The 2025 Mariners Season is Over… – Mariners Postgame

man. Man, oh man, chat. Um, yeah, tough tough tough way for that season to end, huh? I mean, listen, we’re not we’re not we’re not gonna, you know, sit here and act like um like that was, you know, acceptable. I listen, the Mars put up a fight in this one. Um sucks, man. It sucks. It’s uh again, a rough way to go out. There’s plenty of things that we can break down. Um and I don’t really want to get too into it on the stream. just simply because, you know, it it’s still so fresh for everybody. U I’m sure in episodes of the podcast moving forward, Joe and I are going to break down um you know, kind of kind of what went into why the Mariners weren’t able to uh to uh come through in this one. Ian with the $2. Can Dan be expelled from the Mariners Hall of Fame? Ian, I appreciate that too, bro. Um, yeah, that’s I mean that that this is what it comes down to, right? This is what it comes down to tonight. You should have used Andreas Munoz at the top of the order. Like, like I I do not understand why Dan Wilson went to Edward Bazardo in that situation. The dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Woo should have been out there for the third. I mean, that’s also an option, I guess. Yeah. I mean, it could have also been Woo out there for the third, but Bazardo, it’s just the wrong choice. It’s just straight up the wrong choice. Lorenzo uh with the two months. Appreciate that, Lorenzo. And William with the 299. Appreciate it, boys. Yeah, it um I mean, what more can you say? It’s It sucks right now. I mean, we have waited 49 years and to be this close to a World Series and to not make it. You were nine outs away. Nine outs away from a World Series. Mara with the $50 holler. Dude, Mara, I appreciate the hell out of you. Um, it was an amazing year for our team and with the Majovians. Love you all. Let’s run it back in 2026. And you know, Mara Mara brings up a brings up a good point. Mara, thank you so much for being here and being a huge part of this community over this entire year. But again, this sucks. Um, but when you look at this as a whole, right, it was still a great season for the Mariners, the most successful season in Mariners history. It was the closest they’ve ever gotten to the World Series. It sucks and and I know that we all feel the same way and I just appreciate the hell out of every single one of you for the hundreds of times, the probably 150 170 streams that we did this year um that you guys have been showing up for it. So, it it truly means a lot. Mara with the 50. It means a lot. RPG with the five hurts bad, but what a season. Love you all. Yeah, I mean it was a fantastic season in the end. Um, and I we’re we’re going to look back on this season and we’re going to be like, “Yeah, like that was that was a great season for the Mariners.” Truthfully, we’re going to look back on it. It’s just right now it it’s just it’s rough right now. Numb says Creed with the two. Yeah, that’s how I felt when Springer hit that home run. I didn’t react. I just watched it go out. I didn’t react at all. Um yeah, that was the equivalent of Super Bowl 49 splitface with the $2. Yeah, that’s what I saw um tight end Gonzalez tweet that he’s like more upset by this than throwing the ball at the one yard line. That’s fair. Lorenzo with the 199. Not going to lie, I question every move by Dan this ALCS. He he had a pretty rough go of it in a lot of the moves that he made. Some of them worked, some of them absolutely did not. Um, five from Mike. A a great season, B a great year for the Majovians, C fire Dan Wilson, and D bring back Josh Naylor. I agree on on pretty much all all um all regards there. Ah, ZB, what’s up, dude? Hey, man. Um, yeah, I appreciate you, Dustin. Yeah. No, again, I don’t want it to be confused with the fact that like, you know, we we had an incredible season. Like, I don’t want this game to mar everything that happened, but as we know, Austin, we know what’ll happen. As of right now, we have to just live in the moment, right? We have to live in the fact and, you know, let this breathe a little bit. Let feel it a little bit, right? And then in in a in a week’s time, you know, maybe once those playoffs are over, think about how exciting of a season it was. Cal Raleigh hit 60 home runs. The Mariners were one win away from the World Series for the first time in history. Yes, we can look at all the mistakes that this team made. But at the same time, this was the best team in ba in Mariners history. Full stop. Full stop. Rodney with the 499. This sucks. However, the Jays were the better team. The bottom of our lineup is and was garbage all series long. Yeah, I feel it, Autumn. Me, too. Yeah, the the the bottom of this lineup. Holy crap, Chip. One sec. the bomb of this lineup was terrible tonight. Terrible. That, you know, Leo Rivos, Victor Roblace, they they didn’t come through when you really needed them to. Um, and it’s just a situation where you have to go out next year. And again, we’ll talk plenty about next year. Um, you know, we have five months now to do it. We’ll talk a lot about it, but um, yeah, just bomb light up needed to be better. Chipstone with the $99.99, the $100 hala from Chip. Chip, you’ve been an absolute legend ever since you uh you found the channel, man. I hope you you and the wife are doing well. Hard work for you guys this year. Glad we found you. We may have to go to a World Series game down here in LA. I love Bazardo all year, but managing choices need to be better in that situation. It was one good uh sweating game. Same reaction to Homer as you. Hey, are human but predictable. Chip, dude. Chip, I appreciate, first of all, I appreciate you and all the support that you’ve shown the channel over the last, you know, couple of months that you’ve been a part of it, dude. It it truly means a lot. Um, yeah, I say go to a game. Absolutely go to a game. And if you do, you know, shoot me pictures of of what what the atmosphere is like and just let me know because um I would really like to experience it one day. Uh Dylan with the 10. The management needs to turn around in the next month and resign Naylor immediately. Yeah, think about it, chat. You need That’s a great point, Dylan. if if the ownership can just pony up right away, right? Give you the money and go sign Naylor immediately. I love you too, Ben. Um, you know, and the $20 holla. You guys love the gift. I know you do. I do too. Um, and if you can resign Naylor right away, we’re we’re feeling you. We’re feeling pretty okay with kind of where this offseason could be going. Taco, welcome to the Majians. I appreciate you, homie. Black Mantis with the five. At least you didn’t get kicked in the nuts by your division rival like we did. Losing the ALCS sucks, but MS fans had a hell of a season. Yeah, I mean, you know, we’re kind of used to getting kicked in the nuts by our uh our uh ALC American League West rivals as well and the Astros and the ALDS and 22, but I got you, bro. Appreciate you, Black Mantis, for being here all year long, man. Andrew with the 20. Big support to your journey, brother. Dude, it means a man. Thank you so much. Um what a ride. as Blake D with the $49.99. One sec. Blake, you guys are going absolutely insane tonight. Holy [ __ ] Taco with the five. Who do you think needs to get traded or brought in this off seasonason? And do you think Sanja will be ready middle of next year? I think Sja and Kate Anderson has a uh has a chance to be um to be in the rotation at some point next year. I would not be shocked if one of either Luis Castillo or George George Kirby are traded. Truthfully, I would not be shocked. Uh Jackson with the 199. We need bullpen and a true second baseman. Yeah, I mean it’ll be interesting to see with Ryan Bliss and Cole Young coming back next year and then if the Mars can go out there and get some good bullpen and then $49.99 from Blake. What a ride. Here’s to making another run in 2026. Yeah, chat. I mean, you look at this team. We’ll be back. We’ll be back, right, Mark? What’s up, dude? What’s up, dude? Appreciate you for being here nonetheless. Thanks for the view, buddy. Um, like we’ll be back, right? 2026. We’re we’re coming back and hopefully another big run like this one. So, I appreciate that $49.99. Blake, you absolute insane person. Kaden. Anyway, here’s my resub onto the next season, boys. Kaden, I appreciate that for eight months. Sean becoming a member of the Mojovians. And then Jeffrey. Sean, I appreciate the hell out of you, bro. Jeffrey with the $2 hala. The better team won. Get him in 50 more years. Listen, I don’t know if I can agree. beat. I mean, I I I’m rooting for the Blue Jays in the in the World Series. I am. I want them to beat the Dodgers. Um, just plain and simple. I I I want I want them to beat the Dodgers. I I don’t necessarily know if I agree the Blue Jays were the better team, but they had did one they do one thing very well, and that’s that they hit. They hit. And, you know, um that’s what they did in this game. 11 months from secular, this game proved that Dan needs to go outmanaged. He got absolutely outmanaged and in in his first year, first full full year as Mariners’s manager, he got them to a championship. Now, was this was this a situation where the Mariners made it to the championship series despite Dan Wilson or with Dan Wilson? Obviously, we’ll have to talk about that during the off season, but I can’t stand the Blue Jays fans. Yeah. I mean, all right. Don’t worry, Chad. I got him. We’ll get him. Mar, I appreciate you for the view. Thanks for giving me extra money, but I’m sorry, buddy. You got to go. You got to go. I’m sorry. Um, yeah, it’s uh again, it’s it’s a situation where if you can come back next year, resign Josh Naylor, right? Another year for hopefully the pitching staff to be healthy. Come back stronger. come back even stronger next year. Truthfully, give it a shot. Uh, five with from Creed. What a season. Introducing myself to you as Creed Prattton will forever be one of my favorite moments of the year. All the way back in spring training, man. Behind, you know, over in um um over by the the scoreboard. Just an awesome experience. It was hot as hell that day, too. Uh poetic justice for Springer. Uh the fans that booed him getting hurt. May all the people. Yeah, I mean you again, you shouldn’t boo somebody that gets hurt, you know. Thanks for the streams, dude. Thank you, guy. I mean, there’s 300. The Mariners season just ended. The Mariners season just ended and there are 500. Holy [ __ ] Holy [ __ ] Is it Is it going to go off twice? Oh my god. Oh my god. That’s the first time that we’ve had that we have had that uh alert go off and it goes off twice in a row and then 20 from Chaos Junkie. All right, chat. Holy [ __ ] One second. One second. Um in with the 199. It was such a special year. Had a lot of happy memories with family at the park. It was great to meet you at T-Mobile Park this year, dude. I appreciate the 19 the 200. We’re just going to call it an even two, bro. Holy [ __ ] I appreciate that. in. I mean, what a what a season. In the end, this is this is what we’re here for. We’re here for community. We’re here for the the the feeling of when you’re at the ballpark and everybody is cheering for the same thing. Every it doesn’t matter, you know, your political views. It doesn’t matter your stance on things. Everybody’s cheering for one thing. That’s the beauty of sports. That’s the beauty of baseball. And you guys made it all that more special for Joe and I um to this this year. and just an incredible season. I mean, it’s it’s again, in my opinion, the greatest season in Mariners history, like from beginning to end and just absolutely insane from you guys, Greg as a legend as always with the 100. What a ride from beginning uh meeting and watching the Padres’s with you at spring training to game to one win away from the World Series. I’m so sad and I’m not getting any younger, but damn, thanks for all you do. Greg, thank you for all you do, bro. I mean, again, everybody that I had the chance to meet at spring training or at the games this year, I can’t even begin to tell you um how much I appreciate all of you guys and all the support that again, we’ve we I don’t know how many streams we’ve done this year. I’m willing to bet it’s over 150 um just like overall and some of them have been, you know, eight nine hour streams for like the trade deadline. And it’s it’s a lot of work, but it is it’s it becomes worth it when you get to when you get to be a part of a community like you guys. So, I really do appreciate, you know, you guys just coming through. And Chaos Junkie with the 20 gifted. I’m not going to go through through and read all the 20 cuz that’s a that’s a uh long list, but Chaos Junkie, I appreciate the 20, bro. Oh my god. Oh, I’m I’m not even I’m not caught up here, chat. Hold on. Kaden with the 199. I hope both sides of Springer’s pillow are warm tonight. Honestly, yeah. Like again, I I don’t I don’t think that cheering for George Springer to be hit is a good thing, but like I hope that I hope that both sides of the pillow are warm and maybe he steps on a Lego or something. Uh, thanks for the streams, Mojo. I h I I got you, Lar RPG with the five. The rotation was never in top form this year and they got this far. They can get back and that’s exactly how I feel, right? the rotation was injured for a a lot of this season. Um, and somehow someway I mean there keep in mind chat there were there were starts where where uh Luis F. Castillo was starting, right? We had Emerson Hancock and Logan Evans. And just think about all the [ __ ] that we went through this year as as Mariners fans. and to get to where they are. Again, if you would have told me back in spring training the Mars were going to make it to game seven of the World Series, I would have been over the moon. Gory with the 10 uh 2024 pitching and 2025 offense for 2026. These M’s put my butt in playoff seats twice. I want to keep that a yearly tradition. Need this front office to guarantee that to us fans. Seattle loves the M. And I I hope I hope that um I hope that ownership realizes that. I hope they realize what this did to the fan base, what this season did to the fan base. We’re we’re fiending. We’re we’re fiending for a World Series. And I hope they realize that by them kind of turning turning this city back into a baseball town, if they can go out there and spend some of the money that they have made from the playoffs this year and go get some players, go extend Logan Gilbert, go resign Josh Naylor, go get a third baseman if you need to or let Ben William like again if Ben Williamson and then Cole Young and Ryan Bliss are your are in your infield next year, that’s fine with me, but you need to make additions to the offense. I don’t know if it could be I don’t know if it could be Victor Roblace. I don’t know. I don’t know if it could be Dom Canzone in right field. If you can go get Kyle Kyle Tucker, go get Kyle Tucker. Jeffrey with the 10. Market for first baseman is going to be hot this off season. You’ll see when you start looking. We can’t afford Naylor unless he wants to be an M. Uh we need a more consistent offense, not home run or bust. I I truly think that the Mariners can uh can afford Naylor. I do. I think the Marin Super early prediction. I say the Mariners uh I I say that the Mariners um payroll will be 190 this year. 19 or next year. Um you know what I ch I changed my mind. I I I’m rooting for the I’m rooting for the for the Dodgers. But Corn Holio, good luck in good luck in the World Series, bro. It was a fun series, but I’m rooting for the Dodgers simply because we’ve had guys like BC in here all year long. Um you know, cheering on the Mariners with us. So, Autumn, I agree. It feel like this big group of people just kind of makes it all worth it. And it whoever asked, “Is it okay to cry?” Fellas, it is okay to cry. It is okay. I I I don’t know if it just hasn’t hit me yet or what. Um but I’m kind of feeling that way as well. So, yeah, just a a a really rough um way for this season to end. Um I feel I feel you, Braden. I feel you. But I Yeah, I at this point I’m more rooting for people, right? I I’m Cal was crying during his interview. Oh [ __ ] Eddie Diaz with the 999 subscriber for life. Enjoy a beer tonight. Best Mariners coverage there is, Eddie. I appreciate the hell out of you, man. I’m sorry you weren’t able to make it up for a playoff game. Um, but dude, what a what a year, man. What a year. And it was so fun to go to a game with you guys earlier this year, too. Uh, Nick with the five. They blew it. fail to perform at home and let the Jays regroup. Time to go to the gym and replace my emotional pain with physical pain. Hey, whatever you got to do, whatever you have to do um to to kind of get yourself through today. Get your get yourself through today. The sun the sun’s going to come up tomorrow and the season’s going to come around again next year and we’re going to be right back here. Um yo, Corn Holio, honestly, I appreciate that, man. It means a lot. I’m glad that the the team the Mars ended up playing ended up being the Blue Jays, who also had obviously a very long playoff drought. Uh or I’m sorry, World Series drought. So again, congratulations to the Blue Jays. They they played a great series. They did. Trade Kirby bring in Scooble and Skins. Can you guys imagine? Cal cried during the interview and said this season was a failure. Interesting. I’ll have to go back and rewatch it. I have to go back and rewatch what uh what Cal said. Thank you for the streams. I got you guys, chat. He wanted to go to the World Series so bad. I mean, again, Cal had Cal had an incredible day. An incredible day or incredible season. It just unfortunate the way that it kind of ended up. So, um smooches Austie, I appreciate you. What are you drinking? I just got a Diet Pepsi right now, chat. We might break out some uh a beer or something here in a little bit. But um chat again, as we kind of wrap up the stream here, there there’s going to be a ton of content coming out all offseason long. So if you guys aren’t subscribed, um you know, if you guys do want to see some uh some more Mariners content this off seasonason, be sure to subscribe, like the stream. Uh, but I I truly again we we would not be able to do this without, you know, there’s 344 people in here right now after probably the most devastating loss in Mariners’s history. Truthfully, this is the most devastating loss in Mariners’s history. For this many people to be here, right here, right now, after that loss, it means a lot. It means a ton. The Mariners, this is the beginning of something. This is the beginning of a Mariners dynasty. I truly do believe that. Ah 50 from Yo uh Yoya Dude, loyal Mariners fan from Munos’s hometown. Oh, very cool. I’m staying loyal, but I’m crushed right now. Let’s see what next year brings. I mean, that’s all we can do, right? That’s all we could do. Let’s go. The the Archer Loaf. Did I say that right? The Archer Loaf with the with the sub. I appreciate that. Yeah, I appreciate that. Uh Yo Guy Dude, I hope I said that right as well. Um, but yeah, it’s the I I truly do believe that the Mariners are about to start a dynasty. This team is going to get better and better. It sucks right now. It absolutely [ __ ] sucks right now. But I do think that the Mariners moving forward are going to be a team that’s going to be in the conversation every single year. and and frankly they have been for for the past, you know, four or five years. It’s just a matter of ownership stepping up and the Mariners coaching staff making the right moves and, you know, the GM and whatnot making the right moves. So that that that is truly what I believe. I truly do believe that the Mariners the Mariners window, as Callum just said, is now. And we can we can talk about uh every every you know move that needs to be made if Dan needs to be gone or whatever, but right now I think that we just need to you know kind of think back on the season that was and now we’re not going to be able to watch Mariners baseball for the next five months. That’s the thing that sucks the most. But just think back on the season that was because it was an incredible season. The best one I’ve ever witnessed. And um again having all of you guys be a part of it was just freaking incredible. Chip with the 999. Great show all year, pal, dude. Thank you. Now, the M’s need hitters, uh, consistency, and passionate players. It would be fun to have guys from Seattle on the team next year, like Scooble and Barger. They would have hometown passion. I’m in. Let’s go get Let’s go get Scooble. Kayla, subscribe, Kayla, I appreciate that subscription. Thank you so much. Uh, Kaden with the 499. At least the Seahawks are winning. Smile. I I haven’t looked at the Seahawks game once. I’m not going to lie. I haven’t looked at it once. Uh, but yeah, I mean, go get Scoob. Go get Barger. I’m in. Um, chat, as we land the plane, you know, again, we will we will talk more about whenever the next episode of the podcast comes out. I’m not sure when that’s going to be, but we’ll talk more about kind of what happened and what went wrong for the Mariners in this series in in future episodes. But right now, again, just just look back on the season that was and all the people that were in here today. I truly truly cannot thank you enough for for coming here and supporting us, supporting the team. Um, and you know, all year long you guys have made you guys have made this worth it. Even in after the worst defeat I can remember, you guys made it made it worth it. Uh, Mark with the 1399 can Canadian money. Uh, thank you for the emotional support all season long. Sincerely a Canadian Mariners fan. Mark, big smooches to you, bro. Big smooches. Um, you know, hey, I think that no, nobody would blame you if you hopped on the Blue Jays bandwagon the rest of the way. Nobody would blame you, but I appreciate you. Watch the postgame as a sendoff. I unfortunately I would get banned if I did that. Unless the Mariners start doing a presser. Have they done a presser? We can watch a presser at the end. Uh Alex just subscribed. Alex, I appreciate that. Don’t forget to like the stream as well, chat. Smile. Um yeah, I don’t I don’t know if the Mariners have done done a presser, but and I doubt I don’t know if they will, you know what I mean, after that. So yeah, um I’m probably going to go watch any of the interviews I can find on online. But again, chat, Polo Strike was awful, but the Katino was legit. Yeah, the Kagino was legit. It’s on YouTube already. What? Wait, what is Mariners? If I look up Mariners, uh, if I just go to the Mariners channel, uh, I only see the pregame. Whatever, chat. We’ll, again, this is something that we’ll be able to we’ll be able to talk about. King Five. Yeah, I can’t I don’t want to, um, put on it’s on King Five Seattle’s YouTube. I don’t know if it’s going to like flag the stream if I do that. Um, let me see. Ultimate reality TV. You just never know how it’s going to play out. A lot of Mariners fans were thinking, uh, finally, finally. Um and then Brian picked up right where where George left off and and uh you know gave us a uh a good spot to be in and and um you know after the walk you uh when does this start with this Mariners game seven American League Championship postgame show. This was uh supposed to be a night of celebration, a night of joy but it has turned into a night of frustration, anger. Uh here he is the manager of the Seattle Mars. Watch what Dan has. Start with Ryan in the seventh row. Dan, Dan, you’re you go into the bottom of the seventh. You’re nine outs away from the World Series. Things kind of went right. Can you just walk us through all the pitching decisions there and what led into them? I mean, uh Brian was throwing the ball so well, you know, first of all, George, I thought threw the ball excellent. Brian picked up right where where George left off and and uh you know gave us a uh a good spot to be in and and um you know hoping to get the ground ball which we did but it just found a hole um and then uh you know knew MZ was going to bunt there and and um you know uh Bazardo’s been the guy that’s that’s gotten us through those situations those tight ones especially in the pivot role and um you know that’s that’s where we were going at that point. How much did you consider going to Munoz and why did you like Bazardo better than Munoz in that situation? Well, I mean, I think uh like like we said, Bizardo’s been doing it all season long and has been so consistent at it and um he’s done such a good job all year and uh um you know, we felt really comfortable with him out there the way he’s been throwing the ball, especially in this series and and um you know uh it was a good spot for him. No, it wasn’t. No, it wasn’t. And just what was your message to the team after after take some ownership of what you did? um just to hold up their heads um and and and um you know to understand what kind of a season they had. I mean I know this stings and it there’s no question that it’s going to sting um but the kind of season they had um you know doing things that no team in this organization has ever done um and and you know knocking on the door of a World Series. um all that uh you know it’s it’s it’s due to how hard they’ve worked, how hard they’ve played all season long. Uh all the times they’ve come back, all the times they’ve bounced back. Um it’s a special team in there and um you know uh it’s just uh uh it’s a shame we had to come out on the on the wrong side of this one. And Tyler in the third row um Dan understanding that Bazardo has been great. Um Muno’s not not getting in until after you’d lost the lead. Does that does that stick with you at all? I mean, he he seemed to have a lot of rest. Was great this postseason. Yeah, I mean um you know, you make your decisions and and uh you know, sometimes um uh you know, you have to live and die with it and and uh you know, I think uh again, the way Zardo has thrown the ball all season long, we were comfortable with where we were and um you know, uh it just uh again didn’t didn’t go our way. Adam on your right, too. Dan, you’ve given so much of your career and your life to this organization. You have the perspective that a lot of people don’t. Just what are the emotions now that that it has uh has come to an end here. Um, you know, it’s it’s it’s very very mixed. Um, you know, disappointed, obviously, frustrated. Um, uh, but, you know, incredibly proud of what those guys have done. Um, incredibly proud of what they’ve done all season long. Um and uh that the the team that’s in there uh you know um you just can’t you just can’t say enough good things about the way those guys have played and um you know when when you look at uh you know um the pieces that were added you’re so you’re grateful to to the organization uh to Jerry adjusted for for putting all of it together. Um, you know, just uh it was just a an outstanding season, a great series here. Um, but uh, you know, it’s tough to come up on the short end. Brady on your left. Dan, you guys lost in a similar way in 2000, but then also came back in 2001 and had a great year. Maybe how do you go about kind of processing it and then maybe using it as motivation going into the next season? It’s a great question. Yeah, I mean uh you know I think all of us now have had a taste of of how close we can get and and um you know how good this team can be and um so I think you know uh once you get that um that’s what you’re that’s what you’re shooting for again the next year and and uh you know I know um that will continue to be the goal. That was the goal this year. It will continue to be the goal is to is to get to that final step and um you know this year we we’re one game short. Ryan and then Tyler. Dan, you had traffic on Bieber early, lots of hits off of him, but you just only came away with the handful of runs. Did Were you Did you feel like you were kicking yourself a little bit because you didn’t add on when you had the opportunities to when you had a lot of guys on base? Um, you know, I thought we had some good at bats again today. Um, and and and you know, Julio and and Cal going deep was big. Um, you know, to to give us, you know, some some lift and and and offensively, I thought we you know, we swung the bat pretty well. we just, you know, at times not able to get um like you said the the kind of the lead to open it up, but um you know, where we were with our pitching, you know, usually we’re in a good spot and and um you know, it uh I thought offensively we did the things we needed to do. Tyler and then Daniel with Springer coming up, he’s got such a great October pedigree. Was there any thought to to walking him double play? I mean, it’s it’s a tough call. You know, again, it’s a tough decision. You don’t want to, you know, put that go ahead run at first and and then that also introduces Vlatty into the equation if you don’t get the double play. So, um, you know, uh, again, the way the way we looked at it was, you know, we were going to go at George. Up front your left, Daniel. Dan, was there any consideration to leave Brian in in that moment just given the success that he had against Springer? Maybe even go to Brash or was that off the table just given that he threw so many pitches yesterday? Yeah, I mean I think um you know he had given us you know such a such a good outing there and and uh it was time to turn it over. We thought that you know to to the uh to the leverage guys that are in those situations and and um you know that’s uh that’s what went into that decision far back on your left hand. Annie, was was going to Woo always part of the plan today and um what did you like about bringing him in there in the fifth when he did? Yeah, you know that was a big part. Um, you know, we had hoped that, uh, you know, he was going to be rested and he was and and felt good and, uh, you know, came in, we we thought it was a good spot, um, you know, for him, a good clean inning and and, uh, but you know, he he came in and ball extremely well. Um, and, uh, you know, I thought handled the the lineup very well. A couple last ones. Brady on your left. Dann, you’ve spoken about Cal a lot this year, but kind of just maybe one last thought on on his year as a whole and what he’s meant to his growth to the organization. Yeah, I mean an organizational player, you know, an all-time player and and uh when you look at what he has done, um you know, numbers wise, uh for the organization, uh but in Major League Baseball in general, um you know, setting all-time records, you know, uh for what he did for with his home runs and and again what he does behind the plate and all that he puts into it. um you know, he he’s a guy that uh um you know, you you just love to have on on your team. He’s a guy that you build your organization around and um he is a leader and um you know, he has put together uh an incredible season and and uh yeah, I’m sure there’s more to come. I’ll finish up with Ryan. Dan, like there is uh you look out on the field and over the first six innings when you had the lead, you know, Brian George, two guys you drafted, Cal, a guy you drafted, Julio, a guy that came up from the international system. There’s a lot of homegrown talent. Do you feel like there is a core there with a few, you know, minor additions or tweaks that it’s going to continue this kind of upward trajectory to get back here and maybe go beyond? Yeah, I mean, I think that’s, you know, a testament to the job that, you know, um they have done in the front office. you know, um Jerry, Justin, Andy, uh you know, from from scouting, um and you know, Scott Hunter and and the scouting department that the people they bring in that that how they develop them, um and they get them ready for the big leagues. And and again, it’s it’s a tribute to the to the entire organization and everybody that pours into guys and and uh to to see that many, you know, homegrown players um on the field at one time is is, you know, it’s it’s unique and it’s rare. Um and uh you know these guys have been developed to play in these in these circumstances and they they’ve uh they’ve been able to deliver on on a consistent basis. It’s it’s been uh really good and um you know that’s what that’s kind of what sets you up for the future as you go forward is is um you know their ability to to stay with this organization and and uh continue to do what they’ve been doing. All right, Dan, thanks for everything and great days ahead for the Mariners. Appreciate it. Thank you. Uh Zebie, at at least you understand. Oh, here’s the cat. We’ll watch the cow interview at least. Ze Zie, you get it to an extent. We’ll watch the Cal interview. We’ll watch I think someone said there’s one with Julio as well. Um potent. Yeah. So, we’ll watch the Cal. We’ll watch the Julio interview and then we’ll probably call it there chat. So, let me go here. It has been a fun season thanks to this young man, Cal Raleigh. Here he is meeting with the media after tonight’s tough loss. Uh it just sucks, you know. um hurts. Yeah. Clearly, this is a very emotional time for you and everyone else. Just what’s going through your mind right now? Uh just, you know, think about what we could could have done better, you know. Um uh oh. Uh Johnny, I appreciate the 19. You look back a lot of points in the game. I think you guys follow that truth. um smooches, you know, where you could take advantage of and or even the series and um yeah, so just just disappointed. Yeah, you were waiting in the on decks deck circle or in the hole and I saw you kind of just putting your head down, kind of looking up a little bit. What were you thinking as you were just waiting just a couple batters away waiting for your chance? Yeah, I was just getting ready like every other bat trying to slow it down, calm the breath. So, uh, show you like a another at bat trying to, you know, lock in on what I need needed to do. That’s going to take some time to digest this one, but when you look back at the season as a whole, what are your thoughts on just what this team was able to accomplish to get to this point? Um, I’m super proud of these guys. Uh, it was a great team effort. Uh, love every guy in this room, but ultimately it’s second W. It’s uh you know not what we wanted. Go M’s go Dodgers. Go M go Dodgers. You know I hate to use the word uh failure but it’s a failure. Um and that’s what we expected was to get to a World Series, won a World Series and that’s you know what the bar is and the standard is and you know that’s what we want to hold ourselves accountable to. But um yeah it’s uh it hurts and but I don’t want that to take away from you know like I said I’m proud of the guys in this room. I thought we fought all the way to the end. Um, like I said, it was a great group of guys and I I loved every single one of them. Yo, honestly, we knew that was going to Yeah. I mean, Cal, again, calling this series, this season a failure. I mean, the of the ultimate goal, yes. of the of the ultimate goal. Um then yes, it was a failure of a season, but still a fantastic season in the grand scheme of things just with where um you know the Mariners have been over the past 49 years. So this sucks again. This sucks right now and a failure of a season. I understand the the verbiage there. Just a a rough way for to go about it. Um, let’s watch the Julio interview really quick and then we’ll call it. Here he is right now. Julio Rodriguez. I mean, obviously like it hurts, you know, like we have put so much work and effort throughout this whole year and like, you know, it’s over, you know, but you know, that’s also part of the game too, you know. Do you feel like feeling this emotion right now is ultimately going to kind of help in the end to just know what it takes to get here? To know what it takes to get over this this point? Eric with the 199 I guess that was positive to read do. Sorry, chat. Eric with the 1999. Brutal. Great year, but brutal. I appreciate you guys doing the live streams of videos throughout the season. Dude, Eric, appreciate you for, you know, being a being a homie all season long. Um, and all the love from all of you guys truthfully. Um, it m it makes this a little bit a little bit easier. It’s still a tough pill to swallow, but it makes it a little bit easier when, you know, we have we have the the fan base around us. So, appreciate you, bro. I mean, yeah. I just feel like you don’t expect anything less for for for the team, you know, like after after getting here, after knowing like what we’re capable of, I just feel like there is no less than this for us. Can you just talk about how like just how you feel about this team and just maybe if you’re proud of of the the effort and the work that this team has put in this year? I mean, yeah, so much. So much. I just feel like, you know, we have accomplished things as a team that, you know, they have never that haven’t been done before, you know, like in this team, this franchise, and just like every single guy um put so much work and effort throughout this whole year, you know, dedication, like like literally so much. So, I’m just really proud of everything we have done this year. What’s what’s your message to the fans? Obviously, you know, they’re packing bars in Seattle. They packed up the stadium. Um, cheer you guys on for something that this team had never done in franchise history to get to a game. So, I mean, first of all, thank you. Like, really thank you for all the support, for all the things you guys have done, like all the energy you have brought to the field because, you know, like you guys are really special. You guys are really special and like you definitely show out in this playoff run. Um, and second that like I said earlier, like there is no less expectations for us than this. And you know, we’re like I know it just it just got over, but I know we have something I know we all have something to look forward to next year. There he is. Julio Rodriguez. I mean, oh, okay. Well, I guess we’ll watch Brian Woo. I mean, what more can you say in Julio’s spot right there? Mara with the 50. I’m kicking off the the the 2026 fundraiser for spring training. Mara, I appreciate you. You’re going absolutely insane tonight. Yeah. Um 2026 spring training. I don’t think I’ll be able to do a full month again. That costs way more money than I anticipated, but I do want to go for like two weeks. Um that’s the hope. So yeah, Mara, I appreciate that. The fun the fundraising for spring training starts now. All right, let’s watch Woo. Oh, then we have to watch Gino. All right, we’ll watch. Apologize. It’s you’re together with a group for, you know, as long as we are. and um everything everyone working towards towards one goal you know um for it to to end like this it’s you know it’s heartbreaking to say the least Cal said that he was happy that you you were out there he said there was no one else he’d rather have out there at at that point in the game obviously it was good to see you get at some time in the ALCS do do you agree that it was good for you to be at least a part of the team a part of this ride um Yeah, I mean I’m I’m I’m glad obviously I was able to come back. Um wish I was able to play a bigger a special K with the 999. Uh told Joe this when I saw him with the ALDS, but thank you guys so much for or so much makes the season so much more fun. Okay, going back to throwing up, dude. Appreciate you, Special K. And yeah, it it it truly does. I mean, again, having the and I I feel like I I’ll say this a million more times over the next couple of weeks, but having the community makes this so much more so much more. You’re able to to swallow this one a little bit more so than you would be if you kind of had to deal with this alone. And they say, you know, the best way to deal with it is to be surrounded by people. And that’s kind of what this is in some weird like parasocial way, right? We’re all surrounded by people that love the same thing. And uh that’s what makes it so special. Role um and help the team more than I did, but you know, sports, it’s it’s not always a happy ending. And um you know, you do what you can to make a positive impact in any way you can. Um but you know, it is what it is. You got to live with it. There he is. Brian a lot shorter than I thought it was going to be. All right, let’s listen to Gino. And there was Santa today, but uh we got to keep our our our head up, you know. We have to feel proud of everything we did this year, especi so good with with this with this special group. It’s been awesome for me and uh be part of this this organization for a second time in my career. This time was more special because um we came far and and and we did our best. We got to we have to feel proud. We have to feel happy because this this this season I was very special for everybody for everybody involved on on this organization. We have to feel proud. We have to feel happy. And this is not the end. I I feel like the future for for these organizations is huge and we have to feel comfortable about that. We have to now go home, think about it, and delete it quick. Turn the page quick. It’s going to it’s going to be there for a long time, but it’s time to go home. It’s time to rest. It’s time prepare yourself for next year. Be a dad. Be a husband. Yeah. and be um a good person outside too. And and this going to be in our memory forever. This season was special for me. I feel so happy. I feel so proud of Kaden with the 499. This is the first sad podcast we’ve had in a while. True testament to how phenomenal the team was down the stretch. True. I mean, we didn’t really have a whole lot of uh Mars Anonymous. So, Kaden, you’re completely right. And this team was truly special um down the stretch. So, I appreciate that, bro. I appreciate that. 499. All right, let’s finish up with Gino here. And everything that I brought for this team, I do my best and and this year going to be a special for me for a long time. It’s something that I I feel so proud about it. And uh like I say, now it’s time to go home and and and enjoy the family and be a dad, be a good husband. Is there any way to describe sort of the range of emotions in a game like this and having a 3-1 lead and then you know goes to that 31? I mean the the whole series was like that back and forth back and forth. We play good baseball, they play good baseball today, you know, just, you know, one pitch and and change everything. And uh but like I say, we put everything on on the on the on the field. We do our best and uh we have to feel proud about it. They they they did a really good job late in the game and now they go series. We wish you the best. All right. If you’re feeling like me and you, man. Um, yeah. I mean, the guys kind of hit the nails on the head there, right? I mean, what everything they’re saying, you kind of just have to agree with it. And what more can you do right now than to just move on and get ready for next year? You know, this sucks. Um, but again, we are going to um we’re we’re going to be covering the hell out of this team over the offseason. It’s an exciting time. And again, first uh first and foremost, I want to thank you guys. This last month, chat, that of of our YouTube channel. This last month has been, I believe, I I’m not 100% certain about this. I’ll have to go look. But the most views we’ve ever gotten in the past month in a in a single month. I mean, the most subs, the most revenue, like the channel has has done so much better over the past uh month or so. Um, and it’s because of you guys. It’s because all the people that are, you know, that that join into these streams after the games. That’s something that Joe and I really wanted to do this year is make sure that we were streaming a lot more after games this year. Um, and again, for me, it started all the way back in Arizona in spring training for a month. I I was I was there for a month. It was an incred one of the most incredible months of my life. Um, and I’ll never forget that. And for it to come down to this and for it to end now, it feels like I was just there last week, but it also feels like a millennia ago that I was running into people in spring training that we were in that, you know, that that smelly hotel. Um, I’m going to let this breathe for a little while and then I’m I I do have a video that just kind of of all the um of of everything that happened this year um that I do want to post at some point. But nonetheless, um Joe and I I don’t know when the next podcast is going to be out. I I don’t know what Joe uh Joe’s schedule’s looking like, but you know, what a year. 2025. What a season. Um, and again, I I’m so glad that we all just kind of got to be a part of it together and have everybody kind of cheering for uh for for the same team and pulling the rope the same direction. So, um, yeah, I just appreciate you guys so so much and we’ll get to it. Uh, we’re we’re going to get to so much in the podcast over the next few months. So, got a long off seasonason ahead of us, although I guess shorter than what it is most of the time. Um, but hey, I appreciate you guys. Um, and yeah, I’ll see you guys soon. I probably won’t I maybe I’ll stream after a World Series game at some point. Um, but again, I’m not sure when the next stream will be. Maybe when the Mariners um, you know, make a move or something. But, nonetheless, I appreciate you guys and uh, I’ll talk to you guys very soon. You know, enjoy enjoy the World Series. Um, just enjoy watching some some stress-free baseball and uh, you know, kind of think back on this season because it was a great season nonetheless. But I appreciate you guys. I love you guys and I’ll talk to you soon. Smooches. [Music] Okay.

  1. Jays fan here: the Mariners were awesome. Just an absolute beast to take on. Yes, it sucks to be a Mariners fan right now but if we lost, I'd be okay with the Jays going down to the Mariners. (better then same crap of Yankees or Red Sox or Astros…) Your team is on the map now and how it went down sucked but it was so evenly matched, it was insane. Rest up and see you next year.

  2. It took the Astros 44 years to get to their first World Series, the Angels 42 seasons, the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals 51 years, Mariners 49 seasons as a franchise and are yet to get to the World Series. The M's will get to the World Series eventually. Maybe next year will be the year. Cal Raleigh should be the AL MVP in 2025.

  3. Wish D.Wilson would have walked Springer with 1st open. I like Dan Wilson was a fan favorite at the park, I hope we get a Skipper with more experience for this Team.

  4. I just don’t understand why you don’t walk Springer there with an open base and put the potential double play in motion. Regardless of what pitcher is pitching it doesn’t matter. You walk George Springer there.

  5. I'm a lifelong Mariners fan and I want it just as much as anybody, but gotta be honest, the Blue Jays just looked like the better team during this ALCS. They definitely deserve to make it to the WS. Obviously I wish it was the Mariners, but I'm not too bummed about it. Did anyone expect us to make it this far at the start of the year? Absolutely not. Did they try their hardest anyways and put up a good fight? Absolutely. Both this series and the Tigers one are iconic. There's always the future!

  6. I think they shortened Woo’s interview because the mic picked up some profanity in the background in the original video lol. So proud of our guys for everything they’ve accomplished this season. Thank you, Colton and Joe, for your great podcasts. Hope you guys can rest up now.

  7. Sometimes I Wish I was born somewhere else so I didn't have to care about this team. Unfortunately Griffey had me sleeping with my gear as a toddler I loved this game so much. My first live big league game ever was the 19 inning game in 2000. You bet we stayed the whole game. Went to 15 games that year, they didn't lose one of them. Met tons of players. Played catch with Ichiro and Kazukiro Sasaki. Played at the same complex as Buhners son at a tournament. So many memories. Not one year have I stopped watching. Every year I have some form of "this is the year" conversation with my dad. They're burned into my soul. I don't think I've ever hurt this bad at the end of a season though. Starts to feel like we really might not deserve it. At the very least, it feels like Stanton doesn't think we do.

  8. Game 3 popped our confidence… I think game 5 we got lucky getting out of the 4th bases loaded with no outs. This just sucks, lots of questions.

And why is Smoltzs counting down outs for us in the 7th…. That’s the worst luck thing you can do.

  9. Oh, mariner Mojo seems to run just before the World Series every time HA HA HA, well looks like 1995 playoff disaster, the 1997, playoff disaster, and the 2000 playoff disaster and 2001 116 wins MLB record with no World Series win disaster has come back to haunt the Mariners, the organization, and the fan base ONCE AGAIN. The Mariners are a second-rate tier team that will never win the Pennant EVER. The Mariners were Extremely lucky beating the tigers and really extremely getting to game 7 of the ALCS and that is the story.

  10. Thanks for all the content this year. Thank you for every comment you read of mine, and THANK YOU for being undeniable mariners fans. Love to be with people who love the team and sport as much as me. F YOU DAN!

  11. You guys are amazing at what you do and we love you both! So sorry this hurts, but we're with you. God bless and we'll see you in the offseason!

  12. i was rooting hard for yall im a royals fan but i wanted it for you guys so bad. personally i wouldve pulled woo a inning before or even after the first batter got on i thought they left him in a little too long but thats just the fan in me speaking. you could argue that they should’ve walked springer to load the bases so you could have a double play opportunity but what a great season from you guys and you guys got a unbelievable future ahead of you🙏🏿

  13. Having been to the World Series 4 times and the ALCS 7 times, my October has always been booked solid for postseason baseball. But this was the first October where I had nothing planned. I finished building my Astros themed smoker.

Good try Mermaids, see yall next season

  14. I cannot find the optimism you’re finding for how we’ll look back on this season.

There was a lot of ways this season could’ve ended after winning the division and knocking the Astros out of playoff contention…a lot of ways where it wouldn’t hurt this bad. I could’ve even lived with Vladdy hitting that 3 run homer. Still would’ve hurt, but not as bad as STILL LOSING TO A F***ING ASTRO CHEATING PIECE OF S***.

WE STILL LOST TO THE F**ING ASTROS BASICALLY. THIS S** SUCKS.

  15. 9 outs are long long way to go especially against teams like Blue Jays.
Remember Mariners came back from 7 runs deficit after 6th inning in 2022 wildcard series against Blue Jays.
    That's the baseball.

  16. Please stop propagating this 'one win away from going to the World Series' nonsense. It doesnt matter if it was one win away, it might as well have been 3 wins away. Getting to the ALCS matters, but it doesnt matter if we only got close to making the next series: we didnt. Game 5 of the ALCS is a great moment, but thats all it will be: a moment. It will have no lasting meaning because it didnt get us to the next series. The Double, or Game 5 of the ALDS both have lasting meaning because they advanced the Ms to the next series. Without advancing, those great moments wont have lasting impact. It would have lasting meaning if it were a regular season game, but it wasnt. It was a playoff game and it ultimately didnt contribute to winning the ALCS.

Maybe this is the immediate aftermath talking, but for his own sake, I hope Naylor goes somewhere else. He deserves to be on a team that can make it all the way.

  17. We Texas Rangers fans know exactly how Mariners fans feel right now. It took us 51 years to win our first World Series Championship. That after failing in 2010 and 2011.
