What do you think? I say anyone and everything on the table except for Dray, Steph, and Jimmy.

  1. goddamn y’all gotta stop falling for this shit 😭 it’s literally every year

  2. The guy the Warriors have always wanted is finally available. We’re 100% going to try. Everyone not named Stephen Curry should be available

  3. Do whatever it takes. Cap circumvention deal with Giannis. Who fuckin cares because nba doesn’t.

  4. Jimmy and podz plus picks will match contract wise. Then we can trade Kuminga + Hield and whatever other picks for more pieces. MAXIMIZE STEPHS WINDOW!

  5. If we traded everyone except Steph and every pick and swap we have available multiple teams still outbid us. MDJ’s gotta do his due diligence but this isn’t happening.

  6. A top 3 player is on the trade block there is no reason why Draymond should not be available for salary purposes at the minimum.

    Teams traded heaven and earth for Bane and Mikal, Giannis is tiers above them. If this is what Lacob has been looking for this is his best chance to use those first round picks

  7. Just to entertain this briefly: the cap situation pretty much dictates 1 of Jimmy or Dray have to go to get Giannis.

    The guys outside them 2 and Steph earn about 68 mil. Giannis earns 54 mil. So you do the math on whether you can build a 10-player support cast around those 4 with 14 mil to spend.

  8. Shorter list for me….Dray and Steph, everyone else who needs to go to make this happen can go. Jimmy’s exit is going to be drama-filled someday soon, anyway, might as well get a generational superstar out of the deal.

  9. What fantasy world are you all living in?

    The Dubs have no chance of landing Giannis, and this ‘No Steph, Dray, or Jimmy’ nonsense is just that – nonsense. Our roster is trash and trading the farm to get him leaves him in exactly the same situation as he’s in now.

  10. I am pretty sure Moses Moody isn’t enough, but for Giannis I think we will have to sadly add Podziemski and then it’s a fair trade

  11. Whatever it takes although other teams have way more draft picks… And then Giannis would demand a trade after Steph retires. Lol

  12. Whatever it takes. Even if you have to create a fictitious job at a tree planting company.

  13. The ONLY thing interesting about our assets, is all the picks after Steph retires. Some of the most appealing picks in the league

    Still not gonna happen though

  14. Do you think this is like 2k where you can sit there for 7 hours, sign random 50 overall free agents, flip 3 of them for a second, flip 3 seconds for a role player, flip a role player and 3 seconds for a first, repeat 10 times, and just sign whoever we want while pressing “cancel trade” any time another team makes an offer?

  15. lol. What? Who the hell would we offer? How would we afford him when we are keeping the guys who take up the majority of our salary? Move Draymond and Butler in a heartbeat if possible for Giannis. A guy who is a borderline top 20 player of all time.

  16. We probably need to give up at least one of Draymond/Jimmy(and frankly at this point I’d be fine with Draymond)

  17. There are so many teams that will blow a Warriors offer out the window.

    You also say anyone except for Dray-Steph-Jimmy how would that deal even work salary wise?

    But it’s not happening. Giannis doesn’t have a NTC and Warriors can at best offer late firsts, Moody, JK and Podz which is not exciting at all for a rebuilder.

  18. We will try, but there is a long list of teams who have more enticing packages than we do. We need Giannis to say “I wanna play with Steph” or we remain huge longshots to get him.

    Knicks or OKC blow our potential package out of the water.

  19. Jimmy and Draymond aren’t interesting to a team that is resetting. So without a third team for one of those guys, trading for Giannis is basically impossible.

    The Warriors are hard-capped. That means there’s not only is there no wiggle-room on salary (we have to send out as much as we take back) but we need to make sure we have room to have 12 players, which is required.

    The trade machine won’t let me do Kuminga trades yet, but just matching salary, we need $54.126m coming back. There’s no “you can take back 20% more than you send out” for the Warriors. Dollar for dollar, what comes in must go out.

    JK+Podz+Moody+Hield+TJD = $48.2m. Throw in Al and you’ve got 53.9 … *still not enough.*

    Add in Gui and you’ve got enough, but now you’re down to eight players and you need to have enough salary cap room to add four rookies for the minimum – so, you know, another couple of million dollars. I guess you could find a taker for GP2, replace him with two half-season rookies.

    So the team has to find a taker for Jimmy or Dray. But what teams want those guys? Jimmy’s contract is huge. Dray’s contract is more reasonable but he’s only interesting to a contender and which contenders would actually be interested here?

  20. Jimmy has been good for the warriors but if Giannis is available, then damn!!! Trade jimmy. Trading him is the only way to match the salaries. The warriors should do everything possible to get him. Jimmy + JK + Podz + Hield + TJD + Multiple FRPs + Multiple Second Round picks, just give ’em all. By getting him, warriors ensure both their present and the future, allowing steph to win one or two titles and keeping the championship window alive for the next few years as well. Warriors will bring that 1st/2nd scorer that jimmy has not been able to become, plus steph’s game matches Antetokounmpo’s game perfectly. One is a killer from 3 and the other is a dominant force in paint. Giannis also gives that rim protection and defense. Can you just imagine having two DPOY candidates in Dray and Giannis on the floor at the same time, that will be a nightmare for opponents. The warriors will also get the much needed size in the frontcourt. So the front office shouldn’t make any excuses like saying no to adding podz or saving a FRP. Just go all in!!! The owners will also make a ton of money by Steph and Giannis playing together. So its a win for players, fans, the owners and the NBA🫡

    PS: 1. As for depleting our bench it won’t affect us at all. Seth takes up buddy’s minutes, Melton takes up podz minutes, JK can be compensated by Richards + Pat (According to the form they are in at the moment & well, we aren’t getting a lot from JK and TJD these days). And if the front office is worried a lot about the guard position, try to work up a trade to snag & get back ryan rollins. He’ll be an upgrade too😁

  21. The good news is Curry is his absolutely favorite player and he’s said as much multiple times and his wife is from California. So 2 potential positives for the Dubs. Offer up everyone besides Curry and every draft pick we have. If we have the Greek Freak and Curry on the same squad that’s at least 1 more ring for Curry and the Freak.

  22. Ok… here we go! But let’s look at it for a moment the way that MDJ and the front office will have to, because you know they woke up this morning and this is suddenly front and center on everyone’s desk at GSW headquarters!

    ;TLDR

    Probable, no.

    Possible, yes.

    1. JK, Moody, Podz, Al, Buddy, TJD and 2 or 3 first rounders

    Or

    2. Just Jimmy and 3 firsts.

    Scenario 1 could get it done because Giannis loves Steph, respects Dray, has family ties in California and economic opportunities in the Bay and let’s face it… he wants to Win and Have fun!

    Building the next Dub Nation era upon the shoulders of Giannis is as good a way to run back the next decade as any!

    LETS GO DUBS 🙌💙💛🙏

    Longer take:

    So, long shot…yes.

    Possible… perhaps.

    Why?

    1. Giannis has family in the area.

    2. His endorsement opportunities are greatly improved and he is smart about his money. Big family and all of that!

    3. He loves Steph. Heck he even likes and respects Dray. And Jimmy and Giannis would make an awkward but quasi hilarious odd couple with all the crazy language and cultural Idiosyncrasies.

    4. Giannis wants a few more chips. There’s not only room and shots this year, but even more salary available next year, and that means more players wanting to show up on the GSW Steph and Giannis bandwagon. Because let’s face it, playing on that team would be the most fun almost any nba player has or will even have on the hard wood.

    5. Giannis would be an excellent candidate to build the next era of Dub Nation upon. He just stated last week that he wants to play 10 more years and challenge for the all time scoring title (pipe dream I know, as he would need something like 50+ a night for 12 or 13 years but a man can dream, right lol) and any team with Giannis is going to have a real shot every year.

    6. GSW is the best organization in the NBA, hands down. Best people, best location, best camaraderie, best everything and Giannis has been playing in the cold and mid of Milwaukee for long enough.

    So… How?

    1. Straight Jimmy for Giannis plus 2 or 3 first rounders.

    Or

    2. JK, Moody, Podz, Buddy, TJD, and Horford would be enough salary going out plus 2 or 3 first rounders.

    Either scenario would likely be what MJD and the crew are looking at this morning.

    And

    We keep Melton and Richard and Seth and Pat and of course Steph for guards and even have the two way options open as well.

    And we if we go the keep Jimmy mode, we can start:

    Steph
    Jimmy
    Dray
    Giannis
    Melton

    That is one DEVASTATING lineup that will scare ANY team, even the Thunder.

    And Have a second unit led by:

    Pat
    Seth
    GP2 (or Gui)
    Will
    Quintin

    And all of those players are showing out right now and mean business for real!

  23. Here’s what I would hope for:

    Warriros get: Giannis, Portis

    Bucks get: Jimmy, Podz, Buddy, TJD and all the picks.

    I’d try to see if I could hang on to the 2026 1RP since the draft is absolutely loaded.

    Starters

    * Steph
    * Melton
    * Moody
    * Giannis
    * Post

    Second unit

    * Richard
    * GPII
    * JK
    * Portis
    * Draymond

  24. Absolutely, whatever it takes outside of Steph to get this done. This would secure Steph’s absolute best chance at a ring and set us up for our franchise player to take over once he retires. We’ve waited for this and the front office must do whatever it takes to acquire him. They owe it to Steph to at least try and push the chips in the middle.

  25. I’m quite worried that he has more interest in the Knicks than us though if he can dictate where he goes. He was linked to them extensively but Giannis, if you somehow see this, you can’t pass up an opportunity like this to play with Steph who’s a once in a generation type player like you are. The amount of gravity Giannis and Steph can generate against the defense will feed families.
