How willing would you be to give up Reaves and co. for Giannis? Would it be a bad move in the long run? Should they go all in to secure a Luka and Giannis tandem? Interested to hear other fans’ opinions.

  4. The only way this could happen is in the off season, where we have more cap space and more picks. It would need to be a 3 team trade, as the bucks don’t want giannis. The team that reaves goes to will have to be confident reaves will stay long term, and no, it won’t be a bad trade. Reaves might average 33 points on a bad team as a first option, but Giannis is in a different stratosphere.

  7. 100% I love AR but Giannis is a top 3 at worst top 5 player in this league. Luka and Giannis together with competent role players is an instant championship contender.

  10. Depending on the package, you’d still have the problem you have now, where it’s two ball dominant players at the top and a bunch of guys that are hit or miss on a night to night basis. 

    If we ship AR I’d rather get a whole squad of dudes like an okc starter and 3 bench guys.

  11. I love Reaves, but Giannis is a top 5 player. At least Reaves would have an opportunity to ball out as the main guy.

  15. I just get a feeling the Lakers are gonna be involved in whatever trade the bucks setup to trade out Giannis and we will be compensated with some decent starter level 2-way player. And the cost will be Dalton, Gabe and a 1st…

  16. I probably do it, but it’s not as cut and dry as some are making it out to be. Giannis is heavily reliant on his athleticism. He’s on the wrong side of 30 which means he’s got 2, maybe 3 years left. I do it, but you’re probably not much closer to a title with Giannis instead of Reaves as we still have wonky role players surrounding them.

  18. I’ll fly to ur country, avoid ICE and pick up Austin from his house and take him to the airport to fly to Milwaukee and pick up giannis from the airport and drive him to the lakers facility.

  19. We dont need giannis as it stands luka and AR the players we need to build around that is we need 2 wings defensive role players

  20. Don’t forget they could then follow it up with a trade for Joker, if we’re getting incredibly unrealistic

  22. I have a different angle. We can be that THIRD team in a hypothetical 3 team deal and we get one or two athletic two way wings…for our draft picks and (Gabe, Maxi, Vando, Knecht…maybe Rui)

    I think we have something special between Luka and AR…and they are the key to us winning the next chip

  23. Giannis and Luka would not work well together, that team would be a disaster. We saw what happens when Giannis tries to play with another ball dominant guard, it just doesn’t work.

  24. We trade for Giannis… and then what?

    The roster will have negative depth. It’d be Championship-or-bust immediately.

    But yes of course. AR 15 is elite and an amazing 2nd option but Giannis is a different level of elite
