  1. I don’t think having a completely rigid armor plate in your shoe is going to help most players come back after two months off and look like they haven’t missed a beat.

  2. This isn’t a revelation. They talked about it ad nauseum during the game. They even showed him changing his shoe a time or two.

  3. I’ve had turf toe and used these inserts. They’re a little awkward at first, but they help quite a bit. My injury was close to 2 years ago and I still have to tape up my foot when I work out…and I didn’t tear anything, mine was “just” a sprain

  4. No he’s just the best QB in the league. carrying this poverty team/franchise year in year out.

  5. I think it’s because Joey B is an absolute legend and worked his ever loving tits off for the game he loves to play. Because that’s what legends do

  6. Joe Burrow is the most mechanically skilled quarterback to ever hold a football. I don’t think the shoe has anything to do with it.

  7. idk, his stat line doesn’t read like “hadn’t skipped a beat”, but he definitely looked like he was getting more comfortable as the game went along and I expect with the extra rest he will look more like what we’re used to

  8. Uh, you didn’t know this? They only bleated it every chance they had during the telecast…

  9. Guys come on we all know joe went to Europe and got the sten cell boogie boogie injected into his foot toes and leg and he been getting the best treatment on earth of course hes better hes part cyborg now lol

  10. They mentioned this shoe on the pregame show Thursday. The reporter even had the backup shoe in her hand to show it.

  11. Burrow’s rehab is the stuff of legend, tbh. I’m an avid basketball fan too, and his love for the game and his work ethic always remind me of how Kobe and Jordan approached their craft, just relentless and borderline psychotic. I just hope this organization does right by him and give him competent and ample help, this dude deserves all the success in his career.

  12. They showed him taking it off a half dozen times and even showed the whole setup on the broadcast. Is this new news?

  13. Joe threw for 24/46. That’s only 52%. He averaged 5.7 yards per attempt. For the years he is averaging 54.9% and 5.5 yards per attempt. These are both at the **very bottom of the NFL rankings** next to JJ McCarthy.

Jameis Winston is at 56.9% and 8.7 yards per attempt, (but has 2 more INTs with 100 more passing attempts).

Joe is still in his beginning of the year phase when he is not a good QB. We need the end of the season Joe Burrow.

  14. Hadn’t skipped a beat? He was rusty and that much you can tell. Burrow is known for completing nearly 70% of his throws consistently. That wasn’t the case, but hopefully he’s better this week.

  15. Gotta give Joe credit, most other players could have milked that recovery for a few weeks longer.
