The NBA just fined the Cleveland Cavaliers for sitting Darius Garland. #clevelandcavaliersnews
So, the NBA really just fined the Cleveland Cavaliers $250,000 for violating leaks player participation policy. This is not the first time that we have seen this happen to the Cavs this year, which is why I’m assuming that the fine is so high. The league’s investigation confirmed that Darius Garland, a star player under the policy, was able to play in one of the teams two games on November 23rd against the LA Clippers and November 24th against the Toronto Raptors. The violation occurred when the Cavaliers failed to make Garland available for the team’s nationally televised game on November 24th and instead made him available on November 23rd, which was not a nationally televised game. Listen, honestly, right now I do not care about these fines. I care much more about the health of one Darius Canard Garland. I think above all else, that’s what most Cash fans care about. So, as long as these fines keep rolling in, I’m sure that again Dan Gilbert and company are more than happy to pay them. It’s just funny to see these racking up as we’ve seen injuries just kind of they’ve been spiking, man. They’ve been absolutely spiking. So, and I understand that the NBA is trying to do everything within its power to get these star players out there, but clearly this man is dealing with an injury. So, it just cracks me up. Let me know what you guys think.

Is it time to hit the panic button?!
Things canβt get worse π
Made him available the day before?
What is the league's criteria defining what players are stars and what players are ok to rest?
That's petty, they know buddy coming off a crazy injury.
Good
They screwed them over by making them play the most games and the most B2Bs in the league then fined them when they sit the injured players.
The fine was stupid imho
This is another indication of this organization being slightly unorganized.
The rules are written for all to see, if they truly have a plan they would work within the rules to enact it.
But they are not, their Coaching staff is flying by the seat of their pants and they need to get organized or bring in someone who can help organize.
If not for the fact that I like what Lonzo Ball could bring if used properly, the idea of CP3 as a player-coach would hold some interest for me

Edit:
Not to replace Coach Atkinson, but to help bring some experience to the process, either that or bring on a former HC as an Assistant
Money those fuckers make they should play every damn game hurt or not
Is injury management not acceptable? Can he hoot ramp up to being a full time player? This season sucks.
I have to say as a fan of this team for 33 years I don't have any real expectations for winning. The players dont take the game serious or the coaches. Idk why we have the highest payroll. And the best we can do is second round. Blow it up already I'm done with these dudes and their excuses.
So if a player gets hurt does the league compensate the team?
So they let Kawhi, PG, Embiid, and the Warriors pull this crap for years and now they want to start fining the Cavs? π
Hope cavs can appeal the fine and show the obvious reasons to protect DG from further, from further injury. 100% legit reason to hold him out.
