    Step 4a: Hughes convinces his brothers to demand a trade here because it’s nice playing down the road from mom and dad
    Step 4b: Also they come home to Michigan in the summer anyway, so why not?
    Step 5: Win a cup

  9. I can see that I woke up with a ton of people on their BS today.

    Vancouver holds very little cards in this “potential” trade about Quinn Hughes. They try to hold out for too much they get nothing when he walks.(look what happened to the Leafs with Marner)

    The only teams that are going to give up a top roster player, top prospect, and several firsts for a year and a half of Hughes is well… no one.

  11. Kasper/Danielson, Aljo, and a 1st. It’s a long term rental. Giving up multiple good young NHL players for a guy that has stated he wants to go play in New Jersey is crazy pants.

    Even though I think the above is a fair trade, I’m not sure I’d do it. Getting Hughes for this year and next year really only makes sense if we’re in a win now mode and we aren’t until the goaltending is fixed.

    So what’s the current centennial jersey situation? I’m interested in getting one, most likely a Seider, but am unsure where people are getting them. I want the second best tier (Fanatics Premium, right?) and for it to look as close to the Authentic Pros as can be. I’ve read a few posts on here about various retailers having the logos and numbers stitched versus heat pressed and whatnot, so I guess I’m hoping one of you knows more about it than I do and can point me in the direction of the “best” one.

  19. I had a dream last night where Detroit made 2 different trades with Vancouver. Both were depth for depth and I was incredibly disappointed.

    As for tonight, the Jackets feel like a winnable game to start the December road trip. Agree with the WWP boyos that they need to go at least .500 on the trip to keep pace in the Atlantic. Could be a good time to go streaking again 👀

  21. Our goalie prospects by save percentage (min 10 GP) are currently:

    1st in the AHL (Cossa, .945)

    2nd in the NCAA (Augustine, .938)

    2nd in the QMJHL (Guimond, .922)

    Pretty nice pipeline.

  22. I don’t watch the griffins but they are doing incredible this year. I assume it must be helping cossa and the other goalies that they have 2 defenceman that are borderline Nhlers. Although Gustafson and holl are clearly not NHL defenceman anymore, can someone that watch’s the AHL fill us in? Are they considered great in the AHL despite being nearly washed in the NHL?

  24. There’s an interesting hypothetical in all this Hughes talk that I’m surprised isn’t being talked about more. If Vancouver said we’ll take either Kasper or Danielson your choice, which do you keep?

    I think I take Nate, but it doesn’t feel like an easy choice

  28. I know people here like to say that we’re the softest team in the league when they want to be down on the team, but I think New Jersey is proving that it’s actually them.

    They acted like a bunch of babies in their win against the Wings last week. Last night, they start shit with the Blue Jackets when Fantilli tries to drive the net looking for a rebound, they get rocked, and then Keefe goes and whines to the media about how it was unfair.

    Obviously no wants to see Dillon go down the way he did, but uh… don’t start none, won’t be none. At least when Mo got rocked by Kastelic, he took his licks and didn’t whine about it afterward.
