The Phoenix Suns Have A Secret They Aren’t Telling You About…
Yo, what is going on, guys? Welcome back to a brand new video, and today we’re going to be discussing the Phoenix Suns potential secret weapon. Now, this is a guy that hasn’t recorded a lot of minutes, but when he’s on the court, he’s making an impact. That guy is Jamari Bouier. Let’s get into it. [Music] Worldwide. All right, guys. So before we get into this, just some, you know, quick get to know Jamari Buouier stats on the season. So far with the Phoenix Suns, you know, just recently came here in a two-way contract. Um, at the time of the Jamari Buouier signing, the Suns were actually looking at a couple guards from what I was told. Um, I’m going to, you know, leave those guys remain nameless. But so far in the season, you know, with some very minimal impact, but there’s some there’s some sides and some spark that have really intrigued me so far with Jamari Bouier. but six points, averaging one rebound, 1.5 assist, 60% from the field, and 58% from three. Now, he’s really only had an impact in the last four games due to injuries. And, you know, it’s kind of the main reason that he picked him up in the first place, but in the recent game, seven points, five assist, and three steals against the LA Lakers. Um, and the loss against Denver, you know, three points, two boards, three assist. That was in a 15-minute, you know, period for him. Um, but it’s really the first two games that Jamari, you know, really got some impactful minutes for us that really stands out to me. Um, in the Sacramento game where he like officially made his like Phoenix Suns debut outside of the garbage minutes. Um, 11 points and one board in Sacramento on a dub. I think that was an NBA cup game. And then he also played in the cup game versus OKC where once again we were short guards. And that’s, you know, once again the main reason he’s here in Phoenix is to just kind of be a depth piece. Um, but yeah, nine points, two boards on the NBA champs. Like, he’s really been impactful. Um, and I mean, he’s shooting the ball at a clip. That’s really good. Um, 26 years of age, you know, he’s been in the league four years. He’s been between the G-League and, you know, some NBA affiliates as well. So, you know, it’s just kind of finding his place and, you know, maybe he can be that spark. You know, he’s undersized for an NBA player. you know, 6’2, 180. That is kind of small, especially for a guard in today’s NBA, which is kind of crazy. Um, I guess, uh, according to ESPN, this is technically his second season in the NBA, but he was undrafted in 2022, but like I said, he’s spent some time between NBA teams and, you know, their G-League affiliates. And, you know, here is in Phoenix, man. Six games played, averaging 12 minutes, 60 60% from the field is what ESPN is saying, 58% from three. Like that’s pretty good, especially for a guy that is coming off the bench and is in a really awkward role, isn’t getting consistent minutes, and when he’s on the court, he’s making an impact. And one thing, you know, that has really just made like a spark to me about this guy. It isn’t so much about his scoring ability, it’s how composed he looks on the court. He is very confident for a guy that has been bouncing out of the GLeague and between NBA teams. Like this is a guy that, you know, God didn’t really give him the height advantage. I think he was a little bit taller. He would definitely be in an NBA roster. But, you know, he’s kind of been like a spark, man. He’s kind of a wild card. And I think he’s definitely put a lot of teams on notice. Um, and not like he’s going off for 20 points, but I think if he really could, he would. Like, I think it’s a very doable thing for this guy. I like him. Um, I’m just excited to see what this, you know, what his role is with the Phoenix Suns, man. You know, I didn’t really know much about his game or really much about him. You know, I know of I knew of him obviously from watching basketball and stuff, but I didn’t know what he could really bring to an NBA team. So, this is for you guys as well. You know, we’ve only seen the games, but kind of watching the stuff back is nice to see as well. Um, so yeah, we’re going to watch three games of highlights. We’re going to watch, I believe, the Sacramento game here, the OKC game, and then the last recent game against the Lakers. So, that being said, man, let’s get into the highlights. Glass speed kicks it to him. Corner three. Like, this is what I’m saying. Now, this is going to be like maybe kind of glazing away, but there’s just no hesitation here. A lot of guys in this situation, especially coming off the bench to the Phoenix Suns or just any NBA team in general, this is wide open, but he takes his time, doesn’t rush the shot at all. A lot of guys would rush this and it would not be a good shot. It would be a brick. Bouet takes his time. He’s composed. Lavine close out. Bang. Great shot. Amazing. He’s also a pretty decent defender from what I’ve heard for his size. I believe there’s like a whole highlight reel of just him Milwaukee playing defense from what I saw on YouTube. So like like I said, got the steel transition. Booya with the slam. Like there’s just no hesitation with this game, man. This guy’s hungry. He wants to make a spot in the league once again. No hesitation. Keegan Murray with the close out, but like no hesitation, man. He’s very confident. like that’s something that you don’t see with a lot of guys that come up from the G-League. Um especially when they’re asked to be making an impact for a team that is kind of short-handed. Um Gillespie coming off the screen here hits Buay in the corner once again. Fairly open, takes his time, puts up the shot. Bang. This is simple stuff. It’s small stuff like this, but it’s impactful stuff. Drosa throws up the shot, gets the rebound. Once again, pretty short highlight reel from what I’m seeing here. But once again, Bouet wide open. Not even on NBA team scouting reports. Once again, you know, two-way contract. Don’t like a lot of teams aren’t really familiar with what he can do, but just confident in that shot, man. Wide open. Bang. Rice finds Bouet. Once again, dude, they’re leaving this guy wide open in this game. Look at this. Wide open. This is a dream shot for a lot of NBA players to be this open. Does miss. Still good luck though. Still a good look getting into the next game here. This is verse to OKC Thunder in NBA Cup game. Very close game. I think Phoenix has really made OKC work for their money. Um, you know, with a team that’s only lost one game, I think the Suns were definitely the hardest fought one besides the, you know, the game they lost to Portland. But once again here, Bouier, very confident, composed, goes up, easy layup. Like you don’t see this from a lot of guys that come out from the G-League. Like a lot of guys are very hesitant, very passive, looking just to make the right play opposed to just being aggressive. Once again, Bouet gets the steal. And we get a Booya slam, man. Take him to the broom. Like this is it’s simple stuff like this is he’s not doing anything crazy. Oso in the paint. Finds Bouet. Get someone with a little hesy here. Little pump fake. Little little I might I might shoot this, but I’m not going to. Scoop right past him. Drives to the paint. Right up on Jaylen Whims. Man, Jaylen Whims is a very good defender. A guy that’s boy got four to five inches on Jamari Buouay. Like using the bank as well. Like this is this is a buck. This is a buck, man. Once again here. Like he’s very confident, composed. Even though he’s gonna miss this, just, you know, you can tell by the text on top of the screen here. Like he’s just very composed. Like that’s been a very impressive thing for me. And I might be gassing him up a little bit here, but like like he’s just he’s a guy that could be a spark plug. Like he’s very interesting. He’s very intriguing. Like I said, I would like to see him get minutes with the Valley Suns. Um, but with the impact he’s made on the Suns so far in the regular roster, like he’s been very exciting to watch. Um, once again, Alex Caruso, great defender in the corner. Arguably one of the worst spots to have the basketball is in that deep corner. What does Blue Day, what does he say? Get the [ __ ] off me. Pull up. Bang. On the Carus show, man. Like, what Glee dude is doing that? Like this is tough. Like I’m I’m serious, man. This is a tough bucket. All right, guys. Very last game, the most recent one against the LA Lakers where the Suns absolutely blew out the Lakers, man. Like they absolutely took them to town. But from what I’ve seen so far, like we there’s not enough to like see game tapewise on him, but like what you’ve seen in like the little 30 seconds to minute clips, it’s very impactful stuff. Um obviously there a lot of wide open shots. Um, but just like the take on Jaylen Williams, getting the offensive boards, fighting for it, like the the bucket on Caruso in the deep corner, like that’s a very tough shot. And just coming up from the G- League, coming to the Suns, you know, like it’s a rhythm thing as well. A guy that was playing like 3 minutes in the six games in the first couple games that he had with the Suns and now he’s playing 15 uh 12 to 15 minutes. Like that’s a huge adjustment, especially in the NBA. And the fact that, you know, he’s fighting, man, like he’s hooping. He’s getting minutes in the second quarter of an NBA game. That’s coming up from the Gulie game. Tough layup. This is a tough layup, man. Look at this. Booyah. Look at that. LeBron James chasing him down. Don’t connect. Gave Vincent following trailing. That’s a tough layup. Like a lot of G-League guys either aren’t going to make that for one or are either going to kick that out because they’re not confident with that take. Like there’s a lot of things that they’re going to do differently. Um Jamari Bouier step back Austin Reeves bane like dude I’m serious. This guy can be a genuine like rotational piece for an NBA team whether it’s here in Phoenix you know deep roster like once we get Grayson and those guys back. I know he’s on a two-way contract but I would generally like to see him get more run with the Valley Suns. I know with the Sky Force he was balling. I’ve seen him go play a couple times in person. Um but once again like getting a steal on Luca man turns into a Mark Williams slam. Like it’s little things like this. Once again Luca Booay gets the steel in transition kicks it out. Dylan Brooks bucket. like it’s not once once again I’ve I read it like I’m I’ve said this millions of times but it’s not crazy things that he’s doing but it’s the minimal things that are making impacts for the Phoenix Suns like it’s not crazy like breathtaking things but it’s just the little things and that’s the stuff that I really appreciate as NBA fan anchor and I guess analytical guy as well but like good board Lakers once again sloppy basketball Um yeah, Jamari Bouya gave Vincent on him. What’s he going to do? Oh, so we get our screen kicks out to Dylan Brooks here. Dylan Brooks on that heater. Bang. Like he’s making good passes. He’s just he’s making the right plays even if they don’t generate into points like Boo taking it up. Man, that was goalending. Yeah, that was a play that Aiden kind of got scuffled there, but took it up on LeBron and DeAndre Eaton. Like that’s a very tough basket. Austin Reeves loses the ball. Jamari Buouie steal. What’s that generate into a Bouet oh also slam. See here Royce O’Neal has the ball. Finds Buy in the corner. Bouet pump fake drives. Kicks out the Kong Gillespie who also had a heater. Gillespie corner three. Bang. Like just making good basketball players. Like I would be genuinely interested to see what his role could be here on the Phoenix Suns. But with that being said, guys, thank you so much for watching this video. I appreciate you guys tuning in. Road to 1K is it’s it’s here. We’re right here. Road to 1,00 subscribers. I'm trippin on why he was even in the G league. If he plays like this consistently he's a good player on any roster, even a starter on some teams. He has a really good handle, he can shoot, he's a pesky defender, good passer. I feel like he is one of our most well rounded players, IF he always plays like this. I hope this is just how he is able to play consistently. (hard to say since we don't know a lot about him). I'm loving what I'm seeing from him so far.
He reminds me of Barbosa.
He plays unselfish and nimble like a gazelle on the fast break!! I like him
