I didn’t know this was even possible…

  1. Our point differential went higher than the rest of the entire west combined after the game last night lol. The Stars game today changed that, but we’re still sitting at +50 for us, +51 for the rest of the West (for those that have a positive PD).

  2. I love that they don’t have to overplay him and rely on him to carry too much of the load. He’s playing his most intelligent hockey, picking his spots and seemingly always in the right spot at the right time. They arguably have the two best players in the world right now.

  3. All of this won’t matter if we don’t come out with lord Stanley. We shan’t waste the golden years… I hope they learned from their mistakes. Nate can’t do it by himself and I feel like there will be 1 more trade that will lock us in. But all good things eventually… on the bright side how about Mack and Landy connecting for sweet goals. It doesn’t really look like a different team since march of last year but it sure looks like it. One day at a time.

  4. Anyone know where these numbers came from? According to NHL stats, he’s outscoring the opposition 45 to 12 when he’s on the ice, which is still crazy good, but just different.

The best related stat I can find on MacK is when he’s on the road and the other head coach gets last change, the Avs are outscoring the opposition 23 to freaking 7 during 5v5. That’s a GF% of over 75% against the NHL’s absolute best defenders

  5. He’s +32 overall, so I’m guessing he was on the ice when the Avs scored 4 ENG during 5-on-6.

  6. It’s crazy how little attention he gets. People slobbering over McDavid when Mack is and always has been a more complete player. As a flames fan, I can only hope that maybe one day we will get something like that
