BOSTON RED SOX DO A 5 PLAYER TRADE WITH THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES #boston #bostonredsoxnews #redsox
The Boston just traded the password. Let’s break it down, I guess. Let’s break it down. Okay, I’m here with my microphone now. Let’s talk about it. So, the main part of this trade was right-handed starter Johan Oedo, who they got from the Pittsburgh Pirates. The trade was with the Pittsburgh Pirates. As you can see, I’m out of it. Let’s get into some numbers. He’s 27 years old, 66, 275 pound builds, and debuted in 2020. So, that’s a fun year to debut. He pitched 40 innings last year with 42 strikeouts, a 1.21 whip, and a 3.57 erra. So, didn’t really see a lot of big league time last year, but he has pushed 361 total innings in the league, but he kind of had a rough first few years. So, I feel like if I were to give those numbers, they wouldn’t really display who he is. Didn’t really qualify for a lot of percentile rankings last year, but he’s in the top 98th percentile of the league for extension. Has an all right Arsenal five pitches. Pretty decent. He is under team control until 2027. And as I said, he only pitched 40 innings last year. So, these were his percentile rankings in Triple A. And it they were dominant numbers. So, when healthy, I think he can be pretty decent. and we did get some prospects in this trade. Reading with Tyler, another pitcher, right-handed pitcher, 26 years old and as yet to debut. He was a 15 round pick, picked 433 overall. Over the span of 5 years in the miners, he’s only pitched 158 innings. But last year in 48 innings, he only walked 11. Scotch that. This is getting even worse. They just fade Cooper Cruz ball. I can never have happiness. But then the next prospect, a round five pick in the 2025 draft who is 22 years old and a hitter, not a pitcher. He’s only had five career at bats in the minor and what was one of those? A home run. Okay. He was the number one ranked prospect overall in New York in 2022 and the number 48 national prospect. I was filming this. I still was kind of in shock that we traded the password. And now that I’m done editing this video and I’m just filming the outro for it, I still don’t know how I feel. I think I feel pretty good about it. I don’t know. I’m feeling really mixed opinions on this. Comment your thoughts.
I keep changing my opinon on this trade… comment your thoughts I want to chat as a community
