Although I want Marks to go harder on the tank by holding out players against bad teams and other tactics discussed a million times, I really just want a real commitment to one direction.
The next 4 games will tell us if the Nets organization learned their lesson from last season and they’re committed to a top 3 pick or if they’re ok with how far we fell in the draft.
Tonight is an easy opportunity to sit MPJ on a B2B against a team we can beat. He’s coming off having back tightness and probably shouldn’t play him even if we were competing.
If we win 3/4 of these games, it’ll signal we’re ok with the possibility of getting the 8-10 pick. It’ll be a bit of relief for me that I can focus solely on the development of the young players on this team and not have to root for loses.
