We have had one outdoor* game in our history. When will we get another turn?

  1. Because unfortunately starting the “Pacific Northwest Rivalry” with a Canucks-Kraken game at the Seahawks stadium makes too much sense for the NHL.

  2. This is definitely starting to feel fishy, now.

With 7 teams, and 14 years since the last appearance. We should have been featured in one two times over by now.

  3. Can’t even get a practice facility dawg, where are you getting a suitable outdoor rink?

  4. *The 2014 Heritage Classic was held indoors because of weather.

Also the game where Torts benched Lu in favour of Eddie, which was probably the last straw in the former getting traded back to Florida

God, this team is the Hans Moleman of the league.

  5. The Canucks haven’t been consistently competitive for a decade, we’re not an Original Six team, and the only real rivalry we have anymore is with the Draft where we’ve lost every time. We were consistently competitive up until 2014, when we got the Heritage Classic.

  6. The Habs are a more marketable choice right now.

I still don’t get how Francesco does not see how his decisions have cost him tens of millions. Away teams get a split of the revenue for this

  7. The last time we had one it forced our hand into trading the best goalie we have ever had.

  8. Our best chance was the 2024 Winter Classic against the Kraken. Local rivalry, rich history with the Metropolitans vs. Millionaires, and the jersey would have been amazing. But the league bent over for the Vegas Stripperglitters.

So until the Canucks are a CONSISTENT contender for 5 years (like the Panthers were before getting this year’s WC), they aren’t heading outside.

  9. This franchise deserves nothing with how it’s handling itself.

Until we are no longer a joke we can do the fun things

  10. Honestly, I don’t mind it being in places you can have outdoor ice. Vancouver doesn’t have that but it would be nice to be the challenger

  11. The Game in BC place was terrible. Brutal/Non existent sight lines. I had essentially front row seats and felt ripped off. Also Torts benched Lou(POS move given the hype around the game). Also they had the roof closed. Nothing about the game was outdoors. Literally was a sh*t show to watch.

  12. Honestly, if and when the Lions and/or Whitecaps get a True outdoor stadium. Or if MLB somehow puts a team in Vancouver.

  13. Rebuild and be competitive. Will get outdoor games then. Oh and be fun to actually watch.
