Sabres vs. Flyers | NHL Highlights | December 03, 2025
G’vor connecti starting live for the Flyers.
Thompson with Benson and Morris. We are underway in Philadelphia. The last eight teams they have
over eight goals uh on the man advantage. So they got forced against Pittsburgh the other night.
Gave up three. Let’s see if we can find that here tonight. Here’s to the stick of Dar sends
it down low. Jones out in front. Score. Bang bang pass play and the finish by Jason Sucker who
gives the Sabres a one- nothing lead on the power play. Sure that the passing options are picked
up and in this case D does a good job of using the net and Dale really doesn’t confront him. He
kind of drifts off to the left and that’s what opens up the lane to Zooker. Zamula not able
to get back in time and Zooker puts it away. 5 minutes in first period. One- nothing lead
for the Sabres. Lee pass for Dome in with a shot saved by Eson. But the way Dome breaks, he
breaks right there. He’s top speed. He timed it perfectly on the inside. Now Tipp go knocked
out at the line by Shan. Here’s Mechco for Philadelphia. Now Kenki 20 seconds remaining
on the power play. Connect shoots and scores. front, but it’s a good job by the Flyers to to
get the screen in front. It’s Tippet that’s in front providing the screen. Connect gets it
to the net as the screen arrives. Let’s see if there’s contact. You can see Ellis
right there pleading his case. Well, that’s big Matias Samuelson as well in front
of his own goalender. And that’s the value of having Kippet there. And you can see the
Ellis reaction. No question he’s crowded. Hold in. He has the Flyers goal. Now San back
out from Tippet for Connect number 17. back out. Scoring deflects in. Second power play goal
for the Flyers. They get a 42 and it’s pounced. Confidence here for the Flyers as they’re out
there with possession. They’ve got lots of room to work. Sanheim’s a player that’s all over
that zone. But now Secrets of the heads up. He’s trying to go down to Connectney. You can see
it right there. And that gets deflected once. And I’m not sure if it’s deflected twice or not, but
it’s enough to fool Ellis. Oh, what a time by the Killers. It was people in lanes and they just get
an unfortunate break there. And couple of quick goals for the Flyers. Let’s see how the savings
respond to the quick goals that they they’ve had to endure. Another opportunity. Score. It is now
3-1. Bobby Break with his seventh of the season. that when you get back there that you you
do things cleanly and the Sabres a bad exit trying to go cross ice with this play. Benson
is he hits Thompson in the back. I think the intended recipient was Norris to the far side
and then the Flyers able to pounce quickly as Kates gets it to the net and Brink able to find
the rebound. No chance for Ellis on that one after a tough exit for the Savers. Tough break
here in the last several shifts for the Savers. Remember he had a power penalty and then started
taking penalty as Dali walks in and stopped by. Here’s Dali works the puck to his right and
then Tuck with the pass for save by this is a good example. Austin a terrific pass.
It’s a spring Alex Tuck who then gives it to Josh Stone. You go from your own zone to
an offensive chance knocked out to the right side now. Andre straight away. Here’s Pale
into the slot and a save by Ellis on a box. Sabres headed to their third power play. Yeah,
watch Josh Norris’s skate stick here. Can’t opener on Oles. Oles get taken down and then he
swings around and takes Benson down. And to me, both are penalties. I know Ales is start with
the with the trip, but to me Norris could have gotten a trip as well. The Sabres got away
with unable to get it through as Quinn. Yeah, a couple missed shots here for the Buffalo Sabres
on the power play. Here’s Kknney Sanheim to the net and the save by Ellis. Big glove stop
made by Ellis on Travis Sanheim. Here’s Priceale Frank in front off the post from
Kate and it’s covered up by Ellis by them on the power play. They’ve got a lot of
time and space. They’re creating twoon ones and then you can see what they’re
doing. The attitude to get to the blue paint. Good job by the goalender Ellis and
the Savers there to box out. But you can see the mentality here of Rick Tawkins team. And
it’s get to the middle of the ice. Something he wants more of from these guys. Flyers control.
Penalty time winding down. Here’s Couturier. Penalty expires. Krebs out of the box. Break
towards the net. Score on the redirect. The Flyers extend to a 41 lead just after the power
play expired on the play prior from Bobby Brink. Benson gets tripped up by Couturier. No
call there and the Flyers with time and space able to retrieve it and Kate’s able to get
positioning in front of the net as he presents his stick and Brink who fed him earlier finds
him there. Pass from Kate. Quake dropping it back off. And then the nice defensive play made
by Dol Chambers with numbers saved by and then it’s a a twoon one. The initial shot save the
rebound. Yeah, I think gets there with the puck for the savers cross ice. Thompson couldn’t tee it
up. Looked like it might have rolled on him there. There’s a lost his stick and able to make the stop
on Norris. Comfortable lead like this, you forget about some saves that goenders make. You just kind
of like take it for granted. But here turn Buffalo now one for four on the power play. Here’s Byron
across the line for Mloud. Plus ice pass broke it up and then a shot missed the net. Facing over
to keep it alive as Owen Power into the slot. Quinn had a shot blocked and then Byum scores.
Bowen Byum cuts the Flyers lead to 4-2. Well, you can sense it coming for the Sabres. I mean,
they’ve had several opportunities in this period prior to the power play. That’s what you want
from your power play. They don’t score giving you momentum and then the next shift, get out
there and find a way to start winning pucks. Power does that. Yeah. They get a fortuitous
bounce, but they they earn that bounce, Jody, with the way that they’ve played in the last six
or seven minutes. Absolutely. and and Byum there up on the play. Defenseman reading that perfectly
on the quiet side. You got to grow into Yeah, you stick with your baseline, right? Your for check,
what you do with the puck and decisions in certain areas, the offensive zone blue line that to allow
the for check. Here’s Tippet stopped by score. Oh, and Tippet makes it 52 Philadelphia. Well, Rick had mentioned we need
veteran players to get us going. pressure to keep the puck alive. Here you see
Timmans under pressure. Coutur applying it. A bad pass. Forces the turnover. And then
from here, the Flyers make a play. Now, does Tippet knock this in? Okay, it’s a stick.
I I was wondering if it may be his glove, but it looks like he bats it out of
midair. This should be a good goal. Oh yeah, that’s good. Good hand eye there
for Tiff France St. on a skate and allowed the Steam to get a good opportunity.
But picked off by Ziggress. Here comes Connecti for Ziggress. Comes in, shoots
out a stop by Ellis reduced to a minor or rescended after Hill. Now it’s Andre from
Philadelphia. Slides it across. Riceale for Kate. Moves in front. Backhand
shot by Ellis. Puck is loose. And now the Shavers come out with it.
It’s Mloud with the long pass. Moving in is Zooker and he draws a penalty in
there and then Zooker just good speed as he takes his puck and gets inside and
decides to wait to get the shot away. Shots 24-21 Flyers. They have a
5-2 lead now pass broken up alive by the Flyers and a save by Ellis on
the bench for not burying that one. Well, Sean Couturier just came by and said,
“Hey, I got to give the big boys the puck.” 10 and a half remaining. Here’s
Kates moving in on Ellis. Case to the net. Stopped by Ellis. Stopped
this time on the breakaway by Ellis. Fire with it once again for Buffalo. His pass
picked off for Turier. Now Tippet Tippet to the net. Backhand shot and then a second. Both
stopped by Ellis tonight. Mecha. There’s a play in transition up the ice. You see Tippet when
he makes up his mind with that big frame to get to the net, he just cuts in and they will head
to Winnipeg tomorrow as the Bull wraps the puck around. Held in at the point by Power and then
a back hand shot by Thompson. They score. energy with him. A little too passive at times and they
tend to get like this when they play with leads. A turnover here by Zamula. He just rims the puck to
nobody and the Sabres able to get it quickly down towards the net. Good play by Thompson and Benson
able to find the loose change and put it past a sprawling and then the Sabres have not been able
to get to this part of the the ice here in this third period. Well, here they come with the Here’s
a better look at it. See if you see any white. No, I think it’s offside. After coach’s challenge
video review, the previous play was determined to be offside. We have no goal. Please ref
the clock. And now it’s played by Tippet for Me Beach. Pulls the spring and shoots. Saved
by Ellis. Beach with it once again. Oh, Ellis able to make the stop. Litco Sanheim connecting
hats and breaks. Flyers defeat the Sabres 5 to2.

1975 NHL Stanley Cup Final rematch
Fun fact: The Penguins are the only team in the NHL to have two owners play for them. Mario Lemieux owned the team in the early 2000s while playing for them. And Sidney Crosby owns the Flyers.
Need TK to shoot more…
Shame for buffalo.. Ellis has bit lazy reaction and defence was awful.. even make 2 goals cant win game like this. Heads up buffalo
Most excited I’ve been to watch the Flyers play in awhile….
Sabres are actually a good team they are so inconsistent tho
Flyers have risen to be the best professional sports team in philly.
