NHL Highlights | Capitals vs. Sharks – December 3, 2025

es for the third time twice of course last year in Morski’s first year behind the bench. This is the third year that Carver has been the head coach of the Capitals. We are underway. Also scratched just ahead of the game. Here’s a twoon one. Mcichael for Washington to Wilson and a save by Ascarov as the sizzling hot Tom Wilson gets a great a chance on an oddman run. Excellent. Trevor Van Williams night leaves it. Now it’s played by Mcichael to the defenseman. Proous’s shot that was blocked in front. Might have hit Wilson. Not sure if Ascarov got it from saved by Lindred. And here come the Caps. And a break. Anthony Bollier in saved by Ascarov. Back again back to Wenberg. He’ll rim high to this side with awaiting celebrity. Pressure from Nick Cow. Eklin on the back end. Ekkan the drive. The save by Lindren. Couldn’t get that third shot on net, but he’ll get a look here. Trap far side. Oh, Lindren. What a save there off of Barkley. Good row. Cin keeps it in. Ouchin on the ice as Roy coast down the wing. There’s an Ascarov save and another one back to the net. And Ovkin scores on the rebound. 13th goal of the year. Just a big flurry by the net. Just a simple shot to the net. Rebounds there. Sharks have it for a second but can’t clear it. Alexander Oeskin broke Wayne Gretzky’s record of 894 back in April. Here’s Van Reeke for Washington. Chisum with a chance. They score. Milano finishing it off. Two quick ones for Washington. Keep moving puck away from traffic, right? They get the puck back to the point. And you talked about their offensive defenseman. Come in, get the chance on net and they just keep firing away. One, two bodies in front, but then everybody’s worried about the guy in front. Here comes Milano. Smart timing by Milano. You again have there. A really good play by Washington. Let’s have a look. He’s in front. Oh, the left legier. Lapier. Yeah. Oh, he is. There’s definitely contact and it’s definitely contact. After video review, it’s determined that there was no goalender interference. We have a good call on the ice. And Wilson lost it there. Now a race to the puck. Could have been an interference call there, but Graph gets to it anyway. Across and the save made by Lindren. Off to Andrea Brandon Duhane the former Minnesota Wild player. He’s got it back to the point and Remsteight saved by Ascarov. Rebound they score again. Ryan Leonard and it’s three nothing Washington. Rebound opportunity and it is again nice job on the for check. Leonard gets in there first and the guy gets in front. There’s another more contact on Ascarov and then Leonard scoops up the rebound. Gets in, throws a good nice little elbow on Iorio. The shot comes to the point and Leonard after getting to the puck first. First touch on the for check. So important. He works back to the front. Iorio doesn’t recover. There is a little bit of contact again. And then Leonard smart. He holds on for a second. Sharks second power play of the period at the front of the net. A shot there. Ling got that one. He did. That one didn’t hit the post. Will Smith going to be shaking his head back up the ice after that stop by Charlie Lingren. Sh got two post and a great save by Lingren. Now Eklan coast back in. Clingberg slides it across. Mlin with it. Hits for Ekan. They’ll try to peel away from Rasma Sandine. Celibbrini Clingberg waiting on it. And now he’s in trouble. Clingberg and here’s Prous in a lone shorthanded drops it. They score. Brandon Du a short-handed goal. It’s a fourgoal first period for the visitors. Make quicker decisions at the line, but on this one as well. Come back, come back, come back. You got to keep skating on that comeback. You got to keep skating. You can’t stop skating in this situation when you’re that. We saw it last game. Ylav Ascarov is coming out of the game right now on that back check. You’ve got to keep skating. You can’t be gliding. You can’t stop moving your feet. And the first save. This is a really nice play. Look how he checks over his shoulder. Really nice check over the shoulder. Give you an idea of Patrick Marlo who is the all-time leader in games played in the history of the NHL. 1779. Alexander Ovchkin all-time goal scorer now 910. Chikan gives to the rookie. Leonard a shot with glove hand high. See him pull that in a little bit. Did you change the angle of the shot? Wilson for Chikan. Stro’s net front. That one’s knocked down. Leonard bumps it across and they score. It’s Ovetchkin again. Well, certainly not the way you want him to start off the period without a doubt. Really smart by Leonard. Puck’s going to go towards the net and gets blocked. And look at how Leonard just bumps that over. Very smart play by the young man and Alex. Much like Will Smith setting up on that side when Min Cellini’s got the puck and the mask. Leonard up top. Roy shot wide. Back to Roy and now to Chipan. Leonard on the wing across. They score. Matt Roy. A beautiful passing play by Washington. They got a sixth goal. That was a beautiful passing play and you cannot leave that much of a seam wide open. They knew that was going in. I think Dylan Stro might have tipped this as he’s in front. Little push off. Looks like it. Yeah, you can’t hurt it. As a matter of fact, one touch pass across and a quick shot and yeah, there it is. Just a tip and it just rises over the glove. You see where Nulkovich glove was. And when you look at the teams in the East, this team right here, the way they play, the way they’re coached, and how disciplined they are, they should be scaring a lot of teams. Continue to get it done. Here’s Ryan Leonard. He’s got a three-point game going and he walks in and scores. Wow, what an individual effort by rookie Ryan Leonard. come in with speed and that move through the legs, picks it up with his skate, fights off the check, and goes backand up top. Now, this is also kind of the new NHL. Timothy Loigerrren is playing puck, puck, puck the whole time. Back in the day, not too long ago, you would just you wouldn’t want your defenseman to turn there. You just want to make sure you got a ton of assists. And want some shots and they’ll get one here. And Lindren responding with a save off God. Just from the scrum in front and Lindren flashing the left hand out. Makes a spectacular save there. Clingberg and his stick betrays him. A threeon one back the other way. Frank a shot saved. Rebound and Nadulkovich has it. William going to work. There’s a shot and a rebound. Grab denied by Lindren. Carries it back into Sharks territory to Foley. And now Godette Orloff wind lines up and scores. Dimmitri Orof his first goal as a Shark. That’ll ruin Lindren shut out bid and it’s 71. Watch. I think it’s gone down going to the net. So the big shot. I’m sorry. Regenda. Regenda. No, doesn’t touch him. Puck is in before. No, that’s a goal. Good for Dimmitri. Puck is in before the contact is made. I like the screen. I like wherea setting up. That’s a beautiful screen. A little bit of a flash or a drive by screen. They’re checking puck by and then there’s the regenda contact, but no contact is made until the puck is by. Yeah, that’s the best look at it. The angle behind the net and this is going to be the call now. Yeah. After video review is determined that there is no goalender interference, the big goal Washington test day and learning from days like this because mama said there’d be days like this and she was right. And that’s the end of this one as the Washington Capitals

Ryan Leonard added two goals and four points to his season tally, Alex Ovechkin had two goals on the night, and the Washington Capitals dominated the San Jose Sharks 7-1.

  1. You know what they say about Ovechkin: he’s useless directly in front of the net, so no need to cover him at all!

Who’s “they” you ask? A top-secret Capitals spy sent to infiltrate the coaching staff of the Sharks. The plan seems to have worked.

At least that’s the only explanation I can think of that makes any sort of sense whatsoever…

  2. Агент Овечкина пошёл подписывать контракт ещё на 5 лет, контракт будет двойной, один с Овечкиным, второй с его пивным животом😁

  3. This was rough to watch. I get it's a young team and the opponent is a very good hockey club but I was hoping lopsided results like this was left in 2023-24. They've basically been giving Askarov the Hellebuyck/Vasilevskiy workload lately which isn't necessary for a goaltender in his first season as a starter. I wouldn't blame any of those 4 goals on him or the 3 on Ned to be honest. Hopefully they bounce back in the next one.

  4. god damn, sharks just ran into a buzzsaw tonight, ontop of the caps skaters just being on fire charlie was letting nothing through that he could see… ryan leonard is a star already

  5. Lindgren played fantastic tonight. Also, interesting to note that all but one of the Caps goals came from exactly the same place (the circle to the goalie's right), and almost all were top shelf.

  6. Capitals надрали задницу Sharks , что не видно было этого выскочку Целлибрини….The Capitals kicked the Sharks' ass so much that you couldn't see that upstart Cellibrini…
