Boston Celtics Are Creating A MONSTER

Man, oh man, did you guys see that second quarter from Hugo Gonzalez? He completely changed the game. Starting out with just getting physical on the offensive glass and being too much for Jordan Clarkson to handle. And here’s the thing, to start this quarter, they they just had no answer for Carl Anthony Towns on the other end of the floor. You saw Kada struggling to guard his three-point shot, but also he was getting the better of him down low. So the adjustment was put Hugo on him and man oh man he was getting the better of him. Look at him stay straight up but also play physical defense forcing an out of control out of rhythm shot. And once again the centers on Carl Anthony Town. See you later. He’s too quick. Don’t worry our guy is in help position with his arms and hands straight as can be. But also he knows his role as quick as humanly possible. He gets the rock to Jaylen Brown. So guess what? He can initiate a mismatch. This scrawny white boy has no chance against Jaylen Brown in transition. And the thing about Carl Anthony Towns is he’s very emotional and you can tell the physicality was bothering him, constantly looking and chirping at the officials during this quarter. Mentally, he was completely taken out of the game by Hugo. And this was a very tough matchup by Towns because he likes to use his speed. He’s not typically a back down back down type of guy, but against our guy, you can’t just beat him off the dribble. He’s too quick with his feet. And I’m telling you, Joe Mazul is completely fine with this foul call. Mentally, he’s a mess right now. He got the call and yet he’s still complaining. He loves taking this three-point shot, but guess what? Hugo takes it away. His next go-to is a little pump fake. See you later. But he’s not quick enough. Jaylen Brown then switches on to him. Josh Hart is one pass away. You know what’s going to happen. Double team and Cat just isn’t quick enough. Once again, hands and arms as straight as can be to avoid the foul. Steel and what do you know? Cat’s looking at the refs again. And then he just commits the silliest foul you’ll ever see. He gets taken out. And after starting the quarter with three straight buckets, it turns into a terrible disaster class because of Hugo Gonzalez. His versatility is insane. Now he’s keeping Mitchell Robinson, one of the best offensive rebounders off the offensive glass. That is so hard to do. Mitchell Robinson literally ruins games for opponents by getting offensive rebounds. And then he’s switching on to Jaylen Brunson. I’ve never seen this before. Jaylen Brunson gets this call 99 out of 100 times. Props to the officials for not falling for his foul baiting tactics. And because he’s a work in progress on the offensive end of the floor, this is one of his main roles. You know, screen advantages for your best player. He does that here. Initially, it doesn’t work, but then boom, Shakalaka. And now, guess what? A scorching hot Jaylen Brown as Jaylen Brunson on an island and that results in Brunson touching the ground. Ample space created. nothing but net. What a master class from Hugo. And that just showcases how you can make an impact without scoring the basketball. He only took two shots. He only made one of them and only had two points. Yet, outside of Jaylen Brown, who had 18 points in that second quarter, I think Hugo was the second most impactful player because he literally took Carl Anthony Towns out of the game who was cooking them to start the quarter. And to me, it’s been a very successful rookie season so far for him because they’re winning his minutes when he’s on the floor. 187 minutes so far, plus 29 in the plus minus category, plus 10.4 net rating per pivotfade.com. 1. Celtics front office needs some credit too. They always find these gems that just needs polishing. Look at Pritchard, hauser, white, even the Js. All created by Celtics coaching, scouting and training staff. The kids 19 sticking all star centers and guards!! Imahine when he’s abiut 23! He’s very smart too, he’s already telling the younger players were to position themselves on the court. His offense needs work but like Celtics always say. You can teach shooting and offense, you can’t teach effort and IQ. That’s all defense is, effort and reading the game so you can anticipate what happens before your opponent does it. Walsh and Minnot are also good defenders. Throw in Tatum and you got something scary lol. I really want to see Tatum play with these small line ups and fast pace. With his passing, this could really work!
