NHL Highlights | Sabres vs. Flyers – December 3, 2025
Gora Connecti starting live for the Flyers. Thompson with Benson and Norris. We are underway in Philadelphia. In the last eight games, they have given up eight goals uh on the man advantage. So they got forced against Pittsburgh the other night. Gave up three. Let’s see if they can find a way to rectify that here tonight. Here’s Ali to the stick of Morris sends it down low. Zone out in front. Score. Bang. bank pass play and the finish by Jason Suker who gives the Sabres a one- nothing lead on the power play. Sure that the passing options are picked up and in this case Done does a good job of using the net and Dale really doesn’t confront him. He kind of drifts off to the left and that’s what opens up the lane to Zucker. Zamula not able to get back in time and Zooker puts it away. 5 minutes in first period. One- nothing lead for the savers. Lead pass for dome in with a shot saved by Esen. Now Tippen sends one on go. Knocked out at the line by Sanheim. Here’s Beach for Philadelphia. Now Kenki. 20 seconds remaining on the power play. Connect shoots and scores. [Music] [Applause] [Music] front, but it’s a good job by the Flyers to to get the screen in front. It’s Tippet that’s in front providing the screen. Connecting gets it to the net as the screen arrives. Let’s see if there’s contact. You can see Ellis right there pleading his case. Well, that’s big Matias Samuelson as well in front of his own goalender. And that’s the value of having Tippet there. And you can see the Ellis reaction. No question he’s crowded. [Music] Holds in. He has the Flyers goal now. San back out from Tippet for Connect. Buffalo number 17. Connect back out. San deflection. [Applause] Second power play goal for the Flyers. They get a 4-2 and it’s bounce and they’ll lead the Sabres two to one here for the Flyers as they’re out there with possession. They’ve got lots of room to work. Sanheim’s a player that’s all over that zone. But now Ziggress in the heads up. He’s trying to go down to Connectney. You can see it right there. And that gets deflected once. And I’m not sure if it’s deflected twice or not, but it’s enough to fool Ellis by the Killers. It was with people in lanes and they just get an unfortunate break there. And couple of quick goals for the Flyers. Let’s see how the savings respond to the quick goals that they they’ve had to endure. Another opportunity. Score. It is now 3-1. Bobby break with his seventh of the season. When you get back here that you you do things cleanly and the Sabres a bad exit trying to go cross ice with this play. Benson is he hits Thompson in the back. I think the intended recipient was Norris to the far side and then the Flyers is able to pounce quickly as Kates gets it to the net and Brink able to find the rebound. No chance for Ellis on that one after a tough exit for the Sabres. Tough break here in the last several shifts for the Sav [Music] and then start to take penalty as Dalian walks in and stop by. Puck now chased down by Valenstein. Hit by and Zula came away with the puck. Sent alone by Hway took a hard hit from Fred in front of the Buffalo bench. Here’s Ali. Works the puck to his right and then Tuck with the pass for Dome. Saved by Es back out to the right side. Now Andre straight away. Here’s Dale into the slot and a save by Ellis unable to get it through as Quinn. Yeah, couple missed shots here for the Buffalo Savers on the power play. Here’s Kknney Sanheim to the net and the save by Ellis. Better for the fans to do and I I I still I know the first period didn’t go their way and they got a penalty kill here to start the second period, but I feel like the Savers team is a team that if they get all healthy I think they can they can be a playoff team. Here’s Frydale. Frank in front off the post from Kate and it’s covered up by Ellis. Flyers control. Penalty time winding down. Here’s Confurier. Penalty expired. Krebs out of the box. Break towards the net. Score on the redirect. The Flyers extend to a 41 lead just after the power play expired on the play prior from Bobby Brink. Benson gets tripped up by Couturier. No call there and the Flyers with time and space able to retrieve it and Kate’s able to get positioning in front of the net as he presents his stick and Brink who fed him earlier finds him there. Pass from Kate. Quick dropping it back off. And then the nice defensive play made by Dol Sabres with numbers. Saved by and then there’s Samuelson with the puck for the Sabres. Cross eyes couldn’t te it up. Looked like it might have rolled on him there. There’s a lost stick and able to make the stop on Norris. Here’s Byron across the line for Mloud. Cross eyes pass broke it up and then a shot missed the net. Facing over to keep it alive is Owen Power into the slot. Quinn had a shot blocked and then Byum scores. Bowen Byum cuts the Flyers lead to 4-2. Well, you can sense it coming for the Sabres. I mean, they’ve had several opportunities in this period prior to the power play. That’s what you want from your power play. They don’t score, give you momentum, and then the next shift, get out there and find a way to start winning pucks. And Power does that. Yeah, they get a fortuitous bounce, but they they earned that bounce, Jody, with the way that they’ve played in the last six or seven minutes. Absolutely. And Byum there up on the play. Defenseman reading that perfectly on the quiet side. You got to grow into Yeah. You stick with your baseline, right? Your for check, what you do with the puck and decisions in certain areas, the offensive zone, don’t blue line to allow the four check. Here’s Tippet. Stopped by Ellis. Score. [Music] Oh, and Tippet makes it 52 Philadelphia. Well, Rick Tet mentioned we need veteran players to get us going to keep the puck alive. Here you see Timmans under pressure. Couturier applying it. A bad pass forces the turnover. And then from here, the Flyers make a play. Now, does Tippet not in? Okay, it’s his stick. I I was wondering if maybe his glove, but it looks like he bats it out of midair. This should be a good goal. [Music] Oh yeah, that’s good. Good hand eye there for Tiff France St. Lauron skate and allowed the Steelers to get a good opportunity. But picked off by Ziggress. Here comes Connecti for Ziggress. Moves in, shoots out a stop by Ellis. Now it’s Andre from Philadelphia. Slides it across. Riceale risale for Kate. Moves in front. Backhand shot by Ellis. Puck is loose. took the pick for Rasmus Dalene. He was assessed a five-minute boarding major and a game misconduct. Quinn serving the penalty for Dalene as Sanheim controls the puck for the Flyers. And now the Sabres come out with it. It’s Mloud with the long pass. Moving in is Rooker and he draws a penalty. Shots 24-21 Flyers. They have a 5-2 lead now. Couturier’s pass broken up. struck alive by the Flyers and a save by Ellis. 10 and a half remaining. Here’s Kates moving in on Ellis. Kates to the net. Stopped by Ellis. Fire with it once again for Buffalo. His pass picked off to Touier. Now Tippet. Tippet to the net. Backhand shot and then a second. Both stopped by Ellis. They will head to Winnipeg tomorrow as the Bulldo wraps the puck around. Held in at the point by Power and then a back hand out by Thompson. They score. Interview with him a little too passive at times and they tend to get like this when they play with leads. A turnover here by Zamula. He just rims the puck to nobody and the Sabres able to get it quickly down towards the net. Good play by Thompson and Benson able to find the loose change and put it past a sprawling Arison. And the the Sabres have not been able to get to this part of the the ice here in this third period. Well, here they come with the Here’s a better look at it. See if you see any white. No, I think it’s offside. After coach’s child’s video review, the previous play was determined to be offside. We have no goal. Please set the clock to 72. Good on boost. Sandheim connecting hats and breaks. Flyers defeat the Sabres 5-2. [Music] Heat. Hey, Heat. [Music]
Travis Sanheim and Matvei Michkov each picked up a pair of assists as the Philadelphia Flyers used five different goal scorers to defeat the Buffalo Sabres 5-2.

1975 NHL Stanley Cup Final rematch
Flyers did so much right this game after getting plastered by Pittsburgh.
Sabres mailed another one in tonight. Poor passing, bad clears and a complete lack of net front defense. We may as well just play with 5 forwards. Poor Ellis had to earn his pay and got hung out to dry a few times. Lindy better get fired up at this team, they looked bad and played worse.
Thomson was asleep on the 3rd goal😮
Flyers need to stop with the stupid penalties.
Biggest goober challenge I've seen since challenging was introduced to the league. What a chain of negative events from then on. A very clear goal that will stand, braindead challenge leads to another gifted PP, pay for it, THEN it leads into a pathetic shift right after the puck drops after the second goal, to give them A THIRD ONE! Holy dumbfuck, Batman. 3 Game win streak? Non-existent in Buffalo.
How the hell is the Flyers's fifth goal not goalie interference. Give me a break. None of those goals tonight. Were on Ellis
The challenge on the Flyers' 1st was horrible. 9 times out of 10 that's not goalie interference.
just let luukkonen be on goal.
2nd time in two weeks that the Flyers have scored 3 goals in less than a minute. That's gotta be a record, right?
