I can finally breath again
5 players 16+ points. Love the spread. Everyone is a threat.
Deni with 27/8/7 tonight. What gets me is that he is still SO impactful even when the shot isn’t falling for him. Allstar shit. Every night.
Also these ft attempts are about to make him a villain league wide lmao

Biggest takeaway from this game is that the vibes in Cleveland are crazy bad. Maybe we’ll be able to interview Atkinson this summer.
Toumani last three games 14/25 from 3. Almost back up to his % from last year overall, but obv this stretch is sustainable and he has broken basketball, sorry.
Takeaways:
* What a game on the second of a back to back. Hope Clingan is alright – the fact that he’s been having a nagging left ankle injury and limping around for 2 weeks after having a bad left ankle injury last year makes me nervous and he clearly wasn’t moving around well today.
* Feels like Toumani is back to his old self on defense – he really bothered Garland all night long. Also hitting shots helps a lot too.
* We got the monthly game where Caleb Love makes his shots and looks like an NBA player. Snark aside props to him. HE also played well enough on defense to stay in front of whoever he was guarding for the most part when the Cavs tried to hunt him on that end.
* I thought they did a solid job getting settled and playing against the Cavs zone after a very ugly first few possessions. They did a much better job of flashing to the middle and cutting and the Cavs eventually had to go back to man-to-man defense. They also closed the game when the Cavs started making shots in the fourth quarter and responded just enough to keep the game out of reach which was good. I was definitely getting nervous ngl.
* Deni is…lets’s just say really good at drawing FTs. I would be kinda mad if i was a fan of an opposing team ngl. That being said it’s pretty awesome that he can manufacture points like that which is really keeping us in games, and that 27/8/7 feels like pretty normal game for him (on 5 made FGs lol).
* Yang had a few really encouraging looking possessions on defense.
* Sidy looked pretty solid. Hit a three, had two euro step dunks (including one going right at Mobley) etc.
* I’m sure it’s happened before but I don’t think I ever remember a game where JG had 6 assists lol. Jokes aside the way he’s bought into his new role and new shot diet this season has been really admirable and he’s been everything we need from him (and very little “bad JG” from last year) even if he wasn’t making shots tonight.

Crazy that we won a game when we made a good portion of our threes and actually looked like the old Blazers from the FT line.
I was working so couldnāt watch the game but kept my eye on the score since tip. Wrapped up by the start of the 4th and was too superstitious to tune in š Canāt wait to watch tonight!

If we donāt think Hansen is ready for NBA minutes, we should keep him in the G-League to get consistent reps. But if we need help against zone defenses before our point guards return, we could give him a few minutes. Heās played almost exclusively in zone systems his entire career prior to joining us.

Great game, Deni went SGA mode, Tou hits consistent 3s, Caleb Love did not went 0-10 from 3s. and we won.

Is Yang really that unplayable that he can’t even get minutes after 18 points lead? If that’s the case, why not just leave him in the g-league?

people can say whatever the fuck they want about the way Deni plays – aside from the 3pt foul that he got in the first half literally any other foul call was legit. players just can’t defend him.

Good to see Toumani breaking out of his funk.
This no point guard lineup is developing Avdijaās skills, gonna be so much easier for him with a real PG back.Ā
Great win with half our team injured against a good team.
Deni is so solid. Sharpe was one rebound away from a 20 pt double double, 5 assists and 2 steals. Love to see him fill up the stat sheet besides points.
Am I crazy or did this feel like Yang’s best 5 minute rotation? Some good contests by the rim on D without fouling and a screen assist or two.
I always forget that Sidy is only 21.
Personally I feel Yang is worth 8-10 minites tonight. He is ok in this game.
