This is the dumbest take I’ve seen in awhile.
There’s no way he moves to the rotation. He’s the best bet we have as a closer. So who would even replace him there? Festa? The fan base would implode lol. Gaddis? Except he went from a god to a regular inning eater? Herrin with his random control losses? I mean I’ll give them credit that it’s an out of the box idea. But like… just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
So he had a 5.4 war as a reliever and making him an SP would somehow increase his value?

We have a nice stable of starters.
0% chance this happens. Hes infinitely more valuable as a closer. If anything they should be bolstering the bullpen with an additional closer so hes not throwing 25 pitch outings 3x a week.
I’d legitimately take Naquin in the rotation over making our best reliever into a starter.

If anylne converts to starter its gaddis considering he used to br a starter. Albeit he struggled there he could be successful if converted back as he isnt so “stuff” focused and has a strong pitch mix.
