New career path for Russ?

  1. I think he would be great at that. The moment he stops playing, I’m all the way back on board, so this would be great.

  2. He has done this multiple times over the years.  I remember him all over the talk shows whenever the Hawks has a bye week.

  3. I can’t imagine much worse than watching him kiss everyone’s ass on TV. No thanks

  4. Why do they always pick the players I want to hear from the least to have the largest voice as commentators?

  5. I’m here for it. He has always been thoughtful, insightful and passionate. All the corny stuff he says will play really well in the booth.

  6. He’s a really well spoken, smart guy with experience. If he can get some solid media training, he could have a long career in the booth.

  7. I’ve got low confidence that Russ can be an engaging analyst. He’s got field IQ from playing forever, but tv analyst? I dunno. He’s got the personality and charisma of a glossy eyed overly smiling subway cutout.

  8. Analysis should be interesting since he never got great at reading the defense

  9. If Russ hasnt lost one thing, its his ability to talk. So I think he would be good at this!

  10. I’d love to see it. Give me my favorite QB I’ve ever watched and not hoe ass Brady sometimes.

  11. You can say what you want about Russ, but at least he’s not going to lose his mind and get stabbed multiple times by some senior citizen fighting for his life in a back alley somewhere.

  12. He’s a solid verbal communicator when he isn’t spouting cheesy platitudes and stuttering. I could see this being a great route for him.
