We’re posting on the daily here on Rockets Digest and stuff you don’t ever want to miss. Okay, let’s talk about this absolutely wild situation that is going on with Giannis Antakmpo. So, as you know, this past off season trade rumors were running wild for a multitude of different reasons. the Milwaukee Bucks seemed to be going in a different direction than him and ultimately they just weren’t a winning organization anymore. Well, it ended up not being a trade that ever happened and people kind of forgot about it, at least until a couple days ago and more specifically until yesterday because it was reported yesterday that Giannis had deleted a majority of his Bucks content from his Instagram and from his ex/ Twitter. he had less up only some post from the 2021 NBA championship and their NBA Cup championship. This obviously sparked a ton of rumors and uh was kind of a wild thing. Now, I do want to press back on that and say that was kind of proven false, saying that he actually did not delete a majority of his Bucks post. He was just kind of cleaning out his Instagram. It really wasn’t anything that should be taken too heavily. At least that was the thought. But it then took another turn in favor of the Greek freak being traded when Ari um very good reporter for the NBA tweeted out this saying quote amid a rough start to the season Milwaukeee’s Giannis Antakmpo has grown increasingly frustrated with the franchise a source familiar with the situation tells the consensus that was something that was absolutely wild to hear yesterday as well and obviously Milwaukee lost to the Wizards. It was just kind of a okay, where does Giannis go from here? Because it was obvious he stayed in Milwaukee because he felt like they could be a winning organization. Now, it doesn’t exactly seem that way. And that’s where again you kind of continue on and think about the last little bit of what has happened. And then today, this happened. We got a report from Brian Winhorst on ESPN saying that he had requested a trade before the start of the 2025 2026 season. However, he ended up committing to the Milwaukee Bucks for the season as long as they were in a quote winning situation. But what exactly does a winning situation mean? Well, it’s not what the Milwaukee Bucks are in. I’ll tell you that because ultimately they are in the bottom of what is a pretty bad East division. and they continuously lose to teams that they should not with an athlete like Giannis. And well, it seems as though now Giannis said, “Hey, it’s a winning situation. I’m here. We’re not in a winning situation anymore.” Here is the full quote from Brian Winhorse saying, quote, “Guys, Giannis has already asked to be traded. It hap it appears Giannis committed to himself for the season to the Bucks, but the Bucks are not good this year. When Giannis hasn’t played, the Bucks are 1 and5. when he has played they’re only nine and eight what his viewpoint change I don’t know obviously this is something that Rockets fans are intrigued upon specifically because well all off season we had talked about Giannis Antidmpo as a major piece to the Houston Rockets plan in 2025 2026 now they do have to preface with that that that was a kind of at one point andor situation with Kevin Durant and it was okay Well, they’re either going to go after Giannis or they’re going to go after Kevin Durant. And if they go after one or either of them, if they land one of them first, they’ll probably stop going after the other. And they ended up landing Kevin Durant. And you thought at that time, okay, Giannis isn’t necessarily off the table, but I would say it’s very unlikely. However, now that kind of changes things because the Greek Freak is a very good athlete and would be a perfect rendition to this Houston Rocket squad. At 30.6 points per game, averaging 30 minutes per game and 10 rebounds, averaging a double double. His field goal percentage is one of the best in the league. He is a generational athlete and continues to be a a star in the NBA. And now he wants to be in a winning situation. He does. And there have been obviously reports running wild of well where will Yiannis land? What is the situation that works best for him if he is in fact this frustrated with the organization and looking to be moved? Well, that’s where articles like this started to come up where it was the headline saying Giannis Antmpo landing spots four trade destinations for the Buck superstar amid his latest trade rumors. And of course, one listed in this was the Houston Rockets as they were listed as the number three best option for Giannis Antmpo. Here is what some of the reports said. Brandon Austin of PFSN saying, quote, “The Rockets are currently 13 and5 this season, good for third in the Western Conference. They also have the second best net rating in the NBA according to basketball reference. This is by no means a suggestion for them to blow things up. However, inserting Antmpo in the fold could take this squad to another level and I have to agree for a multitude of different reasons. Ultimately, you add him to this team and we could be talking a lot more about how this team is very competitive with the likes of Oklahoma City and in that same breath taking over that second place spot from Denver. But is it going to happen? What would it cost? And is it actually worth it for Rafael Stone and for the Houston Rockets? Because obviously Giannis is great. We know that the cost is what is somewhat concerning. Brennan Austin of PFSN continuing on saying quote Houston also has plenty of draft capital and young talent. So they might be able to swing a deal without losing core pieces like Aman Thompson and Albrin Shingun. Jabari Smith Jr. Reed Shepard and Tari E are guys who could be appealing to the Bucks. End quote. When I think about this and the option of trading for Giannis, I do like that idea. I I I’m not going to sit here and say that it’s not something that I haven’t been like, “Oh, that’s that’s really intriguing.” But it needs to be for the right price. And I’ve said this all along, especially with the Rockets being 13 and4. And yeah, they lost a tough game to the Jazz, but they’re still, in my opinion, one of, if not the top three best teams in the NBA, but they haven’t had Tari E. They haven’t had Dorian Finny Smith. So, if they can swing a trade where it’s Tari Een some draft capital and maybe adding in a second player to that, I would be hesitant to offer Reed Shepard or Jabari just because Reed’s been playing great, is on his way to an extension. Jabari just got an extension this off season. That’s where I take a step back and say, I don’t exactly know if I agree with the entire take on that side of things. That to be said, Giannis is Giannis and he’s going to cost a price. And there is going to be somewhat of a tough draw for the Milwaukee Bucks when they realize that he doesn’t want to play here. When they realize that he is unhappy, and yes, they’re going to still try and get a pretty good pretty good price tag for him. But if teams come a call-in, an offering, and the Rockets can submit a deal with Tari East and a guy who is ranked in a very high level in the amongst NBA executives, that’s a very good thing, especially with him looking to be this restricted free agent next season that could easily offer him a deal that would match anybody else slash maybe exceed anybody else. It might be a good situation. But the point that I’m trying to get to is if Giannis is truly requesting trades for Milwaukee or whatever happens this season into next off seasonason, watch out for the Houston Rockets cuz it’s not just this season, it’s next season. If the Rockets can’t get it done this year, if the Thunder or the Nuggets are too much, then next season they might let go of Tari E as a restricted free agent. They might figure out a signing trade with him as well. And ultimately, Giannis could easily be on his way to Houston and you pair him with Kevin Durant. It’s a deadly combination. And the NBA would not be ready for it. They would not. And I truly do believe you could put OKC against us. You could put Denver against us. Wouldn’t matter. We would be the best team in the National Basketball Association. But again, we’ll have to see what happens and how this debacle shakes out with Giannis. We’ll keep you updated though through the entire process. So, make sure you’re sticking around, watching every video, and hitting that subscribe button as we’ll have updates to you every single day. 1. Idk about that I think a long run Jabari reed and tari brings something plus the chemistry that’s going on idk if I’ll do that move. Giannis is dominant don’t get me wrong him kd and sengun amen would be crazy and even with vanvleet back but idk think they might need more you giving up a lot

  2. Giannis is top 5 player in the NBA Currently. Rockets should explore this trade and what we have to give up is going to be the deal breaker. In my opinion, we have to put Jabari, Tari, Fred, 2 Phoenix picks, and couple of future Rockets's picks to be even in the conversation with Bucks . I wouldn't give up KD, Alpi, Thompson, and Reed. I understand it would take one of Tari or Reed , Jabari , Fred, and throw ins for Salary fillers along with about 5 First Rd Picks
