We all can see that CP3 is the type of guy who wants to win. He's a leader and if he sees something he doesn't like he's going to speak up.
And with all that going on I can't imagine how rotten the FO and coaching stuff had to be to allow this situation to happen.
If you are 5-15 and a leader like CP3 is shouting at you you don't just tell him to go home and proceed with business as usual. You do everything to get on the same page. Because at the end of the day you know what CP3's goal is: TO WIN! And it should be your goal too!
Why wasn't there any information about player only meetings? Why weren't there reports about coaching stuff having intensive brainstorming sessions with their players?
The only thing we got is that supposedly the Ty Lue wasn't on "speaking terms" with CP3 for weeks!
You're THE coach! You don't ignore your players. You take them aside and start a dialogue.
I'm not buying the story that CP3 was so disruptive this team was forced to send him home.
He's not a spoiled teenager who throws tantrums. He wants to win and this move only shows this organization just wants to be comfortable… SOFT
You mean to tell me he was cheered on like this by the Spurs just last season but suddenly he's so disruptive you need to send him home two months into his farewell tour? Just a soft organization…

You said it best.
SOFT.
What a night and day difference between a world class organization like the Spurs and the soulless product the Clippers keep rolling out every year.
Someone is being vocal about wanting to win and trying to foster change in a system that’s obviously gotten stagnant and no longer works. The fact that the team’s first response is to take it as a personal attack and ghost them is pitiful. Then to silence that player by cutting them from the team. This isn’t some 2nd round pick they bought and then dumped a couple seasons later, this is arguably the GOAT of your franchise, totally respect-less and rotten to the core upper management.
Let’s stop with the cp glazing, be for real. He was a big part of our history yes, but he’s not a winner. He doesn’t have hardware, he doesn’t have wins, he has some of the biggest choke games during the lob city era. I’m a clippers fan, not a CP glazer.
Let him move on, he’s got paid, he’s collected a lot of checks and he hasn’t won any team anything, yet he feels he’s good enough to criticize a team who did a lot better without him.
Let him stay home. Let’s go on a 10 game win streak and let’s keep the cancers out the locker room.
Harden didnt want him
move on
I agree the cp3 apologists and boot lickers are crazy here. This guy has never won and was part of some epic choke jobs through his career. Before shitting on an organization about not winning how about winning one yourself. Whats funny is that no way he tires to handle the situation the same in other organizations. had he done this to the spurs and they sent him home everyone would be cheering and saying how they dont take shit but since its the clippers people decide to clown.
One podcast said things CP was doing was pissing off the coaches and players, JVG told the young guy to do one type of defense, CP told him to do something different, and the young guy got chewed out for it because they messed up. Listen to Gils Arena and the Road Trippin podcast, those guys do not give a lot of love to the Clippers, but they are saying that CP was a terrible person to be around in that locker room. It was like how the DJ wanted to leave in the first place, because he hated how CP used to yell at him.
What they did was classless but I just could never like cp3. I always felt he was a bully. Given his character I am not surprised he never won anything despite having played in a thousand teams. He was always chewing out somebody.
Boo hoo. We need wins, but y’all want farewell tours and nostalgia instead. In real life y’all avoid people like CP3, especially at work. But y’all want his teammates to shut up and let him berate and demean them after every loss. Give me a break. Make it make sense.
One has players that want to learn and get better, the other has players that are comfortable and don’t want to do anything outside that comfort zone
He deserves a chip. Hope OKC brings him back on.
