NHL Highlights | Maple Leafs vs. Hurricanes – December 4, 2025
Sunday against Calgary. It’ll be his 700th NHL game played when he jumps over the boards. And here we go. The stall line starts it off and they’ll win the draw. Martin into the zone with it. Got to be knocked away. Good effective stick there by Shawn Walker. Well, that’s the skating ability that Walker uses that I mentioned with Shane Gosses Bear to defend, have those tight gaps. Toronto will approach the Kane. The check comes through the score. Bobby McMahon let it go. It rang off the post and banked in off of Frederick Anderson and trickled over the goal line. Well, the Leafs created numbers in the neutral zone. It was a threeon two and found a soft area. McMahon did before Stan Kovven could adjust and try to tie up his stick. And the shot in a perfect shooting position goes off the short side blocker side post and off the backside of Anderson. Anderson nearly recovers, but the puck had already completely crossed the goal line. Gostas bear across scene. Little one touch for Chatfield. Back for Gostas bear waiting for net front. It’s there. Wall makes the save. Juggles it and then he’ll get a whistle. Nestro that crosser. Now a chance for Janowski. Back up top. Riley. He’s got some room, but that’ll be absorbed by Wall. He’ll get a whistle. A shot through that knockdown out in front. McMahon looking for it. Rebound comes free. Riley with a shot. There’s Anderson at the top of his crease. He’ll make the save and hang on. But especially him. Jerry racing in the bouncing puck. Gets to it and slaps him right on it. Wool. Has to be Johnny on the spot to get in front of that. Goss barrel. Keep it in. Able to find AO. AO respama shot from behind the net. And Wool will knock that one down and get a whistle. Riley with a good job of knocking it down up for Eers. Eers slides this one through. Blake looking for Stankov out in front. He’s hauled down. Scott Watton and that goes over the Kane’s net. Carolina looking to clear. Another opportunity to keep in as Ster with it right on. And that’ll be frozen there by Anderson. Second game back as he played Sunday against Calgary. Halfway through this first period. Doing with it. This one will roll through. Anderson will kick it away. A little too far. That’ll be knocked out. Stetcher clears the line, but sent right back in. Good work by Aaho on the wall. Fetchnikov out in front for Jarvis. A second chance. Oh, wall. Been really good early. You know, Carolina is dedicated to getting a puck deep. They’ve got two waves to go in there and retrieve it. And Wall makes two really good saves on center. Kane Stankov trying to get this through. Another opportunity there. And Meyers will clear this one out. And this one takes a buggy bounce out in front to score. Hits the stench and it was going to go around the boards but bounces right out in front of Frederick Anderson and Scott Lton. Johnny on the spot knocks it home. It’s two nothing. When it rains it pours for a goalender. Frederick Anderson this puck up on the glass. He did everything right. He stayed home. didn’t try to chase getting back to a puck when it’s up on the glass and it hits the stansion. He looks he’s not able to locate where it’s going to come out to the middle of the rink in a scoring position from the stansion and Laden makes no mistake. AO comes out for the extra attacker. Anderson on the bench. AO he finds Fetchnikov in strike. Tries the blocker side. Save made by Wool. He comes off the ice and Jackson Blake joins this group. Suspension with it. Survey snaps a shut right on and W makes the save again. Blake trying to thread the needle. Deflected but kept in by Gostasar. Blake fetchnikov snaps one right on but into the crest of Wall. Wheelers forcing the issue here. Walker lets a shot go with traffic but Wall sees enough and he’ll hang on with 3 seconds left in the penalty to Austin Matthews. Matthews trying to feed this down low. does for Lawrence. Return Larson deflected out in front. Anderson had to be flexible to make the save there. Now knander watch. He’ll get to Matthews. That shot is ripped just wide and Anderson seen enough. He’ll get a whistle. I do not know how high his ceiling can be. Yeah. When I genuinely look at how he’s played the position. Seven one and0 on the season so far. The big reason why the Canes are tops near the top of the division. Now Gossburg gets it across. They score. Seth Jarvis. A little connect the dots. And Seth Jarvis’s 16th of the year has got the Canes within one. Fetchnikov, I mentioned it earlier, ever been going in this game. Misplayed puck and you you lose a wheel at the Carolina blue line. Shane Gosses Bear does it again. He jumps in to create numbers and makes an allworld no look pass. Au just gives Gosses Bear a chance. And how on earth chain Gosses Bear and it bounces but they took advantage of him. Built a two nothing lead. Carolina just got into it now. A good play there as almost another bounce. Found Matthews and out in front of again will get a deflection. Anderson around the boards and Orange takes a bump and now Martinook with it. Good backtracking there by Nicholas Robertson. The brother of the stars, Jason Robertson. Now a turnover out in front. Terry’s there. This will be worked back. Gostas Bear with it. He’ll hand it for Blake. Blake back for Gostas Bear. Kane’s keeping some tired penalty killers on the ice here for the Leaf shot for Gostas Bear. But Wall sees it. He loves being in Carolina. It’s a deal that works extremely well for the Carolina Hurricanes in particular. Aside from being one of the Kanees trailing two to one but early portion of the second period here the chance for Nestrom still looking for his first NHL goal. Good stick there by Jarvis. AO with it keeping the Leafs pinned in. Gostas Bear’s shot doesn’t get through. Second chance to keep in. Deflected away. Ny going as Gostas Bear loses his stick. AO comes through and N scores on the back hand. What an effort by Matthew Ny and the Leafs take a 3-1 lead at the offensive blue line. Gosses bear lost it. Okay, so that puts you in a tough position. Then N somehow goes down but maintains his balance and finishes this incredible individual effort. This, I would say, is a save you’ve got to have because he’s on his backand. You can either a as the Leafs get this one through. Chance for McCabe. Goes wide. And now Toronto can turn it back up. Chance for Tvaris. That’ll be blocked. Good shove there by Spetchnikov. Still gets loose. Backhand trickles through. Somehow stays out. Save at a time if you’re Anderson. He just had two good ones. Blocker locates with his eyes. And then the really good rebound save on Knander. So two building block moments. And then with his stick, Ster tries to seal him there. Matthews comes to help out. Bouncy puck to McCabe. Kanees will force the turnover. Martin Nook hanging on. Martin Nook’s pass though. Intercepted by Nice. Outstanding defensive play. Now the Leafs trying to get a threeon two going. Doy across Matthews. He scores. Well, they broke out from their own end in Austin Matthews. It creates numbers. Austin Matthews is on the ice. So, I don’t think you want to try. The key here is can you get one early? Because if you get one early with the trends, Toronto’s going to say, “Oh, here we go again.” And the Hurricanes with their recent third period success, they’re going to say, “Here we go again.” First one’s the key. Blake wants to help it around for Eers. Nicely done by Nikolai. Eers off for Blake. Settles. Waits out in front and Hillby makes the save. At the same time, the Leafs, they want to add to the lead, but they’ll take some time off of this as Matthews gets a shot through. Rebound out in front and Anderson will use the glove to catch it as he takes it away from Tvaris. Tvaris starts it all. Matthews has Freddy moving one way, shoots it the other. Freddy makes that save and then now Shane Gstas bear looking for any kind of room. Go side of the net. Turn out now. Charis pass in front looking for Stall. That’ll be knocked away. Munch Hill to be in his movement here. Slightly attacks and Stall’s skate stayed on the ice the entire time. So even though there was intent, I think that would have been a good goal because of the fact that he just turned his skate, redirected it. Little flip by Walker. Riley trying to clear. Puck is pawed down legally. now finds Nick Wahwah up for McMahon. McMahon watched by Gostas Bear. McMahon scores shielding Shane Gostas Bear in his second of the game. True. McMahon started the scoring early in this hockey game and he’s ended the scoring if it stays the way that it is. He was a huge part of Toronto having a really good start in route to a victory Tuesday in Florida. the team that eliminated the Maple Leafs in game seven. Tally stankovven with it with 5 seconds left. He’ll fire one wide of Hilde who let’s not forget the job he did. He came into this game in the third period.
Bobby McMann scored two goals while Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies also added tallies of their own as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 5-1.

As soon as the leafs see light, woll gets hurt😢😢
Why did woll leave?
……….WOW !!!!…….. Canada CHOKEST MF pathetic franchise Toronto Maple Queefs aka Toronto Make Me Laughs 1967 FOREVER CHOKING…………….
Whooooo!!!!! Canada’s team wins again!!! In what looked like the easiest game so far!! Parade back on!! Get them floats ready!!! 😁
Great game by the entire team. Hope Woll isn't out too long. Congrats to: Knies for an incredible overall game, Domi and Matthews on their goal and plays, and of course, Nylander for all the defensive puck watching including on the only goal against. It doesn't get any easier going forward, especially with your starter and back up now out. Lets hope for the best
2:52 WTF – lmao – "and this one takes a fvcking bounce out in front, they'll score!"
В последним дни плохое качество роликов
Love the leafs hate leaf fans, worst in the league
Matthews is a great captain, goalies will find their rhythm, defense will find their game and we will get playoff hockey this season and will go further then we did last season
Did Toronto score another first shot?
Might I state that in the last 3 games the Leafs have outscored their opponents 16 – 4? That is ridiculous! In 3 games the Leafs have completely changed! These are the true Leafs that everyone wanted to see!
I cant stand commentary these days because they seem more interested in telling stories and talking stats for half the game instead of doing play by play. But the US commentary is just as bad for different reasons. They're all just such home fans that they just sound like they know nothing about the game. All jack Edwards wannabes. 😅
7:45 watch how knies defends, Awesome lol!
Wtf kinda crack is Willy smokin???
Why so many empty seats?
stringing together some wins, woll has had some great appearances lately
Canes..🤦♂️🤬
I know his NHL skill set is limited but I really like Bobby McMann
At 1:45, what happens if the goalie as he's doinga sliding stop, actually slide in the forbidden zone whre they can't play the puck ?
Great goal by Knies!
Ranking is now 20/32.
It's hard to predict what will happen from here on out, but I'm prepared for boring season where miss playoffs and 1st round pick doesn't return.
Knies' skills were impressive. Still losing in SOG, and worried about Woll's injury.
No matter how great goalie you are, injuries will become chronic in TOR.
Yet another great outing for our goaltending. I'm still not convinced about the rest of the team but it's been substantially better then that trash at the beginning of the season!
Bouncing rolling puck.
Who at Sportsnet does not understand uncertainties what makes a game interesting, finding out who won should be the Reward for watching the video not reading the description.
Thanks for the Highlights still.🍁
Canes have a good team with the worst announcers in the league.
Get a load of the insightful comment – like “ the Canes have a desire to get the puck down the ice”.
Wow. Who knew?
Homers.
Freddie just isnt the guy anymore
Did Woll injured?
matthews one-timer – been a minute since we've seen that
Great, but the regular season was never the problem. And the east this year is so average that the Leafs are just a few wins away from 2nd in the Atlantic. This team still doesn’t look like a deep playoff team….hope I’m proven wrong but meh.
Who decided that every single first period shot needed to be in the highlights?
No one's going to mention #4 stickless defense?
Why is Hildeby in at the end? What happened to Wolly?
Болельщики Каролины заразились плохой болезнью от жителей Флориды 🤦🤬
