hate to Naji Marshall. I love the way he plays. He’s just not a shooter. And then out here in transition again, that’s where he’s at his best. Now, as for Nimhard here, Ryan Nimhard, the brother of Andrew, could he be the point guard of the future for the Dallas Mavericks? Now, that is a big question mark because he’s only 6 foot with a 6’2 wingspan. In an age where small guards are dying out, however, he’s the brother of Andrew who was giving Shay Alexander buckets all finals long. He’s been shooting the cover off the ball as of late. He just scored 28 points, had 10 assists and three boards on 12 of 14 shooting from the field, and was four of five from beyond the ark. Over his last three games, he’s averaging almost 18 a night with about six assists, two rebounds in 26 minutes, shooting 67% from the field, and 60% from three on five attempts. He has been a sniper of late and I mean the dude is just own one right now coming out of the summer league we thought he could be a little bit of a piece but not this good this quick he’s a pure point guard and I mean watch the pace he’s playing changing paces changing speeds like he’s a 10-year vet getting to spots hitting fall away jumpers like he’s Chris Paul the point guy himself Ryan Imhard has shown a ton of flashes that I’m really excited about. And if you’re a Mavericks fan, you should be excited about too. Watch him snake this pick and roll, throw it ahead, go get it, and then go high off the glass. That is a veteran move. That is very Chris Paullike as well. He knows what he’s going to do right here before Spencer Jones even digs in. Throws it ahead and goes high off the glass against a slowerfooted big in Nicole. Then he goes up and finds Cooper Flag. If you’ve made it this far in the video, make sure to like button, leave me a comment down below, and hit that subscribe button. As you can see here, 93% of the people that watch these videos are not subscribed. If that’s you, let’s go ahead and fix that. And then let’s take a look at Klay Thompson because he’s one of the more interesting scenarios here on this Mavs team. Last night he had 15 and five with an assist in 23 minutes. Shot five of 10 from the field and three of five from beyond the arc. But the question mark here could be will Klay Thompson get traded because it is rumored that you know some assets will be gone. It is a new regime in Dallas in charge. So, some of the guys from the old regime could be on the way out. However, Clay can benefit playing around Luca or flag, excuse me. Sorry, Dallas Mavericks fans, that probably just made you very mad. But Cooper having a knockdown shooter like Klay Thompson, albeit he’s not been shooting the best this year. You see his numbers here and he’s 35 years old. He’s still a floor stretcher just because of his name alone. At any point that Klay Thompson is on the court, you’re going to have to respect his three ball. And then this guy right here, Max Christie, could be a reason that you do decide to move on from Clay because you want to get him more minutes. 12 points a game, 3.3 rebounds, two assists, shooting ridiculously well from the field for a 22year-old wing. Yeah, that that’s an exciting piece in Dallas. One of the underrated parts of the AD Luca trade. Um, he can shoot the three ball. He can play well alongside of Cooper Flag when you talk about building a team for the future, but he can also play very well around AD and Flag right now. He’s 66 with a 69 wingspan, shooting 46% from three in 22 games. Anybody in the league can use this man and he’s on his way to a big-time payday if he continues to play like that. Now, Brandon Williams has been solid this year. Had a couple of buckets last night, couple of passes. He has a very flashy game. really kind of reminds me of Kyrie himself. Um, Naji Marshall played all right, knocking down the three. I know I was ragging on him earlier for being a bad shooter, but he knocked that one down and then gets to the rim right here for the big time inside scoop finish. DLO has battled back from getting benched. Also, I like how he’s being a veteran presence with Ryan Nhard post games. Whenever Nim Hart is having a good game, he goes out and helps him out. Um, and then the other pieces they have, Lively has only played seven games so far this year at 21 years old. So hopefully they’ll have him back. Again, another piece to the future that right now they just don’t have. Um PJ Washington will also be back before long. He is 27 years old. So another guy that you can have for the foreseeable future, four-year, $90 million extension is what he got done in the offseason. So yeah, I think he’ll be here for the duration of that contract. And then finally, the big piece uh that everybody knows they’re missing, Kyrie Irving. a huge reason that this offense is ranked 30th right now when it comes to offensive efficiency. You don’t have one of the smoothest players in the history of the game. And once Kyrie comes back, that’ll instantly improve that offense. With that being said, that’s going to be it for today’s video. Thanks so much for watching. Make sure to like button and hit that subscribe button and leave me a comment down below. 1. Good video my guy. I have been wanting the Mavs to collect 1st RPs to start the rebuild, but these dudes just put up 131 w/o Kyrie, PJ, and Gaff. If (big if!!!) this team can get everyone healthy they'll be fun to watch and a scary darkhorse.

  2. I think you want to see what year 2 and 3 of AD Kyrie and Flagg looks like. The entire core is signed through that so why not see what it looks like and perhaps more importantly Flagg doesn't grow up in a losing environment. They have the depth to handle the loss of AD 30 games a year with PJ Lively Gafford and Marshall to cover the 4 and 5. With Flagg Christie and klay for the 2 and 3 and Kyrie and Nemhard to run the point.

  3. The way the Mavs have been looking the last few games, I say don’t trade anybody of significance at this point! Kyrie will be back in a month and I think we can slip easily into the play ins if not the playoffs. If we get there, we will absolutely need Klay hitting three’s. He has found his new home off the bench and I think he has excepted it! He is in his Ray Allen years! As for AD, we just won’t get enough back for him as mentioned and I see a world where he goes somewhere and we will be missing him because he ballin! We just need to accept that he’s not going to play but maybe 50 games at best. We can just hope he’s healthy for a playoff run!

  4. There are at least 5 or 6 teams in the West that would smoke my Mavericks even when we’re totally healthy. Might as well trade the aging players while they still have some value, otherwise we’d spend the next 5-6 years in NBA purgatory.

  5. The pieces are falling into place, that's for sure.

As a Mavericks fan, I look at it this way: we're playing with house money. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. We've got guys like Nembhard, Williams, Christie and with Dereck Lively to build around, we've got something in the works. The ceiling for this team should be a Top 6 playoff team in the West and at worse a play-in team in the West

  6. They had the #4 defensive rating without AD on the floor. So yeah, now that he is back, just need everyone else to get healthy and stay healthy. Down 3 bigs right now. And Ky

  7. if these team stays healthy we are serious contenders. Bottom line. Big question is IF. I really think we should keep AD and see if he cang et a good stretch of games. The bigger question is Dante Exum.

  8. Aging, injury frequency and time of recovery relate and have to be taken into consideration when playing any player 30+. Otherwise you are making a fool ot yourself and play a lottery game.
