REPORT: Mets BLOCKBUSTER TRADE Coming | Mets Hot Stove | New York Mets | Joe Ryan | Mets News | MLB

What’s up Mets fans? Welcome back to the channel. As we are a few days away from the winter meetings, more reports are coming out of what the Mets potentially could be looking for for an ace starting pitcher. And reports are that is right in front of you from John Haymon that Joe Ryan is among the pitchers that interest that interest the Mets in a potential trade for a frontline starter. And the twins are believed to like prospect Jonah Tong. Now, that should alert Met fans because there are some Met fans that are afraid to trade potential great prospects. And there’s many people that might not want to do this, but I say this, do you want to win? because I don’t believe Jonah Tong is ready even this season to be a part of this rotation and help us win. Do I think he could do that in the future? Absolutely. But why wait until the future? You hope your best hopes of Jonah Tong even being a glimpse of what Joe Ryan is right now is a pipe dream. That’s all it is. We can’t wait for that. We’re going We’re on the 40th year of the last time the Mets won a World Series. Met fans, you got to start winning. You got to get established players in here. Yes. Slide in a couple of young prospects, young players. Understandable. But if you can make this move, you do it. Joe Ryan is the better pitcher at this point. He is an established pitcher now. He would be an ace with the Mets depending on if the Mets bring in another starter that might be a topline starter. But if the Mets get him tomorrow, he will be the Mets ace. So when it comes to the possibility of Jonah Tong being traded for Joe Ryan, it’s a no-brainer. It is a no-brainer. fans. This is what you need to do if you are the New York Mets. You cannot play games with this. You go get the guy who is available. If this is the best potential or possibility of getting a topline starter in a trade, you do it. Joe Ryan has three years left on his deal. So, you get a bargain for one of the one of the top pitchers. And with the three years left making minimal money, you don’t have to go crazy in the free agent market. Maybe the Mets still will. Maybe they still will if they get Joe Ryan. He’s making chump change when it comes to a topline starter. And the Mets can still potentially get a Frammer Valdez. Can get anybody they want on the free agent, a Suarez. like they can do anything they want if they do this trade. If this is the easiest possibility or the best way to get a topline starter in here, Scuba will cost too much. Peralta might cost a little less, but maybe they just like Joe Ryan more. You do it. And when they say they that John Haymon reported that Jonah Tong is who the Minnesota Twins are eyeing, let’s make one thing clear, Mets fans, it’s not going to be just Jonah Tom. There is no way with three years left of control, Joe Ryan is getting traded for only prospect Jonah Tom. There is no way in hell that would be the steel of the century. Joe Ryan for Jonah Tong. That would be a complete steal. Would I do it? Yeah, in a heartbeat. If it only takes if they’re that desperate to get rid of Joe Ryan for whatever reason and it’s only Jonah Tom, nobody should be against this trade. Absolutely not. But I don’t think it’s just going to be Jonah Tom. Now, is it going to be as much as Scoo? No. Is it going to be more than Freddy Peralta? Probably. So there’s there’s other possibilities out there obviously that we just that we know who are out there on the trade market and you know this type of trade will be somewhere in the middle. It’s going to be more than Peralta less than Scooball and then you wonder what else can potentially be in his deal. Well, you did bring in Marcus Simeon in the trade when you traded Brandon Nemo to the Rangers. You got Simeon for three more years. you kind of block more of the infield with all these darn prospects that don’t have spots on this team. At some point, you got to start moving them. The roster construction, the roster manipulation makes it so much harder for Mendoza to manage. We saw it last year when you had so many infielders playing the same positions that most of them sat on the bench while others played. It didn’t help their progression to get better and it didn’t do anything for this team. It actually hurt the team. So what the Mets should do with roster construction is you know what Jonah Tong, you want Jonah Tong? Great. We will give you one more of our major league ready players. If that’s Brett Batty, if that’s Vientos, if that’s Akunia, if that’s Ronnie Mauricio, you do it. I think it’ll take two top 10 prospects in my opinion or at least Jonah Tong and the the players I just mentioned. Think it’ll take one of those guys. The Twins can fill that spot with one of the major league ready guys. And you got Jonah Tong who was probably I truly think a year away, but that’s potential for the Minnesota Twins. This is the opportunity for the New York Mets to make a splash in the rotation. This is what you have to do. You can’t be playing games. You can’t let the market dictate what you were going to do. So far with the Devin Williams signing, the Mets did not let that dictate their potential market. They went out went out there and got Devin Williams, which was a shock. It was somewhat reported, but it was didn’t feel like there was enough, you know, smoke there to have anything happen. And it happened. This is the potential trade where you definitely can be the winner in this trade. I think it could take two guys for Joe Ryan. I think if you can get a Ronnie Mauricio in there with Jonah Tong, that would be ideal. I think if you can get Aunia in that deal with Jonah Tong, you do it. You still do it. this even with one of those guys along with Jonah Tong should still not let you do this trade. Th this is this is this is two opportunities here. Number one, you get a topline starter. Number two, you create less of a log jam in this infield, which is a problem within itself, especially with Simeon on board now. And by the way, McNeel is still here. You know, you can’t be running around Akunia and Mauricio and Dave and Vientos because two of them are going to sit on the bench, possibly three. And I don’t see how that helps anybody. Your prospects don’t get better. They sit on the bench, they lose value, and you hope the guy that’s actually starting is doing the job. So, where would I potentially rate this type of trade from a scale of 1 to 10? A 10. He would be a best pitcher 100%. Before any other move, this just makes a lot of sense. And with the the Twins really being interested in Jonah Tong, great. If you can keep Branch, bro, and you’re clearly keeping Mlan, it’s a win-win. How about that Mlan Ryan duo? And I still believe the New York Mets are going to go out on that free agent market because Joe Ryan is costing basically nothing for the next couple of seasons. Would be a potential rotation. Let’s say the Mets do sign Valdez. Valdez, Mlan, Ryan as your one, two, three. Oh, that that is a rotation that you can go into the season with and saying, “All right, we got our pitch in.” Will it happen? Starting to heat up here. A lot of reports are coming out. It really did come out of nowhere where they were talking about this a lot more. And this is not just one reporter. It’s multiple reporters with multiple articles and with their own little reporting. All is coming back to the Joe Ryan situation. This is a Stern’s move. and let’s see if he gets it done. Let me know in the comments, guys, what you think about the potential of a Joe Ryan for Jonah Tong Plus to get this deal done and get Joe Ryan wearing the orange and blue in Queens. With that said, guys, thank you for watching and as always, Met fans, let’s go Mets.

REPORTS coming out of a potential Mets Blockbuster trade of SP Joe Ryan and could include Jonah Tong in a deal to land the ace starting pitcher.

  1. Unless they've actually tried to get a more proven option, I don't like a trade for Joe Ryan and the assets you're giving up for him, I'm not sold on him.

  2. 2 years left i believe. 2026 and 27. Mind you one of those years we might not have baseball so you're really trading your future for one year of Ryan unless you resign him.

  3. Mets are desperate for starting pitching. 10 yeras since the 2015 they have always had issues. They are in need of 4 starterds if they plan on making the playoffs.. Forget alonso for now. You want a better outcomes this year. Startng pitching or 26 is done.

  4. All this is, is a trade idea brought on by a sports writer saying that the Mets are eying this pitcher. The Mets are eying a lot of starters right now both FA and via trade. Who they get, well we will see. Should be interesting. I have the feeling Stearns ( who I am not thrilled with yet) is going to go big this offseason to make up for last season. Feeling the pressure
