Maple Leafs vs. Hurricanes | NHL Highlights | December 04, 2025
[Music] Sunday against Calgary. It’ll be
his 700th NHL game played when he jumps over the boards and here we go.
The stall line starts it off and they’ll win the draw. Martin
into the zone with it. Well, that’s the skating ability that Walker uses that
I mentioned with Shane Gosses Bear to defend, have those tight gaps. Toronto will approach
the Keane. That shot comes through the score. Bobby McMahon let it go. It rang off the post and
banked in off of Frederick Anderson and trickled over the goal line. Well, the Leafs created
numbers in the neutral zone. It was a threeon two and found a soft area. McMahon did before Stan
Coven could adjust and try to tie up his stick. And the shot in a perfect shooting position goes
off the short side blocker sight post and off the backside of Anderson. Anderson nearly recovers,
but the pug had already completely crossed the goal line. Goes across scene. Little one touch
for Chatfield. Back for Gostasberry. Ready for net front. It’s there. Wall makes the save.
Juggles it and then he’ll get a whistle. Nestro that cross for now. A chance for Jankowski. Back
up top. Riley. He’s got some room, but that’ll be absorbed by Wall. He’ll get a whistle. A shot
through that knock down out in front. McMahon looking for it. Rebound comes free. Riley with a
shot. There’s Anderson at the top of his crease. He’ll make the save and hang on. But especially
him. Jerry racing in the bouncing puck. Gets to it and slaps him right on it. Wol has to be Johnny
on the spot to get in front of that. Goss barrel. Keep it in. Able to find AO. AO respect with
a spinama shot from behind the net. And Wall will knock that one down and get a whistle. Riley
with a good job of knocking it down up for Eers. Eers slides this one through. Blake looking for
Stanovven out in front. He’s hauled down. Scott Watton and that goes over the Kane’s net. Carolina
looking to clear. Another opportunity to keep in as Ster with it right on. And that’ll be frozen
there by Anderson. Second game back as he played Sunday against Calgary. Halfway through this first
period. Doing with it. This one will roll through. Anderson will kick it away a little too far and
that’ll be knocked out. Stetcher clears the line but sent right back in. Good work by Aaho on the
wall. Fetchnikov out in front for Jarvis. A second chance and oh really good early. You know Carolina
is dedicated to getting a puck deep. They’ve got two waves to go in there and retrieve it. And Wall
makes two really good saves on Kane Stankov trying to get this through. Another opportunity
there and Meyers will clear this one out. And this one takes a buggy bounce out in front
to score. Hits the stench and it was going to go around the boards but bounces right out in front
of Frederick Anderson and Scott Lton. Johnny on the spot knocks it home. It’s two nothing. When it
rains it pours for a goalender. Frederick Anderson this puck up on the glass. He did everything
right. He stayed home. didn’t try to chase getting back to a puck when it’s up on the glass and
it hits the stans and he looks he’s not able to locate where it’s going to come out to the middle
of the rink in a scoring position from the stans and Laden makes no mistake a comes out for the
extra attacker on the bencho he finds fetchnikov in strike tries the blocker side save made by wall
he comes off the ice and Jackson play joins this Senchov with it. Survey snaps a shut right on and
W makes the save again. Blake trying to thread the needle. Deflected but kept in by Gostas bear.
Blake smash the cough. Snaps one right on but into the crest of Wall. Wheelers forcing the
issue here. Walker lets a shot go in traffic but Wall sees enough and he’ll hang on with 3
seconds left in the penalty to Austin Matthews. Matthews trying to feed this down low. Does for
Lawrence. Return Larson deflected out in front. Anderson had to be flexible to make the save
there. Now Kelander watch. He’ll get to Matthews. That shot is ripped just wide and Anderson seen
enough. He’ll get a whistle. 71 and0 on the season so far. Big reason why the Canes are top near the
top of the division. Now Gaspar gets across. They score. Seth Jarvis a little connect the dots and
Seth Jarvis’s 16th of the year has got the Canes within one. As Fetchnikov, I mentioned it earlier,
ever been going in this game. Misplayed puck and you you lose a wheel at the Carolina blue line.
Shane Gosses Bear does it again. He jumps in to create numbers and makes an allworld no look
pass. A just gives Gosses Bear a chance. And how on earth Shane Gosses bear it bounces but they
took advantage of him. Built a two nothing lead. Carolina’s just got into it now. A good play there
as almost another bounce found Matthews and out in front of again. He’ll get a deflection. Anderson
Orange takes a bump and now Martin up with it. Good backtracking there by Nicholas Robertson,
the brother of the star, Jason Robertson. Now a turnover out in front. Terry’s there. He
gets a stick to it, but it stays out. He’ll hand it for Blake. Blake back for Gostas Bear.
Kanees keeping some tired penalty killers on the ice here for the Leaf. Shot for Gostas Bear, but
Wall sees it. Thursday Kanes trailing two to one, but early portion of the second period here.
Chance for Nestrom still looking for his first NHL goal. And 53 seconds in. Carolina can keep
this in against Stan Cobin with it. His drive and that’ll be hung on to as see if Sebastian can win
this draw and go to work along the boards. He gets help from Jarvis to win it. Chad sends it across
looking for Aaho. Misfires. Second chance to keep in. Gosses Bear redirected down low. Good stick
there by Jarvis. AO with it keeping the Leafs pinned in. Gostas Bear shot doesn’t get through.
Second chance to keep in. Deflected away. Ny going as Gostas Bear loses a stick. AO comes through
and N scores on the back hand. What an effort by Matthew Ny and the Leafs take a 3-1 lead at the
offensive blue line. Goss bear lost it. Okay, so that puts you in a tough position. And then NY
somehow goes down but maintains his balance and finishes this incredible individual effort. This
I would say is a save you’ve got to have because he’s on his back hand. You can either a a chance
for Nestrom. This puck picked up Janowski circling the net hanging on to it and we’ll work this one
back. Riley back for Janowski. He’ll try to pick the corner that hits some iron. Deflected at the
side of the net looking for Hall Ster with it up the boards now. Played off of Nestrom. Jenowski
will drop it back for Riley. Nice seventh goal of the year. That’s a big one for the Leafs. Now Hall
fires one from distance, but Wall will hang on and see it. Kane’s trying to get to work here. They’ve
had some territorial advantage so far in the first part of the second period. Here’s a chance neation
and what a save by Wall. kicking ball. He’s had a couple of shots in the high 90s this year. And
see that cotton plug right there. This one’s deflected on by Matthews. And a save in a game in
Washington. Back in the lineup against Pittsburgh. They haven’t lost since. Now NY’s with it. He’ll
snap a shot caught and hung on to by Anderson. 1252 left here in the second period. Carolina
trailing 3-1 as the Leafs get this one through. Chance for McCabe. Goes wide. And now Toronto can
turn it back up. Chance for Tvaris. That’ll be blocked. Good shove there by Spetchnikov. Still
gets loose. Back hand trickles through. Somehow stays out as Lton was looking at another chance
to score a goal there for the lead. Save a time if you’re Anderson. And he just had two good ones.
Locker locates with his eyes and then the really good rebound save on Knander. So two building
block moments and then with his stick off of icing stretches that spinning shot by NY and
Ster tries to seal him there. Matthews comes to help out. Bouncing puck to McCabe.
Kanees will force the turnover. Martin Nook hanging on. Martin Nook’s pass though
intercepted by Ny. Outstanding defensive play. Now the Leafs trying to get a threeon
two going. Doli across Matthews. He scores. Well, they broke out from their own end in
Austin Matthews. 4-1 Toronto lead. Well, Nikian kept the puck in and Hardinook tried to
thread the needle. And I just don’t think that’s the time and place to do so cuz Nikeshan’s caught.
It creates numbers. Austin Matthews is on the ice. So I don’t think you want to try to thread the
needle to the middle if you’re not Martinook either way. But when Matthews is on the ice and
Doli sauces it over to him. No chance on that one for Frederick. Wake wants to help it around for
Eers. Nicely done by Nikolai. Eers off for Blake. Settles. Waits out in front and Hildy makes the
save. At the same time the Leafs they want to add to the lead but they’ll take some time off of
this as Matthews gets a shot through. rebound out in front and Anderson will use the glove to
catch it as he takes it away from Zavvaris. Tvaris starts it all. [Music] Matthews has Freddy moving
one way, shoots it the other. Freddy makes that save and now Shane Gostas bear looking for any
kind of room. Go side of the net. Turn out now. Charis pass in front looking for Stall. That’ll
be knocked away. much hill to be in his movement here. Slightly attacks and stalls skate stayed on
the ice the entire time. So even though there was intent, I think that would have been a good goal
because of the fact that he just turned his skate, redirected it. Little flip by Walker. Riley
trying to clear. Puck is pawed down leg wiggly now. Finds Nick Wahwah up for McMahon. McMahon
watched by Gosses Bear. McMahon scores shielding Shane Gosstas Bear in his second of the game.
It’s true. McMahon started the scoring early in this hockey game and he’s ended the scoring if
it stays the way that it is. He was a huge part of Toronto having a really good start in route
to a victory Tuesday in Florida. The team that eliminated the Maple Leafs in game seven of the
Stankovven with it with 5 seconds left. He’ll fire one wide of Hildabby who let’s not forget the
job he did. He came into this game in the third period cold and didn’t allow anything as the Canes
were firing everything including the kitchen sink.

I think Freddie Andersen is washed now guys.
Hi
Well, look at that Mathews finally remembered his job description.
Knies is a workhorse, might be my favorite leaf tbh
Would been perfect for Toronto teams but nooooo LA had to ruin that.
CONSECUTIVE DOMINATING ROAD WINS VS REALLY GOOD OPPONENTS IS IMPRESSIVE
Canes can shoot 'em but not so much score 'em. Leafs look good tonight!
Woll 🙏
B2b wins about time 👏👏
So many empty seats. Damn, what a shame.
These announcers are horrid.
Coming from a fan, the hurricanes will continue mediocrity until they address the ongoing goalie issues that have cost them cups
Maybe this's the time of year the Leafs finally wake up.
Matthew Knies? More like Nice Matthews
Leafs might need to look for another goaltender , Joseph woll is on his what ? 20th injury ? Stolarz hasn't shown any sign of wanting to come back.
A saucer pass from domi to matthews that doesn't even connect and is kicked to the corner by Freddie isn't a highlight.
Make these videos shorter
Man, this is not what my Canes are. They were all asleep today…
These were obviously Carolina announcers.
Hey guys 🐻 DMW is listening to you from 🇨🇦🤩 everyone please stay safe 🙏
