Chris Paul makes zero sense for us. We shouldn’t be on any list, much less a favorite to land him. Is this just a garbage betting site or what is going on here?

  1. Honestly, I dont hate it. Lonzo hasn’t been great and is TOO willing to shoot the ball. CP3 very, very easily could fill DG’s passing role why he continues to get healthy, allowing the ball movement and the big’s involvement to increase.

Obv we don’t have much in terms of cap room, but I would be more than happy to get him for a vet min and see what happens.

  2. My only issue because I don’t mind veteran presence and I don’t mind someone to get on the young guys for lack of effort, professionalism etc etc.

Generally everywhere CP3 has been, his leadership is invaluable. Hasn’t gotten him a championship but lockerooms need CP3 leadership.

Biggest problem is who do you cut time/trade away/move to g league in order to create space.

  3. I think the rationale is that we obviously have talent, driven young players, and a proven ability to at least win a bunch of regular season games when healthy. CP3 was bad for vibes in LA, which is cause for concern, but our environment is different. Those betting odds are because people think he could be the locker room presence we need to straighten out our sloppy play.

Whether that’s true or not is, of course, the question.

  4. He’d be a great influence on DG. I’d want him. He’s been good for every team he’s been on except the Aspiration Clippers. New NBA fans are extremely ignorant lol

  5. I don’t see him hitting the court on our roster. He could play the Big Perk role of bitching out youngins, but I don’t think he makes any sense for us. If you’re going to go for a vet, find an old enforcer with a few hard fouls left in him.

Edit: Where’s that jailbird who played for Indy last year?

  6. Chris Paul makes sense, we desperately need a backup PG…I like CPJ but he’s a combo guard

We’ve been playing Donovan hero-ball ever since DG reinjured his toe, it’s not a winning strategy

  7. I can’t think of anyone I’d want to let go to get him, but if we can just pick him up then maybe. Ball can’t hit 3’s, but I think he’s hit more of a rhythm with the rest of the team on his passing and his defense has looked great at times this season. Is 2025 Chris Paul an improvement on that? I’m genuinely asking, I haven’t watched him play.

  8. I wouldn’t mind it. This team could use veteran presence in the locker room to straighten some things out. I think he could help DG a lot too. If he wants to come on a vet min I don’t see why not.

But if I’m CP3 why the hell would I spend my last season here. I’m sure he’s getting interest from more attractive teams.

  9. I agree from on-the-court perspective.

But off the court, Chris Paul is exactly what this team needs to get the bitchassness out off em

  10. An assistant coach that you can bench the point guards for when they’re playing like shit. Why not?

  11. He’ll take this team right to the top, like Shaq, Rondo, Derrick Rose, Deron Williams, and Dwayne Wade did.

Maybe I’m forgetting someone, but I think Nate Thurmond was the last star the Cavs got late in his career that was a difference maker.
