the best way to draw a panther is to look at panthers
I know it sounds stupid, but but the way I came up with drawing the panther was I just looked at a lot of panthers. Well, look, some people describe me as the Florida man, the elusive Florida man. You know, I have an alligator tattoo. I’m Josha. I’m a designer and illustrator. I just I’ve been wanting to work with a Florida franchise for a long time and just been so hyped on being able to do something for the Panthers. I probably spent way too much time working on this. I think I did a bunch of iterations, a bunch of versions, a bunch of colorways. Um, and eventually we kind of landed on uh what you’ll see this week. And the collaboration came about because um I ran into uh someone from the organization. They pitched back maybe a couple months later to do a jersey and I was like, I’m all the way in. But yeah, a big part of my time in Florida is hanging out at the beach. So I wanted to make sure that I included a wave in there. Um and then I wanted to put the panther right next to the beach, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen a panther right next to the beach, but we did it anyways. And I’m I’m just mostly excited to see all the details and the embroidery and how they turned out.
