Are Edmonton and St. Louis good trade partners? πŸ‘€ #SDP #Oilers #Blues #NHL

the rumor that happened this weekend with the Edmonton Oilers. Bennington has one more season to go on his contract and the sense is he won’t be a part of any retool the Blues might undergo because the Blues are also having a bad year. The strongest speculation ties Bennington to Edmonton. Uh so I don’t know how they do that and that the Oilers are also seeing if they can get a defenseman out of St. Louis at the same time. That potential deal that that would be crazy would most likely be built around Stuart Skinner going back to St. Louis to team up with Hoer. If if we’re doing salary for salary cuz the Oilers are capped out, I think. Is that a Darnell nurse going the other way? Like that would be the most convenient thing for the Oilers to get rid of that $9 million and bring in a nice stud like Paro. Darnell nurse. He’s got the little anchor. He’s got full no movement clause. 9.25 till 2030. I’m sorry. I’m giving you Bennington and Pareo. And taking nurse, you are giving me every single asset of your future. And that’s okay. Yeah. I’m trying to win a Stanley Cup. There’s not a lot of teams that can justify that. I think the Oilers are probably one of them.

  1. every team that underperformed gets treated like this by Canadian Media. It’s always a trade for a top player (off the struggling team) with a load of crap coming the other way.

  2. You guys shoulda thought this through. Why would St. Louis make this kinda trade with Edmonton not having a first round pick for the next two years or any real prospects after the Blues signed Broberg and Holloway.

  3. Bouch + Skinner + Pickard + Nurse all can go. Just Something sensible in return. Goalie-wise someone with good balance would be good! Likes of Wolf, Korpisalo, Askarov all would do. And many more… just change it up and get some room to salary cap.

  4. LOL why would the Blues take a worse goaltender and a worse Dman at a higher cap hit 9 million?

Unless Oilers are offering some 1st rounders this aint happening.

  5. Why would the Oilers make a lateral move in net for a goalie that is 5 years older and double the cost AND trade all their assets away? Thats just making a move to make a move.

  6. If the Blues are going to let go Payrako and Binner, Why are they taking that Nurse contract and get the worst goalie in the league? Oilers GM has worked himself in a corner.

  7. Edmonton needs to call up Seattle, because both their backups are playing better than Nurse and Binnington. If Edmonton is trying to roll the dice and get in/get deep into the playoffs, that’s the short-term answer. If Seattle is out of it, go get a goalie
