Doc Rivers Postgame Press Conference | 11.28.25

I mean, in a close game, there was, you know, three-point shooters foul, kind of a key offensive rebound giving up, some untimely turnovers. I mean, it feels like some of the same Yeah, I don’t know. I mean, the bottom line is they had 13 more shots than us. Um, they had eight more free throws. Um, you know, again, we’re out shooting teams, shooting 52%. But it’s the turnovers. Um, it’s the offensive rebounding. It’s the fouls. It’s it’s a numbers game and and we have to win that game. You know, especially with Giannis, we’re going to if we win that game, we’re going to win the game. I can’t say without Giannis, it’s still a tight margin, but with Giannis back, obviously, he was on a minute restriction tonight, uh, which was really difficult in a game like tonight. We lost the leads when we took him off the floor for the most part, but we got to do what we got to do to try to get them back healthy. uh those three categories, which you feel like is the most winnable fouls. Yeah. Um thought we got a lot of tough fouls, but we were fouling too. Like we got to take ownership of it. Um uh and then the the other thing I thought defensive execution tonight. We we had a great a great game plan and in how we were supposed to uh help off of people and uh we miss we messed it up. I’m gonna say eight, nine times where it cost us buckets, cost us a big three by McBride uh late in the game and and we that we literally had just gone over it. So, those are the those are the tough part. Those are the things playing with your young guys that they’re going to make those mistakes and and we’re hoping that we’re keep growing and get better at it. Um you know, but I keep saying that you look at our team, you know, as a whole, we’re we’re going to be really good, but we just got to become whole again with Brian. Obviously, when Yas is out, it’s hey, take a lot of shots, be aggressive. It’s not that really. Um, you know, it’s it’s move the ball, play right. Um, I thought he got out of his um uh zone. We had to call the one timeout cuz he took that tough in between jump shot with nobody touching the ball. You know, those are the uh plays he has to just stay resist and stay away from. Jaylen has always been a tough cover, but he had that run in the third quarter. Yeah, him and uh Bridges. It felt like one of those two were were backing our guards down scoring. Um that’s why we brought in CS. I thought CS was phenomenal uh defensively overall on Brunson. You know, uh the problem was by the time he got going it was too late. Uh with Brunson, is that just kind of the tough part? It felt like hands were on him in the first half line a lot and then second half. Yeah. you you and then you know he gets away with the little um shay push you know let’s call it somebody else and that’s all he needs especially when the guard is the same size a little tougher on Cuz at least has length uh and can challenge his shots. You guys decide to go back to the starting line you used the first eight games. Yeah. Yeah, we like it just um they can hide guys uh with that lineup. So we like it a lot. There will be nights though with if someone has a bigger three uh where we’ll go with Cuz uh we’ve talked to our team about it. We have right now probably four guys that’ll start and then the fifth guy will decide. How did you think of how looked overall uh really well you know a little rusty you can see I you know when you come back the ball handling is where you struggle the most and you can see it and there’s a couple times you just got loose with the ball. Um, I used two timeouts, one in the first half, which you wouldn’t want to use, and one in the second just to give him a blow, you know. Um, I think we’re gonna just have to do that. But overall, I thought he played really well. I think 122 in the first half, six. Yeah, just didn’t make him. We had, I tell you, it’s two-point game. I think we had one for Miles and one for maybe both for Miles. Just wide open shots. And we will live with that shot all day. And Miles makes those shots. you just didn’t tonight. It’s a make miss league and and we missed the big threes. They made the big threes. You know, most of those guys, at least the veterans, have had a losing streak at some point. I know you have, but seven straight some tough ones. Um, how important is it for the veterans in there to kind of set a tone and kind of keep Yeah, I don’t think again I don’t think there’s any like panic going on with us. At least I haven’t seen it. I don’t sense it. I sense our guys are frustrated losing. Um, but I mean when you lose seven, it’s more of the outside noise. It always is. Not picking on you guys. It’s just that’s just the way it is. Uh, and then you watch your team. This is not a team that I’m that concerned by at all. I can tell you that. As a coach, is that your preference? Like, yeah. Yeah. I mean, not that you want panic in their No, you want your team to believe and this team has great belief. Um, they know what we’re going through and they just really they’re solid. They believe they’re going to be really good. They really believe that and and I do too.

  7. Cole/Bobby cannot be our bench moving forward. Break up the tandem. It's urgent we do so. DNP Cole for Ajax, Freaking non factors on both ends, bench is a no show every game. I will scream it from the rooftops. This is every game. Stop with the excuses, the planned “depth” of this squad has underperformed big time this season

  18. I’ve been a sports fan for many years, I can tell when a team quits on their coach, the players just refused to play and go all out to win, and turn a deaf ear on the coach and this is clearly what’s happening here with the bucks.

  20. It's not necessarily Cole or GTJ, you first have to get bobby outta there, don't even let him on this team, just cut him, Sims isn't perfect but he doesn't hurt you like bobby does, can't believe the coaches can't see how bad he is, he is the absolute epitiemy of negative impact

  26. Ppl keep saying fire Doc but honestly this season the refs been on one wit the Bucks for whatever reason… my opinion the NBA really tryna to push Giannis out of MKE which is sick asf. I would play sims more ova Bobby lowkey. I just need Sims to get comfortable and let loose and play his game frfr. He’s a better defender and quick on his feet when guarding players and when he gets rebounds he needs to go back up and dunk the mf or lay it up; easy work. GTJ been suspect all year Idk why. AJ needs to get loose more too. Rollins needs to handle the ball better, Kuzma just gotta be more consistent and efficient, Turner gotta get more rebounds frfr he should be averaging at least 8 per game honestly and beside that the refs really need to chill out with these bogus calls

  33. Yeah, this officiating is terrible. They literally missed some important calls in that change the outcome of the game. It makes the games hard to watch. The Bucks get treated like scum and get these bogus calls I’m tired of it.
