NHL Highlights | Stars vs. Devils – December 3, 2025

And we’re underway. Thanks for joining us here on a Wednesday night at the Rock Stars and the Devils as they poke it back out to center ice. Brat fans on his outlet pass allowing Dallas to control and Dell flings it to the red line where it’s knocked down by Team Omire. Meyer drives, tipped, deflected on, and a save by Anger off the stick of Brad. So far, two real good defensive plays and reads by Team Omire helping down low. blocks the Johnson shot. Here’s Gritsuk with a shot and a save by Odder. The rebound goes into the corner. It’s um just unbelievable that it’s here. I know. I got to chat with him about his youth hockey days. Do you have any stories about when he was a kid? Any hockey memories that really stick out to you right now? He’s played his whole career one way and that’s like every shift is his last and you appreciate covering guys like that for sure. So 150 ft instead of 200 goes into the corner glass battling goes to Lindell leaves it for Heskin with a shot into the belly of Markstrom and he gets the save. Pops back into the corner. Hints to the point. Dylan hard pass to Hughes. Hughes gets around Robertson. Slings a shot that’s gloved down by Ager. You’re at the credential center and you want to keep that home cooking going. and they’ve won a lot of tight games on those wins we’ve talked about many times and it looks like that’s going to be the type of game here tonight. Good portion of the first period. Sean Ther flips it back out to center waiting for it to come down. Glenn Denning leaves for N surrounded by stars so he flings a shot. Every second so important and a scoreless tie late in the first period. Right. Outlet pass to Hints. Drops it back off for Ben Robertson. Shot steered aside by Marstra. Back out to the point. Kuchanic to Steel. Goes off a skate. Good job by Steel to get back to the blue line. Balance it. Sing. A shot that goes off the glove of Marstroman. Wide. Labushkin to Johnston. Back to Labouchkin. straight away with a shot easily gloved by Marstrom and he holds off. Also, these two teams have a lot in common. We’ll give you some stats a little bit later on as we get deeper into this game. Nason finds LaMo with a shot saved backand by and it doesn’t go. Let’s take a look at this opportunity by the fourth line right from behind the net. Great no look pass from Nason at the half wall. Gets it out front to Lamo and he gets a great chances there. Two saves. One more look at it as Mason knew what he was going to do before he got the puck. That’s a huge save by Auter. I think he got a piece of the rebound as well. Knocks the first one down. That one went off the pipe. Glenn Denning on the re. But we all know how important Jack Hughes and Brett Peshi are to this team and they will be back sooner than later. So find a way to scratch and claw, manufacture points in the meantime. Welcome back to Devil’s Hockey presented by RWJ Barnabas Health, official healthc care provider of the Here comes Bork. Ritz Kovian into the zone. Shot saved by Marstrom. Back behind the net. Ritz Kovian still with it. Slings a shot that’s chested down by Marstrom. So backto back opportunities for Dallas. Well, they’re saying the ice surface the the length might be 5 ft shorter or something like that that to condense the neutral zone. Crazy. I I read that and I don’t know if the National Hockey League there as Luke Hughes gets it through. Comes to Meyer and just chips it over the net. Opportunity there for Brad. Chested down by Oddinger. First shot of the period for the Devils on his forehand out to Dylan. Dylan off the half ball cut off by Hastkin. Carter sticks with it. Gets it out the glass and a save by back out to Carter. Devils buzzing here with their third line. glass and hastin back behind the net. Brown back to Dylan. Backs up to the blue line. Dylan Brown back to Dylan. A one-timer and it slides just wide. Maybe a piece from as Cotter was right at the doorstep. Palot plays it on his forehand. Finds Mercer with a shot wide. Rebound. Grits. Comes out the far side. He finds Palot. Bands on the shot. Chilowski with a shot. Save. Rebound. Goes wide off of Gritsuk as Dallas got back. Jalowski. Dallas up the wall. Nez keeps, drags it back to the blue line and finds Mercer. Mercer for Palot. Palot finding some room. Nemits. Nemits back. Chalowski. Fakes the shot. Sets a one-time for Palot. Goes wide. But bottom six for the Devil. Forward-wise have gotten some great opportunities. There’s a shot by Brat that’s chested away by Aer. They get some good looks around Atoner. There’s a quick shot from Jper Brat that’s fought off by the goalender and we’re going to watch Brat with a quick made it difficult. Redsuck with a move spins in the corner finds Dylan. Dylan for Hughes. A shot and a glove save by three. How did you do? Post your own questions to # Cadillac on X. A shot deflect just wide. So I’m tooting my horn and it was Matt Machchuck, not Mueller. I saw my I saw the M stops finds Seganthaler he slings a shot goes off escape and right to Hamilton Hamilton Seganthaler shot oner with the save Glendenning over skated the rebound Capo Biano can’t clear Carter though tried to sling it deep but it goes off of Ben hints Capo Biago goes to Robertson Robertson with a shot and a save by Marstrom and he holds on just because of those two games alone skin in Little around the world finds Lindell Vasahhiskin inanin fires a shot. Shoulder save by Marstra before that shot. The Devils had nine of the last 10 shots out shooting Dallas now 17-1. Brad from his knees trying to find Heishir does a connect as it goes off of Lindell. Hence red line can’t get it deep thanks to Hamilton but he finds Robertson with a shot and it’s blocked. Slides to the corner as Robertson was fighting through Seanthaler. Pence finds Heskin with a shot and scores. Can’t leave him wide open. It’s one nothing Dallas. Everybody just uh not looking at the puck. Hasten so dangerous. Sneaks in and you see Mark brought to you by the New Jersey Lottery. Remember, anything can happen in Jersey and you don’t want this to happen if you’re the Devils. It’s a broken play a little bit. They do a good job one-on-one with Robertson’s got such a long reach is always dangerous even after the puck is blocked. But you see it ends up going to Ben and Hastenan is wide open. Seanthaler gets tied up with Marstrom. Marstrom gets kind of drifting. Could not finish. Well, that can’t happen with Ritzovian. We’ve seen it too often where the Devils kind of unravel a little bit and we’ve seen goals in Meyer can’t be completed as it’s swiped aside by Johnston who gathers off the feed from Steel. Steel takes the hard pass. Shot big time save by Marstrom as he’s able to aggressively cut off the shot and the Kraken were not in the playoffs last year. They’re in the playoffs right now. Here comes Hugh. Sharp angle pass in front. Bzer at the doorstep and a save by Odinger. And that’s the type of goal he is when he’s on. He’s he’s really tough to beat and and they’re going to have to get maybe a one of those greasy type goals like this around the net as blue Hughes does a good job. So smooth the back end. He controls the the tempo of a game and reminded me a lot of my old partner way back Scott Nemar. Pass goes to Liddell. He’s got some room. Gets the deflection in front and Robertson scores. And now it’s two nothing. There’s been some breakdowns here in the defensive zone the last three minutes for the Devils. And just has a nose for the net. Timing finding that space where he can get to that pass and nobody else. Right on his tape from Lindell. Makes a nice play. But too many open lanes. Carter has a piece of him, but he’s just a half step behind. Can’t tie up the stick, but the Devils get enough of it to send it back out to center. Devils had nine of 10 shots. Now Dallas has got it, but short-handed is Mercer. Saved by seconds of power play time to start the third. The little trouble handling that puck rolling against the wall and finds Mercer. Brown finds Brat. Brat short-handed, lost the handle, but gets it back. balances the blue line then finds Brown with a shot and it’s clubed aside by the one thing I’ll say about Lulu Amarillo when he sensed the team was good enough he was going to he was going to pull out all the stops to make sure you were given the best chance to win what can the Devils do tonight welcome back to Devils Hockey presented by RWJ Barnes Health official healthc care provider of the New Jersey Devils back behind the net Seanthaler to deal with shake loose of him goes back behind the net seenthaler sticking with him as he goes all the way to the circle. Hayes get it. Shot by Lindell through traffic. Saved by Marstrom. They poke in the rebound and that’s a killer goal. Unreal. Three nothing Dallas. What did that hit his glove and go down? Yeah, it looked like it. But Randon again, they have a couple of guys you mentioned a handful of times here in this game. Glass, he’ll just hold it with one second. Brown spins back into the neutral zone and for the second time this year, the Devils get shut out. [Music]

Miro Heiskanen opened the scoring in the second period and Jason Robertson doubled the Stars’ lead heading into the third period before Mikko Rantanen added to the lead to secure a comfortable 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils.

  1. Oettinger has now beaten all 31 teams in the league in an impressive shutout win over the Devils in a rematch of the 2000 NHL Stanley Cup Final!

  2. I believe that Siegenthaler's name is pronounced "Seegentaller" (no "th" sound). Just a note for the announcer. We know some Swiss people and they pronounce it without the "th" sound.

  3. Keefe is done. Fitzgerald can leave at the same time.

How many years we have waited for the "cup contender" Devils, only to see a miserable team year after year?

  4. How many more first overall, top 5-10 draft picks do the devils need? This is starting to get embarrassing. Now the whole fanbase is begging for Quinn Hughes 😂
