If we’re truly having the Quinn conversation, can we move valuable assets to bandaid Jack and Pesce’s injuries?
I understand we aren’t looking hot but this is low key crazy talk, we are 3-5 points away from 1st place in the division despite our setbacks.
Need another scorer with Hughes. Same story when Hughes goes down, team struggles. Need another scorer otherwise the season is lost

Remember in the summer when Fitz said the same team wouldn’t be returning next year?
Well, Dadanov sounds like he might be done long term, and Brown is a great addition but he’s not swinging the pendulum by himself. So …. where is this new retooled team Fitz was going to bring in?
The team is running an AHL fourth line and an AHL 3rd defensive pair. Is that what he meant?
It’s unrealistic to say “when the team gets healthy ….” because no team is ever completely healthy. The Devils need to be able to compete when a few guys go down.
People who say its too early to talk like this aren’t paying attention. Jack is out for at least another month. Meanwhile, we now dropped to the 2nd WC spot and the other Metro teams continue to rack up points. Rangers, Isles, Jackets, Pens all won tonight again. We just lost to the Jackets and Flyers and we haven’t looked great against teams like the Wings or Blues either. Have you looked at the graphic showing our stats with Jack out? Its legit horrifying. Don’t do something soon and this can easily look like a repeat of 23-24…
Flannery does not call on Fitz to make a move. She instead says that Devils fans deserve a GM that will make the right move. That is a subtle but important distinction.
She does this after explaining that Fitz is responsible for remaking the roster, that the roster he built craters whenever Hughes is out, and that, more generally, his roster has major problems.
Make no mistake, this is the first article questioning the viability of Fitzgerald as the Devils’ GM.

So genuinely asking, what trades could be made to upgrade the team?
We’re one elite scorer away from being great (at least w Jack, Kovy and Pesce healthy). Dougie and Palat’s $15m would be incredible to have at our disposal.
