I want to start a little game for the offseason. Every day, there will be a thread on the chart above. Most liked comment wins.

Today is a person with the Mets who started off loved and ended off loved.

  1. All I know is that if Tom Glavine doesn’t win Divisive /Hated or Hated/Hated then idk

  2. I’ve never heard anyway use the term “ended off” and it’s really bothering me for some reason

  3. Started off / ended off has to be David Wright.

Fans loved him from the start and he produced, and nobody had a more tearful goodbye than Wright.

  4. It’s very hard to think anyone competes for Box 1 with Gil Hodges.

If you don’t know the story I urge you to take the time to brush up on his significance to this franchise & the impact he had on Mets from his joining (he hit the first HR in franchise history in 1962 ) till his tragic death during spring training (after winning first Mets World Series in 1969 as manager).. the love in his Mets run by the fans, community from first to last day in blue & orange setting the foundation is hard to replicate

  5. David Wright/Jose Reyes (off field issues)/Javy Baez (with a new level of hate this year considering PCA’s performance)

  6. I think Wright is the correct answer—at least since 2000. But Joe McEwing would be a fun one.

  7. Love these. I ran a similar one last season and it was a blast. Be prepared for people to bitch at you about silly things though. Just ignore them and have fun with it.
