Capital City Go-Go vs. Raptors 905 – Game Highlights

[Applause] And that’s in the whole league within the Eastern Conference. They are one and two. Here’s Williams. Good to the jam. Scallopier up to the Raptors. Richmond guarding the ball. And now a switch. Pepper against Leaky Black. Poke away. Black with a steal and he can run. Leaky Black with the flush. Talking about a guy who puts pressure. He just knows how to win. Knows how to win. And he just made the one free throw worth. Two. We’re tied at four three minutes in. And another poke away. Momo forces another turnover. Pass ahead. Oh, it’s a mark in transition. [Music] [Applause] Momo gives off Rody. Corner three is good. Much needed. Wins ACC player of the year. And now he gets to play pro basketball when it really didn’t look like his basketball career was going much of anywhere early in college. Lawson for three from the corner. Welcome back to the Paramount Fine Food Center in Missaga. I’m Ben Schulman alongside Warren Ward with Lindsay Dunn on the baseline. Second quarter of action. Raptors 905 and Capital City Go. Jonathan Mo picking up where he left off. Tag the roller and then get back to his own his own man. They get loier on the ball again. Sar guarding him. He had two block shots in the first quarter. Did Sar Williams for three and he caught it. Four-point play opportunity to an excellent first half. Johnson stripped and a block from behind by Ree. Pass ahead. Joiner. He’ll turn it back. And pardon me. Six steals for Mo as Joiner puts it up. Jarkel Joiner. Jarkeel Joiner having a huge second quarter. This three helped his nine-point effort. Now with Washington and with the go- go tonight because of the Chris Middleton trick. Floater Mobo. It’s good again. Nine for 11 from the floor for 18 in the first half. Now Johnson pass to Hoist from the logo and he had the range on it but it was off the mark. Here’s great pass by Jonathan Mobile. Hill headband to Johnson. Lob up too high. Now he headman’s lost it. Good job. Heard is screaming for that ball from Bobo. Now a baseline drive. Black working on key shoulder into his chest. Johnson deep three. Swish. One of the big three in this one that I talked about early on is that paint battle. Nice strip from behind to take it away from Levisier. Tyreek into the paint. Reverses it in off to Levisier. Good quarter for him, but the three is short. Long rebound goes back to him. Williams skies missed the layin and Leitzi here comes over the top. Way to clean up the mess. Rody recovers to Gilden. Lissier [Music] Richmond over to Mantis. Pass inside Williams. Great cut and one. Mantis flares the screen. Williams blocked by Lawson. Mantis tips it and it’s a shot clock violation. Didn’t get it up in time. 905 have gotten a lucky with some of these drives and misses by Capitol City. Martin for three, former NC State man. Flips it to Rody to the left to the keep. Baits on the baseline and just got the roll. Good touch. Great move by David Rody. He got lucky with that roll. Bowl rolled around like it was a toilet and in the basket. 905 past the century mark now at 101 points. By Keith, he earned that point. Great defense by Keith. Tipped it into the open court. That’s what you want to do defensively. Again, 33 bench points for the 905 already in this one. Over the top. Good feeder. Credit him on the assist. Eight and0 right now. Deflection and steal by Joiner. Already leading by 19. Joiner with the run. Great bucket. Joiner speeds into the key and lost it. Picked up near the baseline. Williams numbers right now. Twoon one. Go and Johnson skies to put it in. Martin drives into the defense. Turns around has space. Nice move. Lob over the top and stolen. Steal. Great anticipation. Yeah, that’s insane. Inside. He’s leading by one point as well, so you never know. Mobile could take over. There’s Scout Lisier, who’s had a great second half. That three gets him to 20 points. I think so, too. I think he might have got fouled. Oh, Johnson the other way with Pace. Fits it in. Nice move. Nice finish with the left hand. He knew the shot blocker was right there. Very crafty. This game is not over yet. 905 have to continue to execute on both ends of the floor. 16-point game. Just under four to go. Heburn. One more. Mo behind the back. Beats the double. Momo with a big jam. Great. Beat the defender. Didn’t take didn’t get the charge. Behind the back. Lawson scoops it up. Well, those two are going to go back and forth for leading scoreer in the game. Whenever I’m about to say Mobile took over, Lawson said, “Nope, I got it.” Lawson’s got 25 right now to Momo’s 24. Lawson was looking for a steal there. And that ball nearly went out of bounds on the pass to the corner. Drive to the rim. Johnson under the hoop and in. He’s putting on a display. They are 8 and0 right now. Are the 905 in commanding position. Just over two minutes to go. Sar kicks it out. Heburn tries the three and it’s good. Chucky Heburn up to a dozen points in the game. 19-point lead near turnover. Gilbert saves it before it goes out of bounds. Two minutes to go. Gilbert darts inside. Gawk. Big dunk of cold. Opponent finally did score over 100 points. Gilbert three is no good in the 905. Go to 9 and0. Another convincing win. This one on home floor.

  1. Skal Labissiere was once the highest ranked high school player on the planet. People were comparing him to KG. I don't know if it's injuries, a lack of conditioning, or just age (he's 29 now), but he looks so slow and unathletic out there.
