I hate the Stars and Wild as much as anyone, but it is cool to see this type of competition and rivalry, makes the game that much better.
It’s unfortunate the NHL doesn’t know how to format the playoffs.
Hence why we need to keep up our pace. We have to get through them in the playoffs regardless, but would much prefer 2nd round than 1st.
Any other season Dallas would be getting all the press, they are playing incredibly well. Just so happen to be stuck behind a historic pace (like last year with Winnipeg).
If the standings look like this at the end of the year, hopefully the nhl sees how dumb the playoff format is. The overall #2 seed and overall #3 seed out of 16 would play each other in the first round? 😭

The top 1 teams are all from Colorado
I am hoping that Dallas falls off and is WC1, and we’re #1 in the conference, so they play the other division. If they beat them out, then we play in the conference finals, if they lose then we won’t be dealing with them.
And only one of them can make it to the Conference Final
We need to go back to 1-8
And only one has that sweet sweet 1 regulation loss.
Yep and the playoffs will be juggernaut vs juggernaut.
I want to see them go back to 1v8 and 2v7 etc.
I would love it if the mild and stars could destroy each other in the 1st round while we get the most thorough revenge on the kraken thx
I have seen commenters from other fanbases accuse the Avs of only being dominant on paper. I don’t think they have really watched them play. If they did, they would soon realize that it isn’t just the top line that is dominating. It is all up and down. Depth and how they are playing defensively doesn’t show up on paper quite the same.

I was there for the season we don’t talk about, to see the Avs two wins away from passing that point total again is just so insane. I know it was a long time ago now but it still just makes me feel so good that we are such a good team after how horrible that time was
