They can use the disabled player clause. I think itβd add huge moral equity to the culture of the team. May make players be willing to sign for less just to be apart of the culture of OKC. Imagine giving him a proper send off and potentially a chip. I think the marketing alone would be invaluable.
Resigning Paul to give him a proper send off would be perfect. Rub more salt to the LAC wound π
Personally Iβd love if we picked him up and gave him a proper send off and hopefully with a chip
It's the same kind of thing with Russ. I would actually love a scenario wherein we brought Russ or CP3 back in a rotational role and get those guys are ring. I would absolutely love that. HOWEVER, as the title suggests it just doesn't make any sense for OKC as a basketball team. Neither of them in their current form fit our team and to be honest, I don't think either at this stage in their careers is actually good enough to be on OKC's current roster. If we were a young team looking to find an identity than MAYBE it would make more sense, but we have an identity. This would be at best a distraction and at worst could ruin the culture/chemistry they've already built. I love CP3 and I love Russ, but this ship has unfortunately sailed.
I was always a big Jeremy Lamb fan.
J Lamb in the building, nice ππΌ
Anybody that thinks the thunder wants Chris Paul's old antique ass back has no idea what you're talking about so why waste your time even talking about it they don't need his old antique ass he's a washed up has been just like Russell Westbrook maybe he should go back to New Orleans the team that originally drafted him
No we don't need him we have plenty
The Thunder have bigger and more important player development targeted.
Chris Paul career high is 43. Jeremy lamb just be saying whatever. βHe scored 61 for his grandpaβπ
That's why I love Jeremy being on the show he's a former player that's been there n done it with some of our good teams of the early 10s love having a former Thunder players thoughts and opinions π π Thunder βοΈ up fam we can really be historic this year breaking that record but more importantly Back2Back in the age of parity would be something π
