[Windhorst] The Milwaukee Bucks are NOT expected to open up a Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes to the entire league. Antetokounmpo will get to pick a team and Milwaukee will try their best to get a trade done with his preferred team.

  4. He hates the Heat for beating him in the playoffs lol. I never get why some of these superstars don’t want to play for a good coach like come on Spo with Giannis would be pretty sick

  7. Here’s what we have going for us from Giannis’s perspective:
    – We’re in the East
    – Could send out a package for him and still have pieces to contend
    – Spo is having a great season and playing a fun system players love
    – Bam and him share agents and have a great relationship with Pat and Co.

  9. Honestly the trade that makes sense for both sides is Bam for Giannis, Bucs don’t have their picks so they probably still want a chance to compete and bam is not a bad consolation prize for a superstar wanting out and obviously it make sense for Miami

  17. If you’re Giannis, you have to choose to stay in the Eastern Conference. So your choices are:
    1. NYK – tried this summer and couldnt make a deal

    2. DET – they have young players and picks. do you want to be in that city?

    3. MIA – would be able to surround him with pieces that fit very well (Davion, Norm, Wiggs, Bam), great offense, great coach

    4. TOR – International city but they’d have to trade Barnes to get you. Can you win a title with that supportint cast fit

    5. ATL – Either JJ or Trae would have to go in that deal – can you win with whoevers left?

  29. If this is true, he’s going to a perceived contender at a discount, or a 3 team trade to get more picks and “offload” pricey vets to a 3rd team and their picks.

    For Miami to get him, *personally* I’d want to center the package around Herro & Ware.

    I’d love for Jovic to go too, for added value (I feel if he gets to a bad team that’ll let him play like he does for Serbia, he’ll be an all-star eventually), but I saw a redditor say that he can’t be traded yet.

    A couple 1sts (upcoming draft plus 2028, nothing too far away).

    I know I don’t want to include Bam & Davion (Powell, JJJ, & KJ if we can too, but in order from most valuable to least).

    And anyone else that adds value.

    But that might not be enough.
