  5. If Kilby hits the way a lot of scouts are saying he’s shown in camp then he may be the best hitting prospect we’ve had probably since Sanchez, Frazier, Gleyber, etc in terms of pure hitters. That’s how advanced scouts are saying the bat is which it seems like a lot of the scouts missed in the pre draft process which is normal for kids like this who are not from baseball powerhouses.

    There’s an extremely realistic chance that Dominguez and Jones get traded this year to acquire Skubal.

  13. I’m happy for Kilby that his stock is rising. Ordinarily I’m in favor of developing these young prospects but Kilbys weak throwing arm limits him to the right side of the infield, probably 2B when the Yankees biggest need of the medium term is at 3B.

    I feel like the Yankees would be better served by trading Kilby to the Rockies with some SP prospects for their #1 prospect Ethan Holliday. Holliday is a big 6’4″ lefty with plus plus power and a high ceiling. His power in YS would be devastating and his throwing arm is strong enough that he could be converted from SS to 3B with few problems. If the Yankees could make this move soon they could plan on Holliday taking over for RyMac when his contract runs out in a couple of years.
