The New York Giants should trade for Mike Tomlin. Now, there’s some Steelers fans want Mike Tomlin just like dude. Head platter. Serve him to the Wolves. It’s like so obviously if he Yeah, if he if he’s just available then like the Giants have an open job, they could just hire him. But if the Steelers say, “Yeah, I mean, we’re not looking to fire him.” But if somebody had an extra pick somewhere in there, and if you’re the Giants, you’ve got you got your quarterback. You think at le you don’t need a first round pick for a quarterback. You don’t need a first round pick for a wide receiver. If neighbors comes back, um if Scataboo comes back, like you think you’re pretty good at the like at the skill position spots. offensive line has taken a step forward this year, but there’s always but like if they said first round pick or second round pick and this and the Giants have a first round, a second, a third, a fourth, they got a bajillion like sixth round picks and a fifth and a seventh. I’m saying it would be worth a first or a second round pick for the New York Giants who haven’t had a top 10 defense in 12 years. They’ve got some they’ll go find an offensive coordinator. Um, but Mike Tomlin in the big city fixing that big blue defense for the first time in a decade and a half. The New York Giants should trade for Mike Tomlin is my hot take. Man, I can’t disagree with that. The more you were talking, the more I was seeing it fit together. Talk about stabilizing an organization that has just been kind of up and down really. I mean, really since Manning retired, like ever since Eli Manning retired, that organization has not been stabilitywise where it wants to be, you had that one bright year with Daniel Jones, go to the playoffs, beat your Vikings, and pay him a bunch of money and then move on. But then since then, it’s it’s just kind of been this coaching carousel trying to figure out what’s right. You bring in a proven winner that knows how to build a defense that you can just say, “Hey, we know what you’re doing. Here’s the keys of the car.” I think that is 100% worth a first or second round pick. I think he might be just available though. I think I honestly think the Steelers might just move on from him and I think it’s a dumb move. I And here’s the thing. I think the Steeler organization is very smart. I think they’re also intelligent. And unless they have their sights set on the next Ben Johnson or the next guy that they are so believing in that that’s going to be the turn of the tide, there’s no way you let Mike Tomlin Tomlin walk out that door unless you 100% have a succession plan already put in place. Yeah. I think like from a Steelers perspective, there’s a there’s a couple factors that could be in play. One of them more than the other. The first factor is like he’s been here for almost 20 years. it maybe it’s getting stale but I mean that hasn’t that’s been their organization they literally have had three head coaches since the 1960s and so their entire organization’s history is coaches getting kind of stale and and like Bill Cower got kind of stale for a while and he stayed around and um so I don’t I don’t know that I don’t think they make decisions with that type of thinking in mind of well we’re kind of we’re kind of bored with this or they they value stability they value the long term always kind of in contention But the one area that I could see them getting sick of is, hey, it’s been seven years since we’ve had any or I think 8 years since we’ve had a viable offense. And at some point, you either got to find a formula at quarterback or or like Mike Tomlin is not a great offensive guy, which might maybe that scares some Giants fans with my hot take here. Um, but I think if you’re the Steelers, maybe you just get sick sick of the fact that your highest ranked offense yardage-wise is like 23rd since Ben Rothosberger retired. But it’s not like they haven’t tried to fix it. I mean, they go out and they draft Kenny Picket, who everyone believed was a first round quarterback. It’s not like that was a reach. I don’t think everyone when they drafted Kenny was like, “Oh man, that’s a reach.” I mean, everyone pretty much believed he was a firstround quarterback. And so, you go draft a first round quarterback, it doesn’t work out. It doesn’t go well. And so then you go to Mason Rudolph and that obviously doesn’t go well either. Then you go to Aaron Rodgers, that hasn’t gone well either. And as you can be proven by the Minnesota Vikings, as you can be proven by the New York Giants, the quarterback position makes the offense go or not. It doesn’t matter how great of a run game you have built around it, it doesn’t matter how great of an offensive line, weapons, whatever it might be. If the guy that touches the football every single play on offense isn’t great, your offense is going to suck. Like that’s just the way it goes. Even if your quarterback’s mid, your offense is still going to probably suck. And they have had mid-tier to low tier quarterback play since Ben Rothosberger left. And I think, you know, they’ve switched some stuff on the upper management. They’ve switched some stuff in their piece there. But it also goes back to what we talked about. They’re always just good enough that they’re never going to be in contention for Drake May or Jaden Daniels or um Boon Knicks, that type there, because they pick at 18 or 19 or 20 every single year. And so it’s this weird place to be in as an organization where it’s like we’re good but we’re not good enough. And it’s one of those things like, do you have to sacrifice the coach to then be bad and draft high and then pick the thing or do you just say, “Hey, we got to just spend the money in free agency and go get the Matt Stafford or make the huge trade to go get a legitimate Trevor Lawrence or a CJ Strad or someone that you’re willing to just bet the farm on and say, “We might overpay for this dude.” But that’s the only way this offense gets fixed. I mean, it’s Yeah. You’re talking about like on the Steelers front. On the Steelers front. Yeah. So they could like if they’re let’s say the Steelers are in but they’ve kind of tried that too. Like let’s try Aaron Rogers. Let’s try Russell Wilson. It would have to be it would have to be someone that But it it can’t be a guy on the tail end of his career. You have to get a guy in the heart of his career, right? You have to be willing to shell out the money if you want to make the trade for a guy that is right there. I mean like the Lions and the Rams did, right? be willing to give up two first round picks for a quarterback that you truly believe in. Right. If in and I see Kyler Murray and Tomlin coexisting. Yeah. I mean, if that’s what you got to do, but I think again that’s that’s buying someone’s trash to make them your treasure. You don’t want to do that. You either have to nail your first round pick and draft up and trade up to go get the quarterback that you believe in, which I don’t think is this draft class unfortunately for them, or you maybe make a huge offer to Daniel Jones or you make a big offer to Sam Darnold or know I mean should have done that. Should have done that last year, right? Like should have should have bet on that guy instead of Aaron Aaron Rogers. But I don’t know if that’s a Tomlin decision or if that’s an Omar Khan decision. you know, whoever is in charge of that offense and that building that roster. It’s one of those things where you have to make a decision at the quarterback before because I don’t care what coordinator you bring in. I don’t care who if the quarterback’s not good, nothing in the offense is going to be good. Yeah. on the on the Giant side, just to tie this kind of back full circle, I for as frustrated as Steelers fans are about the stagnant feeling of their organization, it could I feel like the the the Giants look at the Steelers right now and probably think, boy, it be it’d be great to always be above 500. And you know, lately there’s been some leaky Steelers defenses, but like generally the Steelers have really good defenses and uh and they are highly competitive and they’re winning 9 to1 11 games and they’re in the mix. And the complaint is, hey, it’s time to win a Super Bowl again here in Pittsburgh. And I get that the Giants have only been to the playoffs twice since their last Super Bowl win 15 years ago. And and like I said, the last time the Giants had a top 10 yardage defense was in 2013, three years before Tom Coughlin retired, dude. Like that was before the Ben Mcadoo disaster. I wasn’t even in the NFL yet. I was that was my senior year at Nebraska. Husker Jeremiah. Yeah, that was that was go big red Nebraska days. Adult Jeremiah has never seen a top 10 Giants defense basically. Yeah. Since since I’ve grown a beard, I’ve never seen a top 10 Giants defense. And what’s crazy is you look at that defense and I’m even watching it last night and I’m going, dude, how right Dexter Lawrence, Brian Burns, like Abdul Carter, what what the hell’s going on with him? But that’s two times he’s been here, we’ll get to that, right? But I think, you know, you look at the people that they brought in and how they’ve built that defense from the interior defensive line to the edge rushers out. They should be better than they are. And so I don’t know if that’s a coordinator problem, a culture problem, all of the above problem, but you know, Joe Sheen got retained. He’s leading the next head coach search. And he also is aware that whoever he ties himself to here on this next coaching is who will either get him fired or get him extended. And so he needs to look at and go, how do I want to build this team? And I think that I would build it from the defensive side because that’s the side that has the most talent but can just use more of the like building and then hire a great offensive coordinator to handle the young quarterback, to handle the young receiver, to handle Scataboo, go draft another weapon on the edge. I mean, Theo Johnson’s going to be a great tight end for them when he’s young and he’s growing too. They’ve got Andrew Thomas locked up at left tackle. They’re going to need another guard because Greg Van Roen’s 36 years old, right? Extend the center in the middle. Shameless plug, right? Extend the center in the middle. Put some consistency there. And then, yeah, I think you go hire a really good offensive coordinator. But I think the next coach for the New York Giants needs to be a defensive-minded guy. Yeah. But especially extend the center in the middle. Especially extend the center. Top of that list. That is priority number one. If I’m Joe, let’s reset the market, Joe. Let’s make it happen. Come on. Let’s be bold. Be bold, Joe. Let’s do it. If If I could take this hot take a little further, there are three other teams. I think e either I mean obviously if Tomlin becomes available for so there’s three teams I have on my wouldn’t it be fun if Mike Tomlin coached these teams list I think two of them only get access to him if he’s fired cuz they’re in division the Cincinnati Bengals cuz cuz he would he when when he got when he got to uh to Pittsburgh Rothosberger had already like they drafted Rothosberger three years beforehand under Bill Cower Y and He kind of took his lumps for 40 games, but he got 40 games under his belt and was a fairly ready-made product when Tomlin got there and then they worked together for over 10 years, right? Just like Jo like Joe Burrow is the readymade solution at quarterback. Hey, I’m a defensive I’m a defensive mind who builds cultures and if the offense can already kind of be set, it’d be great. And so you got that with Joe Burrow and the and the defense is terrible and needs fixing and that’s where Tomlin can come in. So, if I’m Tomlin, I don’t want to go somewhere where I can’t build a defense cuz I don’t have any money. I have no money. I have no I have no cash in hand. Build my defense. Think how much money he’s spending on his defense with Pittsburgh right now. It’s I think it’s the most in the NFL. It’s the most in the NFL. And so, are you going to flip that and be like, “Hey, Joe Burrow, T. Higgins, Jamar Chase, maybe you can have Trey Hendrickson, but other than that, dude, draft. you better draft them because you ain’t sign him in free agency. You ain’t bringing Cam Hayward. You ain’t bringing TJ Watt. Like there is no transfer portal. On the other side, Cleveland. You put the other division team. Yeah. You put Mike Tomlin in Cleveland with Miles Garrett and that crew. But again, that would be fun watching those guys collaborate. Is it that different than what’s at Pittsburgh right now? You have a quarterback nightmare. It’s a situation, right? Pittsburgh’s a better situation than Cleveland, right? I mean, by far better situation. And so, if I’m Mike Timelin, I’m not going in division for a worse situation. Like, that just wouldn’t make sense. And again, I think that there’s no way, unless Pittsburgh let him walk and maybe he had a vendetta that he would do that. I think I think Tomlin’s very similar to, you know, there’s certain coaches that like certain things. And I don’t think he’d want to go somewhere where he’s starting over at the quarterback position again. And I think if he’s going to make a move from Pittsburgh because they fired him or if they’re trading him, he doesn’t have a choice. But if they fire him, he’s going to want to go somewhere that has a solidified quarterback so he doesn’t have to do this carousel thing at the QB position. Yeah, I think yeah, that’s 100%. Um, which which probably is a is a point against the team I’m going to bring up here and I will ding myself. I will ding myself for a for a homer fine here. But wow. I want to I want to lay something out here. And I don’t know how much like you know you’re not like you played for the Vikings but it wasn’t like you followed the Vikings super closely when you were in high school or whatever right but no so a little little story time with I like story time with old Macadak. So back in 2005 the Wolves took over ownership of the Minnesota Vikings and their their coach at the time was Mike Ty and they actually almost made the playoffs in 2005. That was the love boat season where all the players were like partying is a is a PG word for what they were doing was strippers on boat. They’re playing with the P words on the boat. Yes, they were. Yeah. Yes, they were. Um and so Mike Ty kind of oversaw this mess and got fired. So they hired, so their first full off season as owners, they hired Brad Childress to be the head coach and then Brad with ownership hired a young Mike Tomlin as the defensive coordinator in in 2006. So Mike Tomlin spends one year with the Vikings and helps turn them into one of the one of the best like run defenses in the league. and he gets an interview with the Steelers as like a 35year-old or 34 year old and everyone kind of thought that’s a that’s a cool deal. I don’t know, maybe they’re just like checking a box, but he impresses so much in that interview. The Steelers hired him as head coach after one year as coordinator in Minnesota. And I can tell you, Mike Tomlin has been viewed for many, many years at many different times as the one that got away because I mean, they weren’t in a position to say goodbye to Brad Childress after one year and make that flip, but it was like, oh, Tomlin went on to win a Super Bowl while Brad Childress winds up getting fired like two years later and what what what if it had worked out the other way where you had So, there’s always been this thought in Minnesota of they had they were on to Tomlin early as a coordinator. He was the one that got away. And I’m telling you, if he were to get fired by the Steelers, and there was that weird report like 11 months ago, came out of nowhere that Kevin O’Connell, it came from O’Connell’s camp that um hey, like there’s some teams reaching out about a trade for Okonnell and there’s some tension behind the scenes right now. If Tomlin became available, I’m just saying it’s a conversation. Stop in Minnesota. I I mean, are you are you that out on the coach of the year already? I’m not I’m not out. Fire out. Boon’s walking in like the hell are you idiots talking about? Boon, let me catch you up. Hot take Tuesday started off with I think the Giant should trade for Mike Tomlin and it’s devolved into my Vikings. Yeah, it’s dissolved into Mackie wants to trade Kevin Oonnell for Mike uh Mike Tomlin, in fact. So, hold on. That’s that’s a great hot take right now. If you were to ask both teams, hey, VI Vikings, Steelers, how would you feel about a coach swap? KOC goes and fixes the Steelers offense. Aaron Rogers stays another year. And Tomlin comes back home to the Minnesota Vikings for he was I think Tomlin would strangle Nine. Like I think I think he Well, you might have to get a new Mac. I could see Tomlin like as he walks out there and Nine’s doing his like zen thing before the game just like slamming his head against the pole two or three times like get up get ready to go play like would knock off your zen nonsense and get ready to go throw a football like again I I don’t know I can’t say that I wouldn’t I think that’d be incredibly interesting I think that dude you stumbled into a great one there I I was thinking more like I don’t know directly but you’re doing you’re straight up trade straight up trade right straight up hey Kevin Oonnell for for Mike Tomlin. I’m take I would take Mike Tomlin. I would take if I’m the Minnesota Vikings, I would take Mike Tomlin over Kevin Okonnell. What did I just walk into? What are you guys so bad? As you’re now out on the coach of the year. Jesus. I’m I’m not out on the coach of the year. I’m just looking at a proven winning, Super Bowl winning coach that can come in and steady the ship versus Kevin Oonnell who’s a younger head coach and yeah, he was coach of the year and things gone well. I’m taking the proven veteran every single time over the young player. And you cannot disagree with me on that. Wow, Boon. Wow. I don’t I don’t know what to say right now. What the hell did I just walk into? Like, you want to do coaching? I just laid it out for you. I just laid it out for you saved somehow. Okay. If you’re the Minnesota Vikings, if you’re the Minnesota Vikings and you get said all things equal right now, you could have Mike Tomlin or Kevin Oonnell. Who do you take? I take Mike Tomlin. Man, I don’t know. That’s a good question. I mean, I would have said months ago. Why are you taking Mike Tomlin though, Mackey? I think so. A couple things. There’s there’s two different answers here. There’s the I the my original hot take was through the eyes of the Wil ownership group that loved Mike Tomlin when he was a one-year coordinator their first full year as owners. And there’s always been a thought in Minnesota that man that the Mike Tomlin’s like the one that got away that they were they they identified him early and then the Steelers poached him as a head coach. So, like if he became available ever, and he hasn’t been since he left the Vikings, he has not been available. That I think that would be an interesting conversation behind closed doors. Um, I also think Tomlin, especially with like a new locker room and everyone’s ears are fresh, is a great culture builder, man. Like, he’s Imagine if it’s like the message isn’t stale anymore, too. And that’s why I brought the Giants up. I think he’d give All right, Giants, you want a leader of men and a guy that’s going to give you a top 10 defense for the first time in a decade and a half, here’s your guy. Whether it’s via trade or but if you’re the Steelers and Steelers fans right now and you ask them, would you rather have Kevin O’Connell with this terrible offense you’ve had for eight years Steelers or Mike or another year of Mike Tomlin? I guarantee you Pittsburgh would say Kevin Oonnell. They would say KOC for sure. I I just don’t The grass is always greener, man. always greener. It’s not though. And I don’t know that like they’re e both of either of them is really to blame. I I’m going to continue to die in this hill. It’s all about the quarterback play for both of them. It’s based on and it’s 100% because there’s not enough good quarterbacks. And I can’t believe I’m saying that because there’s only 32 teams and we’re like there’s not even enough sufficient guys to supplant that many teams. And we’re looking at this going, “Well, it’s the coaches. It’s not the coaches. It’s the fact that Tomlin’s kind of been handcuffed to this offense that is so stale since two what four, six, eight years ago. It hasn’t been good forever. And so his defense is eventually going to crack. It’s going to just fall on top of itself. It’s imploding as we speak. Cameron Hayward’s already the first domino to fall. And it’s like, “Okay, now one of your leaders is [ __ ] going nuts. How do you calm the whole room down?” Right? because everybody in that room has to show who the most respect. Cam. And so now everyone’s like, “Shit, Cam Sp what are we doing?” Right? And over here on the flip side, KOC is like, “Why can we not just throw the [ __ ] ball? I just want you to throw it to the guy in purple. What’s so hard about that?” Both of them are dealing with the same problems. The guy who holds the ball 90% of the time is screwing this up. and they’re looking and this is where I’m going to really draw a line, maybe poke a finger. It falls on the GM. It all on you. Where are you to be like, “Hey, man, this is good talent, right? Like, this is a good quarterback.” And it’s like, we went over yesterday was a bad pick in that room. We could have all been like, “Well, oh, I didn’t get invited to that one.” I love those conversations podcast. You were in it. I thought you were talking about I thought you were talking about like your Vikings one. I’m on purple daily. You were talking about it, how you were like, remember yesterday we were like, what did they do in Michigan? They ran the ball, right? They were play action. That’s why there’s such big windows. Who was their tight end? Uh Coloulston Lovelin. Like there’s so many guys from that team that are balling out. That was the same. That was the same that was the same Pittsburgh with Kenny Picket. Not really though, because this is different. This is KOC should have internally been like, “Yo, this kid’s not going to fit my system. Red alert. This dude doesn’t fit my system. Here’s what we do. We trade the whole [ __ ] enchilada for number two or three. Dude, you know what they tried to do? What’s crazy about that is what’s crazy about that is so a year and a half ago they tried to get up for Drake May and they try they tried to trade for Justin Herbert. Mhm. Legit like there was there was a report on draft night and we on Purple Daily we we have this the anonymous Purple Daily tip line. if you have information, you send it in and we’ll probably read it on the show. And and two different people had sent in like this is going to sound crazy, but I’m hearing based on my my uh best friend’s uncle’s cousin’s dog that was in the facility that Herbert Adam dude Adam Shfter comes out on draft night and says, “Oh, they uh they definitely tried to trade for Justin Herbert and got shot down by Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers.” They were trying they were trying. They wanted the gunslinger, the big tall gunslinger. And that’s why it’s funny because like when you look at that, if you’re the Vikings and you go, “Hey, we’ll give you whatever you want for Herbert. You can get your boy from Michigan. We all work out. We all make sense. We’re going to do what we do.” Right? The minute that Harbaugh went like this, and maybe I didn’t even see it, too. The minute that he was like, “Listen, hard pass on that.” They should have been like, “Why are you hard passing on your boy? Like, this is Wait, ride or die, loyalty till the end. What do you mean hard pass? like we’ll give you everybody except for Justin Jefferson. How about that? Like you can have everybody except for Justin. They were like we don’t want anything that you have for what we have. And that’s when they should have been like red alert. We need to get Drake May in the building right now. It falls a little bit on KC because I’m sure that Quy was probably like hey man you realize that like to get this dude we’re going to have to throw the ball a little bit. And he was probably like yeah yeah we got this. Like you got this. Right now it’s like that imploded. It’s amazing how every road we take, whether this hot stake started with Tomlin going to the Giants, leads back to JJ McCarthy sucks. Like every everything just rotates back to like decisions, decisions, decisions. The JJ McCarthy sucks. So, I’m going to throw another hot take out there for you guys. Hey, hold on. Do it. All right, give us your hot take here, Jay. Do it. All right, Paul, do it. The hot take here, and maybe it’s not the hottest of hot takes, but I think what a terrible based off of what I’ve seen this weekend that the road to the Super Bowl will go through Denver in the AFC. I think that throughout the rest of this way, they’re gonna win. Literally, Denver, that is the hottest take I’ve ever I think that the road to the playoffs, the road to the Super Bowl for the AFC will go through the Denver Broncos and Mile High based off of what their schedule looks like the rest of the way. Based off of what that defense is looking like, it is suffocating. It is going through there. They got to play Kansas City again. They got to play the Chargers again. I am willing to stamp now with Daniel Jones being hurt, with his ankle being hanging on by a thread, looking at the rest of the AFC, that the road to the Super Bowl goes through Mile High. First of all, this weekend’s a win. Hold up. Hold up. You realize that there’s a team right now in first place that just dismantled a team last night. They literally woke up and they were like, “Who the [ __ ] is this little brother over here? Somebody smack the [ __ ] out of him and let him know they’re in our way. Yeah. Listen, I will stake in a beer. And this is the realest steak in a beer right now. You have been on Denver for the last couple weeks and it’s because you’re being a [ __ ] homer. Hit him with it. Hit him with it right now. Love the homer. They’re in second placehood dreams. Oh, you’re going to rely on your childhood dreams right now? No, I’m not. I’m relying on Shawn. This is his childhood team. I am relating on Shawn Payeyton and that defense that they will be the ones they will be the ones that lead the road to the Super Bowl. They’re going to clinch the number one seed in the AFC and the road to the Super Bowl will go through Denver. So, it’s a steak official steak in a beer will get number one seed in AFC. The cults are toast. The cults are toast with Daniel Jones leg being broken. I just they’re going to make the playoffs, but I just I don’t see them being the best team in the AFC when their quarterback can’t move. Well, that’s just a big point. Wait, wait. Is the is the stake in a beer is the steak and a beer that the Broncos will host the AFC Championship game or that they will get the one seed? The one AFC Championship game? No, the one seed. I’m saying the whole thing rolls. The whole thing has to go through Denver, right? Maybe they don’t make the AC literally. Not literally, but they will host. They will be the one seed and everyone will say the road to the Super Bowl goes through Denver. I am totally in this. And you’re saying it’s going to be New England. I’m going to say I’m going to take the field. I’m going to be like you. I’m going to take the field. But here’s the problem. That’s true. You do get the field technically. You get the field a lot. That’s fine. What was it? Sunday night when I was watching Marcus Mariota and I was like, “Okay, listen. If they pull this win off against one of the baddest defenses, if it weren’t for Nick Bonito jumping up 12 feet in the air and batting that ball down, ifs and butts were candy nuts Christmas ever. That’s fine. I don’t you I just can’t put my stake on that they’re going to be the number one seed going in when it’s like, man, you they’re battle tested. They’ve had big wins. They’ve had blowouts. They found ways to come back in the fourth quarter. Like that team has been battle tested all the way through and they haven’t blinked. They haven’t blinked. Can you tell me the last time either of the two teams we’re talking about lost a football game? Patriots or Broncos? Oh, it’s got to be like week two. Week three. They were both one They were both one and two and they both the both of them are on an 11ame win streak. That would be an exciting game because watching those two quarterbacks from that same draft like dude, if you go back and do that draft right now, Caleb, right? All of a sudden, you’re looking at Bo, you’re looking at Drake, what Jaden could have been if he was still playing with Washington. Like what the year the first year they had, you’re kind of like, what would could have year two been like, right? Like that actually ended up being a really badass class. And it’s exciting because they’re still so young that you’re like maybe the tide is changing for what’s crazy is we talk about the changing of the tide, but that means now we’re talking about Momes, Allen, Herbert as like heads. They’re like the old heads, but those guys are nowhere near But they’re nowhere near like the 38-y old door forever. Yeah. Who’s the old old guard right now? It’s It’s Rogers. Stafford Flaco. Flaco. Flaco, I guess. Yeah. I mean, but then if you kind of go the next step down, it’s Allen. It’s Allen, Baker, Dash, Lamar Mahomes. Lamar Mahomes. That’s like that mid tier, but like the there’s the the quarterback play in the NFL has never been more fun since I can remember growing up like from across the board. And then even like the young guys that were not sure if they’re good yet, they’re just awesome to watch. Like Jackson Dart just I’ve got five concussion checks this year and I’m I’m still He’s got to take care of himself. Please step out of bounds. Please take care of yourself. As an O lineman, I’m watching this like, dude, I By the way, when I saw J Mike jump in there, I was I could tell you were nervous cuz I know I’ve been on the other end of that where your agent’s like, “What the [ __ ] are you doing now? We got to sit in on this meeting with Derek Brooks.” I was just my biggest thing. I was like, “Just don’t put him on the ground. Just don’t put him on the ground. Just don’t put him on the ground.” Cuz I was like, I was like, “If you run him out there, I was like, “If you just run him out of there.” I was like, “You just run him out of there, be fine.” I was like, “You power bomb him like into the net or something?” Like, “We’re going to be on the phone with John.” Like, by the way, Renion, you son of a bee. Oh, it’s on now. By the way, Renion used to And that was what was like so funny is you’d get on the phone with him and be like, “John, how did this happen? How did this come full circle?” Dude, my favorite My favorite is when like people like, “Oh, you’re doing the discipline rules.” And it’s like the video of him just like torpedoing over the pile and spearing a guy in the chest. And it’s like, “Oh, yeah, you’re head of handing out discipline fines now. That that makes sense.” To be fair, if there was anyone I wanted to give me like a $15,000 fighting fine, it would have been John Renan. Cuz when him and Strahan went at it, like I don’t think they could ever be in the same room together still because they would just go at it. And so he’d like at times I’d be like, “So like, are you impressed? Are you not impressed being as that you used to fight a Hall of Famer all the time? Like, did you think this was a cool fight?” He’d be like, “I think it was stupid and unprovoked.” And I was like, “Okay, cool. Got it.” All right. Uh, back to my hot take here. Do you have the schedule pulled up, Mac? Uh, yeah. The Broncos schedule. The Broncos. The road to the Super Bowl. Well, they have one they have one guaranteed win this weekend uh at the Raiders. Yep. That’s a W. So, that takes him to what? That’s 11 and two. That’s 11 and two. Yep. And then it’s home against Green Bay in week 15, home against Jacksonville at Kansas City on Christmas, and then home against the Chargers. You’re crazy. You think they’re just going to run through this schedule? By the way, Jacksonville’s number three. Why would Hold on. The the Patriots on the flip side. Okay, the here’s the Patriots schedule. So, they get the by-week. They have a as late of a buy as you’ve ever had in the NFL here. So, we’re still doing buys apparently this late. Then they go home against Buffalo who’s looking for their win back. Mhm. Or their loss back or whatever, right, from the game early at Baltimore, desperately fighting to get into the bracket. So, these are two real tough games out of the buy at the resurgent New York Jets in week 17. And then home against Miami. That’s going to be Miami Miami playing 20° temperatures. Listen, here’s what we’re going to do for all those listening right now. Listen to me. When I win, put your steak and beer on the Patriots then. Watch this. We are going to go to Drago. We’re going to Drago in New Orleans. And you’re buying us. Why are we going to New Orleans? because it is the greatest oysters rock in New Orleans. We’re going on a road trip. That’s what this steak and a beer steak and a beer is now requiring me on a plane. I’m out. I’m out. I’m not I’m not making That’s what’s so fun about this is that we’re like, “Hey, I’m in New Orleans. You owe me that [ __ ] Drago. Let’s go because we’re going to New Orleans. Shut up.” Anyways, yeah, I still think Denver wins it. I still think Denver has a one seed going in Okay. going in that going into the playoffs. Okay. All right, boys. There we go. Football. We got a We have a limited window to record today, so I feel like we should put an end to this and get to our Bears film breakdown for people to consume. The Bears ran the ball. I’m not sure if you heard uh 472 times against the Eagles the other day. And we’re going to we’re going to break down all of them. But so excited. If we are being actually honest. I don’t think tomlin is the defensive head coach they might want… they may just promote Brian Flores to that position. He’s got his feet under him in making the defense show up even when we are having such a bad season. I think he’s the clear choice
What is with the Tomlin glaze? By Sirles own words, the nfl is what have you done for me lately. What has he done to make him an instant hire? The “standard” above 500, get blown out in the playoffs?
Does Kyler Murray end up as a Viking after this season?
Rookie mistake best way to get Boone to show up on time is tell him you're going live.😂😂😂😂
KoC has done an interview saying that he is the quarterback killer in the building and that he had influence on determining what quarterbacks. Everyone ignores that and blames the front office. I know you guys like this guy, but he doesn't get a pass. He called himself the quarterback killer.
Kirk Cousins has won a playoff game more recently than Mike Tomlin. You guys always talk a out how you are judged by you'relast "at bat" but, as soon as Tomlin comes up that all goes out the window. It doesn't matter that his last playoff win came when Stafford was on the Lions and Patrick Mahomes was just starting in the league. It doesnt matter that his only super bowl win came when Peyton manning was in Indy. The steelers look competent because they don't do anything. If Tomlin can't win playoff games when he has a blank check for his defenses, what makes you think that he could win with any other situation? Tomlin is Marvin Lewis with a worse regular season
There is know way the Mara and Rooneys do that deal.Dont you realize that the leader of these two teams are married, check Kate Mara and Rooney Mara. That deal never happens.
Even though I may not agree with some takes I always enjoy the show. Blows me away you guys are not over 40k!
Tomlin is one of several that got away. Tony Dungy, Pete Carroll, even Brian Billick won a Super Bowl.
Did I miss the F1 minute or?
Where's my F1 minute 😮
The Vikings should trade for Tomlin. Bring him home.
Mike Tomlin would be awesome on the Raiders.
This is a great show. Its like purple kool-aid with an nfl sandwich and chips
Tomlin had Big Ben.No way he does what he's done in Pittsburgh. He would have more than likely been similar to what they've been the last 4 years.8 to 9 wins a year.Sounds familiar.Nah,Tomlin didn't get away.He went to a better team.

You are what your record is. Tomlin's record since Rothlesberger got old is mediocre.
Trade the head coach to Cleveland bring back stefansky
Is Kwesi the worst gm in Vikings history ?
DFQ: what happens if Alex misses the podcast and Jeremiah takes an agent call on a live stream??
vikings trade koc for mike tomlin
Tomlin can't fix Pittsburgh's defense, why do you think he's fixing NY's? The way you glaze Tomlin is just embarrassing. I look forward to the Vikings firing KOC and watching them be basement dwellers for a decade.
Also, I'm pretty sure everyone thought Pickett was a reach? He was the best qb in that draft, but that draft sucked.
I think staley was with the chargers when they drafted Herbert.
Giants should trade for KO. Or Miami! Can you imagine Tyreek going long every play!
Hilarious that Boone chose to censor himself with the B word. Not 30 seconds ago, "FUCK HIS FACE"
