More Moves INCOMING… Report Reveals HUGE Jays Update | Toronto Blue Jays News
More moves are imminent for the Toronto Blue Jays as following a great signing yesterday. By signing Cody Pon, new reports have dropped from multiple reporters revealing not only the Jays aren’t done, but that something big is brewing. We’re going to break down those reports and discuss exactly what it means going forward. But not only that, we have some more updates and rumors surrounding the future of 1J’s starting pitcher that has fans very intrigued, as well as a ton of other updates, folks. But before we get into it all, quick reminder, hit that subscribe button. Your guys support has been truly unbelievable. Means the world to me. You guys are an absolute beast. Ladies and gentlemen, I had multiple videos for you guys. Yesterday, of course, there was a lot of updates and they finished off the day by signing Cody Pon. But folks, more moves are coming as shy to be Benos Smith. Ton of reporters have dropped articles, reports, tidbits about what’s next. And let’s dive into it. And we have a tidbit surrounding up a Rio trade you’re going to want to stay tuned for. But let’s start with this. Now, this was from Chad’s article last night/benical Smith and kind of mixing them up a little bit here in in the video, both their articles. So, ultimately, more starting pitching options are a good thing. So, Ponza’s presence makes the Jays a better team. And they still, this is the big part here, still they have work remaining with a late inning relief arm likely to be a target and position players like Kyle Tucker and Bo Bashette still possibilities. And before I read the end of this, this is crucial because if you think back to the other offseasons, Shy Devidi and Ben Nicholson Smith, of course, they work for Rogers, they work for Sportsnet, they will be very candid when you know they’re quote unquote done or if they don’t think they’re going to get one of the two. Name dropping both of those guys is absolutely crucial and means they are still engaged on both fronts. Now, they do have a caveat saying there’s no guarantee that they land either bat, but and because their markets are developing slower, but they’re still all in on them and still pursuing them heavily. And in the meantime, the Jays have meaningfully improved their pitching staff. So, clearly more moves are done. This doesn’t take them out of the Kyle Tucker sweep stakes and it certainly doesn’t take them out of the Boaet sweep stakes, which again, a lot of reports have dropped and we’ll be focusing on Bobaet in this video. A lot of reports have dropped surrounding Bobaet that are very encouraging. But regardless of that, they’re still in on both of those guys. Now, they’re also in on a bullpen arm. Now, this is from Keegan Mat, I believe. He says, “Now the focus can shift fully to the bullpen where a closer at least competition remains a priority.” And this from Keegan Matson. They’ll also need a big bat with Bette and Tucker at top both the market and the Blue Jays list. And they’ve set the tone by being aggressive. And of course with winter meetings now just a few days away on Monday. This is going to be a crazy, you know, off seasonason and already the story of the year with their surprise run of the World Series, they’re starting to feel like the story of the offseason in in the entire MLB, not just Jay’s Land, too. So this is very encouraging as well. You have Keegan Mat, of course, he’s been on my channel a bunch. Shout out to him. He’s reporting that they’re I mean Boet and Kyle Tucker at are at the top of the list. There is a reason these two names keep coming up up. It is because these are the guys the Jays are pursuing. We think to Cody Pon, Ben Nicholson Smith 6 hours before the signing hinted at the fact that they’re going in on Cody Pon. And I also believe that, you know, Ben Nicholson Smith had a report early on in the offseason hinting or at least maybe not a report, but a little tidbit thrown in one of his articles about Cody Pon. I’m not sure if I covered that fully. I think he was a part of one of the videos I made, but wasn’t the headliner. These guys know their stuff and they’re all in Bashette and Kyle Tucker. Specifically, I think Bo Bashette at this point. Now, couple other things to go over here. So Boba, the good news is they’re all in on that and we’ll have more updates with that. It seems that they are again heavily pursuing him. But with the big signing of Cody Pon, you can see here they’re already excellent rotation grows even deeper. The Pon edition is some tidy 2027 business done early. And as it stands, you have CE Gosman, Trey Savage, Peeber, Pon, and Bereos. And this has led to speculation from guys like Andrew Stoen, former Jay Ryder, or might be a current Jay writer as Well, I’m not entirely sure anymore, but guys don’t sign 10 by3 deals to not pitch. So, the well, yeah, they need a contingency for Bieber burritos, you savage stuff. Yeah, but no. And he’s saying yeah, but no, meaning a burrito trade. And things have started to get interesting specifically surrounding a Joseé Burios trade because recently Shotty went in the Blair Barker show and discussed how now this is from Mitch Bannon, but we’ll start with the uh the other tip at first. So, this is from Shiviti on the Blair Barker show. He said Jose Brios was on the IIL for the first time in his career. That’s not something he’s used to and he wasn’t happy with the way the season went. Knowing the competitor he is and the teammate that he is, it would have been very difficult for him to process not being able to take the ball and there was some friction between the team and Bereos. Now you pair that with some other reports that have dropped from Mitch Bannon who wrote a trade could happen or a trade could open the money and roster space for a more significant addition to they’d have a candidate in Burrios. Now this was November 27th. He said, “While Burios is one of baseball’s most reliable starters, they could potentially trade him following a bad year last year.” This has started to fuel speculation because you look at the rotation is a I mean, a Burio has an opt out in 2026 and if they think he’s going to walk, may as well get some assets for him if you have reliable pitchers, but b you have Lowour, you have I mean, Bound Francis in the woodworks. Also, shout out Alec Quinn. He got signed. He got signed by the Angels. So, we’re wishing him the best over here, you know, on Jay’s Digest, but you have so many great starters. Is this an opportunity to get some assets for Jose Brios? I mean, the answer is yes, right? The answer is probably there is an opportunity here. And this is where I mean, you pair this with the Deviti report. Things are getting a little bit weird. And he also said this, one of the things I heard is that he needed to be around his family or needs to go be with his family. There was something beyond that. I can’t say for certain. I imagine that there might have been some frustration there. So, he was annoyed, right? Briio was frustrated with the team. Could that lead to a trade? They went out, they got Dylan CE, which obviously is fantastic. They also now went out and got Cody Pon. You have so many guys in the woodworks. I mean, Ricky Tedman has potential. Eric Lowour is a clear opening. A trade here for Jose Bereos is much more likely than it was just a couple days ago. Now, there was an article that put a little bit of water on that fire, and you can see it here. The easy response here is to trade someone, but this isn’t a video game. This is from Giga Matson. The Blue Jays didn’t expect Lowour to be one of the most important pitchers last season, but that’s the nature of baseball. They aren’t going to roll out the same five starters all season, so this isn’t a problem and doesn’t need to be fixed in any hurry. But that doesn’t discount the fact that this represents a surplus in value. Pon is one of several options here. Could be a relief or bulk option, but the Blue Jays will surely prefer to stretch him out first. So again, a trade isn’t imminent at this point for Burios, but it sure as heck makes a lot more sense now to move off of a guy like Jose Bereios when you have this many starters available. And I have full faith that they want to be, you know, using Cody Pon in a starter role. You can see some of his projected stats, their overall projected RA. Plus, I mean, Gossman’s probably your ace with Dylan C having the potential to be, you know, their ace and there’s some projected stats here and things like that. But it’s going to be interesting, right? It’s going to be quite the next few days because at the end of the day here, folks, more moves are coming and it’s very likely to be, you know, a reliever like we’ve been covering in the channel, but Bo Bashett and Kyle Tucker are both still number one on their priority list. And also surrounding Cody Pon like that’s a great signing. Jeff Pass came out and he, you know, gave some interesting insight. We might have a full video coming out later today on exactly what it means. But they love his splitter which he you know and change up I guess they call it which is a you know split finger he got from Garrick Crochet and Klay Holmes they could really I mean this rotation is disgusting if so many viable options a trade is probably on the horizon here so and also Shadow came out recently and also said this the way the Blue Jays have spoken about it when there’s a business case to be made if they can justify it then they go and do it that’s why they got Dylan CE who also the signing was made official last night there’s been so much news I haven’t fully covered that but the signing is official now. So, he passed his physical, which is great. The press conference will be in the winter meetings at some point. So, things are going to pick up quickly. And at the end of the day, folks, this is the place to be for Daily Jay’s content. But, they got another full-on starter here. He’s projected to pitch over 140 innings. It’s going to he’s projected to outperform Carlos Rodon. So, it’s going to be interesting. Will he outperform Carlos Rodon Rodon? I don’t know. But, what I do know is that they have a heck of a rotation. And with these new reports, seems like Brios could be on the way
Nick Gosse breaks down how more moves are coming for the Toronto Blue Jays following a huge signing in Cody Pence.

All the top closers are almost gone
"Name dropping" two guys – is for the reach ability – its marketing 101.
Create your closer, you have the guy (Varland) – I have NEVER heard a guy come up in the pipeline who they said "he's a closer" we are grooming him to close, drafted specifically to be a "closer" – closers are built within after they fail to be a starter … build your own Closer this Christmas! Get working on Varland, he has the stuff, two dominate pitches and owns a bulldog mentality – teach him how to pitch and not just chuck for MPH's!
