It’s ACTUALLY happening…
It’s actually happening as an MLB insider has just dropped a bombshell report surrounding Kyle Tucker and the Toronto Blue Jays that is not only wild but brings back memories of the Otani situation to break down this new report and discuss what it means going forward as it involves some wild new details. But not only that, we have a ton of new reports that followed from multiple reporters. And folks, it has just gotten very real surrounding Kyle Tucker. A ton to go over on this episode, folks. But before I get into it all, quick reminder to hit that subscribe button. Your guys support’s been unbelievable. Ladies and gentlemen, we have some big news today surrounding Kyle Tucker and the Blue Jays. Let’s dive right into it. I had a stream last night. It was fantastic. Shout out to each and every one of you who was in there. But folks, late last night into now, some brand new reports I’m going to be covering from this morning and of course into late late last night. Kyle Tucker was seen at the Blue Jays facility in Florida yesterday per Robert Murray. Now, there’s a lot of things to go over with this, but this was the initial report and that’s that Kyle Tucker of course was seen at the facility obviously because the Jays are interested in bringing him to the Toronto Blue Jays. And this has sparked a ton of speculation, all these different things and very similar to what happened with Shoi Otani. But something before we dive into a bunch of new reports, and we got Ben Nicholson Smith’s insight on this, we have a ton of reports from multiple reporters here. We can see here the Jays have dropped $256 million on pitching already this winter. And it looks like they’ve got plenty to spend. Toronto’s invested heavily in their spring training facility. So, it’s no surprise the club is showing it off um you know to big free agents. So, this is big for a ton of reasons. one obviously um you know Kyle Tucker being at the facility is a good sign because this is at least reportedly the only team that has met with Kyle Tucker as of now and the winter meetings are only a few days away and not only that ladies and gentlemen there’s a lot to go over and let’s start with Mitch Bannon’s report he’s of course a Jay’s reporter from the athletic all very notable people within this video folks so you can see here Tucker’s visit to Deneden was first reported by Robert Murray fansited talk of Toronto signed ing Tucker who is projected to get 20 or he’s only 28 years old but projected to get over $450 million. I don’t know if he reaches that far, but they said the talk of that has not been overwhelmingly loud within the Jay’s organization, but bringing Tucker Dan may signal real interest in another free agent addition. And for Jay’s team already near a franchise record payroll, Tucker would of course heavily surpass that and it would be unprecedented, which is absolutely wild here. And a couple things to go over. Let’s dive into Keegan Mat’s view on this meeting. Then we’ll kind of dive into what it means in the fit. Ke Madison on the fact that the Jays have met with Tucker. Tucker’s fit with Blue Jays is obvious. Yes, a talent like Tucker fits with any org, but he does all the things that define Blue Jays baseball, and that’s a new idea forged by their team last year. Tucker puts the ball in play, gets on base, and does it all with thump behind his approach. Any questions about Toronto can easily be fielded by some old teammates, too, including George Springer and Miles Straw. So, folks, I mean, this is as big as it gets. And when I say it’s actually happening, it’s official that they’re all in on him. Yes. I mean, multiple I’m sure there’ll be tons of other teams that, you know, get invited to the Jays Duneden complex, whether that be Kyle Tucker and a ton of other players as well. But this is notable that it was reported. Is it, you know, abnormal that, you know, they’re bringing him in? Absolutely not. Even if the level of interest isn’t super super strong, which it is ultimately, we know that, but even if it wasn’t, we’d probably hear about it at some point that they had met. But that would usually happen after he has signed elsewhere. Right? It’s very rare where you see from one particular you know reporter and then it flood the the market flood the you know the circle and J circles and Twitter like this did because you don’t usually just get one guy saying hey or one report saying that they met with him. It’s usually something that happens after it’s within an article with a bunch of teams that have met with Kyle Tucker in this instance but it’s not the case. And you have fans now saying you can’t miss on Tucker. We have two perennial 140 WRC plus bats, one lefty, one righty, hitting side by side by uh for a decade. Of course referring to Vlatty and Tucker. I love Bo, but this is the way. So, it’s very notable for a ton of reasons. And then, of course, most notably, no other team has been reported to have met with him. They’re getting their business done early. Now, I don’t think that he’s going to sign before the winter meetings on Monday, but like things are getting hot very, very quickly. And yes, there is. You know, I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of people in the comments right now typing, hey, you know, every team that is interested in Tucker is going to meet with them. It’s notable that it was tweeted about. It was very similar to the Otani situation where, yes, they didn’t get Otani, but they were very close to. It’s not normal for them to just tweet one, you know, instance like this and one team rather than a bunch of teams in one, which is what usually happens through my years of covering free agency. It’ be an article from Ken Rosenthal saying that Tucker has met with whatever the Cubs, the Jays, the Yankees, the Dodgers, now it’s just one team and no other team has been reported now hours later within this. And not only that, John Haymon at like midnight Eastern yesterday retweets this randomly. This is from Sleeper Blue Jays and he kind of quoted what John Hmon said, which was, “I think the Jays are going to go crazy.” That’s what Haymon said on November 13th. John Haymon out of nowhere just decided to go reposting. Now, take what you will with that, but or take with that what you will, but like very interesting. John Hmon’s a Scott Boris mouthpiece. Kyle Tucker’s a Scott Boris client. I mean, clearly, maybe it’s an Edwin Diaz. Maybe it’s something else. But for it’s notable that John Haymon is going out of his way to say that he thinks the Jays are going to go crazy. Love or hate John Haymon, he is one of, if not the most tuned in guy outside of Jeff Pass and in the industry. He knows when things are getting done. And for him to say this is absolutely notable. Heymon is not a guy to go on Twitter to troll necessarily in this regard at least. Yes, he’s gotten things around in the past. The arson judge stuff heading to the Giants. He’s, you know, a lot better since then. This is extremely notable. Now, Ben Nicholson Smith gave his two cents and it’s a bit more pessimistic, I guess. He says, “A visit does indicate that the Jays are genuinely involved with Tucker, which is good news, but it’s also a highly relative or sorry, a relatively standard part of the recruiting process, especially for a high-profile free agent, and doesn’t mean Tucker’s anywhere near making a decision. It would be a surprise if Tucker didn’t also visit some other rumored suitors, which I agree with, but the Jays being the only team named and the only team to have met with him up to this point is notable.” And Keegan Mat also, you know, kind of told that to me. It’s like it’s notable, not necessarily the fact that they’re meeting with him, but he told me it’s notable the fact that they’re the main team or at least it’s, you know, it’s encouraging. Now, meanwhile, the Blue Jays will stay in touch with their other players, including homegrown star Bo Bashette. But along with Tucker, the Jays have interest in Bashette, who’s also hitting free agency for the first time. And as of Wednesday, it appears extremely unlikely the Jays would land both players. And it’s possible that they don’t land either one. Now, don’t get all your hopes down here. Ben Nichols Smith every single offseason is extremely pessimistic and he says that they’re going to, you know, probably there’s a chance they don’t get either of them and he he wants to play the side of preparing for disappointment. It’s not I think they’re going to absolutely get one of the two. There’s no world they don’t at least in my mind. But there is of course that side of things to you know keep an eye out on. But when every other reporter Mitch Ben and Keegan Matson, everyone else is saying you know yes they spent some money on guys like Cody Pon and Jose Burio might get traded all these different things. It is notable that they’re all in on guys like of course Kyle Tucker. I don’t think there’s a world where they don’t get one of Bette or Tucker and I wouldn’t be surprised based on what we’re hearing if they get a guy like Kyle Tucker and then make a trade for an infielder or something like that. So, it’s going to get crazy either way and again he’s projected to get a 20 um you know $450 million deal through his age of course is going to be age 28 when he signs it. It’s going to be crazy. We’re going to keep you up to date every step of the way, folks. And as new reports fly, of course, this is the place to be for Daily Jay’s content. But let me know down below who you would prefer between Bob Bashette and Kyle Tucker if you have to just get one. But Mitch Bannon’s reporting as well that they’re, you know, I guess their vision of a team here and especially their locked in focus on Kyle Tucker is a sign of big things to come. And he’s also reporting that it’s evident now that their interest in Kyle Tucker is
Nick Gosse breaks down some wild new reports surrounding Kyle Tucker and the Toronto Blue Jays, and discuss what it means going forward.

Sorry for not being as confident as you when it comes to signing Kyle Tucker. Maybe he's only using the Blue Jays as strategy to up the offers… Remember Ohtani? I feel this is very similar….Sorry.
I would go marte and top closer and wait for deadline. Tiedemann to pen with berrios gone and lauer in rotation.
I won't believe any of these rumors until it's official. So what if Tucker visited the Jays' facility in Dunedin? They also said Ohtani was on a plane headed for Toronto 😂
The interest is real, therefore the budget is real. Nationwide fan base $$$
Bo!
They are going to get Tucker and bo
bla bla… i will pay attention once he's sign
It looks like Chris Bassett has signed with the New York Yankees. Buyeeeee.
If Bo Bichette wants to return, and there is only enough cash for either him or K Tucker, he better sign quick….The Jays will not risk losing Kyle Tucker, no way. Picture this line up….George Springer-R, Kyle Tucker-L, Vladdy-R, Barger, -L, Santander or Kirk….having two of the league's best left handed power hitters sandwiched around Vladdy G for a decade.
We wouldn't need to get an infielder if we got Tucker, if Santander is playing well. Because you could have jimenez barger and clement, then out would be tucker varsho and satander ig.
I love the energy but him going to Toronto is very low. I don't mind this being wrong but Bo is a bigger need.
Dude you are really pathetic. Stop with the bullshit titles. Nothing is happening. He visited a facility in Toronto just like he will visit other clubs that are interested. 🤡🤡🤡🖕
A blue jays facility in Florida which is close to Rays Facility not Toronto You know what other team is in Florida Tampa Bay Rays so theres a chance he could also sign with them
Boras isn't Tucker's agent …
Tell us something we don’t already know.
So
Wow feels like TBJ are building a W.S. TEAM!
They can't afford both Bichette and Tucker. It's either or.
The Tucker news is exciting. Still prefer to keep Bichette but moving him to second to offset his inconsistent defence at SS.
Just like ohtani is on a plane to Toronto im sorry but I don’t belive it
450 tucker is no judge! crazy price..
Too much asked by Tucker. Next.
from the stream last night!
I hate to dampen the mood, but just something I've been thinking about in regards to the Jays' skyrocketing payroll and the potential for a salary cap with the CBA negotiations in 2027:
If team owners win the right to create a salary cap across the MLB, that could potentially hamper, or even potentially severely hinder the Jays' ability to make acquisitions and fill our roster with other talented players into the future. Here's why…
Think of it, as a theoretical, we've signed Vladdy for 14-years/$500 million, Cease for 7-years/$210 million, Santander for 5-years/92.5 million, and then you sign either Bo for 8-years/$220 million (as an example), or Tucker for god knows how much (I still refuse to believe he's a $400+ million/$40 million AAV level of player). That's only four guys, and then the Jays still have to sign a closer, and potentially another bullpen arm, and then you still have an entire 26-man roster of contracts, both now and into the future, that will amount to your annual payroll from season to season. And let us not even dream about signing both Bo and Tucker, which would be an astronomical amount of money, not to mention a large portion of the annual payroll whose contracts would be on the books for several years to come.
Of course, some players will come, some will go, others who are still young will have their salaries increase significantly (Barger, Yesavage, etc.), other players get traded or will fade away in one way or another, and salaries will also come off the books. Some contracts will rise in AAV over time, others will drop over time (like Vladdy's contract), and some contracts will have deferred payments.
But regardless of who we sign this offseason, to be a top team heading into the future (at least as we know it right now with no salary cap for 2026), you have to spend a metric ass tonne of money to remain relevant, to keep up with the Dodgers, Yankees, Mets, etc., and to at least give yourself the chance to make the postseason on a consistent basis.
But the potential issue being: if we tie up our payroll with several very large contracts with high AAVs, and then a salary cap is put into place, the Jays (as well as other top teams) could run into the same issue as with past Toronto Maple Leaf teams where having 4-5 large contracts hinders your ability to create a deep team from top to bottom, while also hindering your postseason successes.
Of course, a 2027 salary cap is theoretical at this point, but if one was put into place across the MLB, how severe would the cap be, and how much would that become a detriment to the Jays who have several large contracts locked up and in place that would hinder their ability to sign other players?
Sure, in a new salary cap era, salary would have to be shed, and some contracts could be (or would have to be) traded away in order to make other acquisitions to fill team needs with at least decently talented players. But there is a world where we wind up having a few very expensive players with little money to fill our team with the quality of players it requires to be successful on a consistent basis.
In the instance that a cap does get put into place, I can potentially see top payroll teams like the Jays, Dodgers, Yankees, Mets, Phillies, etc. struggling and becoming less relevant as they struggle to get their payrolls under the cap. Some contracts would likely have to be traded away, which would (by default) make your team less competitive than it once was before a salary cap. I can also see a world where teams in the $200-ish million payroll range surge to becoming more competitive and relevant as prior top teams struggle as they adjust to a new salary cap era.
Again, this is all theoretical, but it does make me wonder how a salary cap could potentially affect the Jays' ability to acquire other top talent into the future if it does happen. It'll also be interesting to see if the owners of top spending teams will negotiate as hard as other owners for a cap to be put into place, because if they know about this potential dynamic, it's sort of like a double-edged sword: fight to put a cap in place, which would keep you from having to spend so much money on salaries every season, but on the flip side, a cap could also hinder your ability to remain as competitive as you shed payroll and adjust to a new cap system.
Anyway, just something I've been thinking about. Again, it's all theoretical, but let's not take anything for granted. A world exists where this coming season could be our best chance at a World Series title in the next several years. Who's to know.
Go get both Tucker and bo let’s gooo
What's happening?
Make sure they tell Tucker he won't be getting a hat unless he signs. We're not falling for that one again.
This guy is the worst he lives in Florida
It's not good wen we're the first team hes visiting omg like I'm so sick of these so called rumors I'll believe it wen I see it ok sick of these rumors every day omg did you hear this omg did you hear that like come on we need real and accurate news not hype or Rumors lol
If I’m in charge .. I’d move Santander and Berrios .. then sign Tucker, Fairbanks, mad Max again as the 6th starter just for his personality if he takes say 10 mil .. then go for Jorge Palonco for a 2/3 year deal to play 2nd .. better set up then giving Bo long term with 2 top SS coming up in the system.
1 Springer
2 Tucker
3 Vlad
4 Barger
5 Kirk
6 Palonco
7 Varsho
8 Clement or Lukes
9 Gimenez
Yesterdays news
Springer Tucker Vladdy Bo. Inject this into my veins now.
