Get to know the Padres new skipper ππ₯π¦Ύ#shorts
here with Craig Stamon. Craig, what is the craziest item you’ve been asked to autograph? Probably shoe, forehead, cell phone, one of those three. What do you think you’d be doing if you weren’t a baseball player? I’d be working in my family business, which is selling farm equipment. So, I’d be in Ohio selling farm equipment right now. What is the furthest you think you could throw a baseball? Just chuck it. Good qu. You know what? If I’m feeling good, maybe 300 ft, something like that. 300 ft equals 90 mph. That’s about what I am. What is your warm-up song and any backstory behind how you picked it out? It’s I the tiger. And in high school, we were the Versailles Tigers. And they always played that for Friday night football games. Got me fired up. So I said, I’m bringing a little bit of hometown into Major League Baseball. If you could have one celebrity watch you play, who would you choose? I would probably say my boyhood favorite baseball players, Eric Davis, Barry Larkin, anybody from the 1990 World Series Reds, that’s probably who I’d pick. Who’s your favorite American artist and favorite Latin American artist? Probably the only Latin American artist I know is Bad Bunny. So I’ll go with him. American artist, we’ll go with Zack Brown Band. Who is the goat of baseball? It’s a great question. There’s so many good players over different generations. I mean, Babe Ruth is like comes to mind. Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Mike Trout’s going to be in that conversation probably if his career goes on. So, there’s a lot of great players. Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Sto. Those guys are going to be in that conversation at the end, too. What is the funniest thing a fan has ever said to you? Philadelphia. I was warming up to go in the game and the guy yells, “Steamm, you’re not even good enough to be on my fantasy baseball team.” It’s the worst. How many chains is too many chains? I guess this speaks to my age. I’d say two is too many. One is good enough. That’s all I got.
