Tiki can’t believe the Giants sat down with Evan Neal and Deonte Banks and drafted them 😳
It’s one of the things that frustrates me about some of the draft picks that the Giants have. Like Evan Neil, I don’t know how you sit in a room with Evan Neil and think, man, this dude’s going to be this guy’s going to be amazing. He’s going to be dragging guys, you know, pancaking him and walking over him, you know, over over the course of his of his career or season. I I I just don’t feel that when I when I meet him, right? Or you you look at a guy like Deontay Banks and it’s like, man, dude, can you carry on a conversation? Like, so Like there there is a there is a fine balance between being like Cam Scataboo like hoodr rat like I don’t don’t meet me in the in the alleyway but I can have an intellectual conversation with you at the same time. Like that balance is what I think makes really good football players. And I’m not talking about intelligence. I’m not talking about IQ. I’m talking about just awareness, football understanding, being able to something went wrong, tell me what went wrong. And if people like, I don’t know, then I don’t want you on my team. Like, I need to know what happened because if you don’t if you can’t tell me what happened, I can’t fix it. And I think too often we get enamored with the the the athlete or what he did in college. College is a crap sport half the time. It’s a different game than what we’re playing in the NFL. If you don’t have an innate knowledge of of how to play the game and understand the game from from trenches to the back the the the deep safety, then you can’t be successful. You just can’t. You’re not going to accidentally be a great football player.

Evan from the very beginning projected a tough guy persona, and i saw right through that, the FO didnt. You can be soft spoken but if you are authentic, you are the real deal, not the exterior but under the hood. I.E., Mike Tyson. IF THE NYG FOCUSED MORE ON THE INSIDE THAN THE EXTERIOR, THEY WOULD DRAFT & PICK PLAYERS BETTER, THAN THIS CRAP SHOOT JOE SCHOEN APPROACH THAT OFTEN HIT SNAKE-EYES!

Iv said the same thing I feel Joe drafts with AI . He has zero ability to judge a person on human level. Who they are as a person what there aggression level is . Do they truly love the game. To me this Joe biggest issue. He like that nerdy kid who way to much self confidence
Tiki has been defending these players, management, and the team as a whole for years. He was saying all last year how this team isn’t that bad and fans don’t know what they’re talking about. Oh how the tables have turned.

Respectfully.. everyone is judged and most likely drafted because of what they did in college.. right but it's all about the coaching and film study they do once they get into the league..so I think he's going a little bit far on trying to say the giants have missed on some picks and Evan Neal was highly rated coming out of college wasn't he..he showed stuff on tape to show he could be a good football player.. Banks was the number one or two corner on alot of people's draft boards.. Yes they both have struggled..and deserve criticism..but this organization deserves some as well..and what coaching they've put around these guys as well..💯
Giants scouting is beyond poor. Time to fix the problem Mr Mara hire some scouts that have a eye for talent and players that love the game, not just doing it for a check!
