Milwaukee Bucks have no other choice but to TRADE Giannis and get as much as they can for him!

unfiltered. I’m not sold. I’m sorry. Unapologetic. I’m not trying to talk about them. Unlike anyone else, but knowing y’all, y’all will probably make me. This is the Stephen A. Smith Show. What’s up everybody? Welcome to the latest edition of the Stephen A. A. Smith Show coming at you as I love to do every weekday over the airways of SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio channel 82. Number to call up as always is8 Mad Dog6. That’s 8 Madog6. That’s 888-6233646. And also, if you wanted to send in voicemail messages because you didn’t want to hang on the line waiting for me, always go to sirusxm.com/getserious uh to leave your voicemail messages. That’s sirusxm.com/getserious. Lot of stuff to get into today. Make no mistake about it. Um, listen, I could talk NBA because there’s news about Giannis. I could talk NBA because of the CP3 thing. I could talk college football because of the latest from Old Miss AD Keith Carter about Lane Keifin, about what some of the players from Old Miss had to say about Lane Keifin or the college football playoffs because there’s going to be a big time weekend for college football. The ACC championship, the SEC championship, the Big 10 championship with Ohio State, Indiana. I mean, the list goes on and on. We could talk about all of those things. Uh, but the game of the year, one could easily say, is tonight on Prime Video, Amazon, between the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions. To me, ladies and gentlemen, this game decides if one of these teams are going to the playoffs and one of these teams are going home. It’s two trains of thoughts that I have that I’ll stay out front, straight up and down. If the Dallas Cowboys win this game, T Love, don’t don’t be mad at me, my man T Love out there in Philly. But if the Dallas Cowboys win this game and the Eagles lose Monday night, even though the Eagles would still be a game ahead of them in the NFC East, I think Dallas is going to catch them and win a division crown and go to the playoffs and the Eagles going to end up home. That’s what I believe is going to happen. If the Dallas Cowboys win the night and the Eagles lose Monday night in LA, Dallas Cowboys gonna win the division. If the Detroit Lions lose tonight, they’re not going to the playoffs. And if that happens, the time has arrived to really, really look at the Detroit Lions and ask yourself this question. Have they missed the opportunity? They’re seven and five. They’re two games out of first place in the NFC North. Chicago Bears, shockingly got a halfame lead um over the Green Bay Packers in the division. But let’s stay on the Lions for a second. You’re seven and five. That record currently has you outside the playoff picture in eighth place in the NFC looking in. Okay, two games behind the 49ers or a game and a half rather. Okay, they’ve lost three of their last five games over the last two games because Dan Campbell is known for being aggressive. Known for being aggressive, known for going in on fourth downs. That has worked against them in an NFC title game against San Francisco a few year a couple of years ago and it’s working against them now. 0 for seven on fourth downs in the last two games. Losses to the Eagles and the Green Bay Packers. Dan Campbell talks about a margin of error is very, very small right now. He ain’t lying. Leaport is out. Your tight end. He’s out. Unlikely to return this season after undergoing back surgery last month. You got Arman Ros St. Brown. We don’t know if he’s is a game time decision whether or not he’s going to be available for his ankle sprain. I don’t believe the Lions can beat the Cowboys without Amar Rosi Brown. All right, you still got Jameson Williams. I get that. You still got Jamal Gibbs. This brother’s spectacular. No doubt about that. One shot that you’d have to win this game in my estimation is if Gibbs has 250 allpurpose yards from scrimmage. If that kind of meteoric, sensational performance shows itself, then I believe the Detroit Lions can win that game. Except I don’t believe that’s going to happen. I believe the Dallas Cowboys right now are the scariest team in the National Football League. See, I can say it because I’m being objective. I know y’all don’t expect that from me when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys because we know how much I root against the Dallas fan base. You know, nothing pleases me more than to see a Dallas Cowboy fan miserable. I’ll admit it. I’ll admit it. It’s not really about Dak Prescott. It’s not really about anybody else. It’s about how I feel about that damn Dallas Cowboy fan. No gonna win the super next. No go super next. They get on my damn nerves. They don’t take any moment, not a moment to smell their own stuff. They drive me crazy with that. But this team is different. This team is different. As great as Jamar Chase and T. Higgins are, the Dallas Cowboys have the number one wide receiving talent in football. and CD Lamb and George Pickkins. There’s no way around that. Javvante Williams running out of the backfield has been a godsend for them. He’s really, really produced for them unexpectedly. So, and Jerry Jones and them look smart because Rico Dattle, who by the way ran rough shot over them and Carolina beat Dallas in the playoffs, give credit where credit is due. that same Rico D that you let walk out of the Dallas Cowboy locker room for $3 million because he got a one-year $6 million deal from Carolina when the Cowboy Cowboys didn’t want to pay it to him and they decided to give it to Javvante Williams at one year and $3 million. But with all of that being said, look what’s happened. You trade Michael Parsons right before the season begins. Your defense is in shatters. And what has the Dallas Cowboys done ever since then? What have they done? You know what the Dallas Cowboys have done? They’ve won three straight since the NFL trading deadline. They’re undefeated. Quinnon Williams has been a monster for them. All right. Absolutely. So, and Jerry Jones should love him for it. Trey and deadline acquisition. Quinnon Williams 19 quarterback pressure, seven quarterback hits, one and a half sacks in three games with the Cowboys. And they’ve won all three games. Cowboys defense 44% pressure rate with Quinnon Williams on the field, which would be the highest in the NFL this season. They’re allowing 9.1 points fewer and 85.1 fewer yards per game than they did before he’s arrived. And in terms of the difference in third down executions, opponents averaged a 53% conversion rate before Williams arrived. That number has dipped to 35% since he’s arrived. Meanwhile, the Cowboys ranked second in the NFL in rush defense and 70 yards per game allowed. They’re tied for sixth in the NFL with eight sacks by five different players over that span. They also led the league with 20 or lead the league with 26 quarterback hurries and 17 quarterback knockdowns over these three weeks. And the return of linebacker Dearon Overshone also has helped their defense. I mean, right now, you beat Kansas City and you beat Philadelphia. Two Super Bowl combatants in a matter of four days. Dak Prescott, by the way, MVP candidate. No way around it. 271.8 passing yards per game. That ranks first in the NFL. 69.3% completion percentage that ranks fifth in the NFL. 25 touchdown passes, second only to Matthew Stafford. And it’s and he’s tops in QBR. This Dak Prescott we’re talking about here. So, I’m looking at all of these things and I’m saying, “Damn, I gotta tell y’all something. I can’t underestimate what I’m seeing from the Dallas Cowboys. I wish I could, but I can’t because it is what it is. And by the way, Dak Prescott has a 122.2 passer rating targeting Pickkins, by the way, the second highest in the NFL with a minimum of 80 targets. He’s got a 114.7 passer rating target in Jake Ferguson. The highest among quarterback tight end duos and the fourth highest in the NFL. The four highest passer rating targets in the NFL, Dak Prescott to George Pickson. Number two, number one is Sam Donald to Jackson Smith and Jigba. Number three is Matthew Stafford to Puka Nua. And number four is Dak Prescott to Jake Ferguson. The Lions play man coverage at the highest rate in the NFL. How you gonna play man coverage against pickins and CD Lamb? I don’t see it happening. I really, really don’t, but maybe I’m wrong. TripleA Mad Dog 6 is always the number to call up. It’s 8886233646. You’re listening live to the Stephen Aman show, SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio. I just don’t see it. And I think that one of the things that need to be said is that the Detroit Lions, this could be their window. This game is everything to them. You know why? Because even with the personnel that you have, you see some slippage. Why? Because Dan Campbell no longer has Aaron Glenn or Ben Johnson as his coordinators defensively and offensively, respectively. Ben Johnson’s doing a hell of a job in Chicago. We won’t talk about the job Aaron Glenn is doing in New York. we’ll just say it’s bad. And in the end, what it comes down to is that Dan Campbell having to replace two new coordinators already took over play calling duties from his offensive coordinator Morton and it ain’t working. So, I’m just looking at all of this right now and I’m saying we were talking about the Lions as going to the Super Bowl. We were talking about the Lions as that team. That’s what we were talking about them as. And now it looks like they may have missed their window of opportunity. I hope that’s not the case, but that’s how it’s looking. That’s how it’s looking. Let me transition to something else. And this is involving the NBA because Jannis Takmpo is making news. and he’s making news because according to reports um his agent Giannis and his agent have reportedly started conversations with the Milwaukee Bucks about whether his future remains there with a potential trade before the February 5th, 2026 deadline. Everybody’s and their mother should be interested in Giannis. He’s one of the top five players on the planet. And when you look at it, this is where it becomes an issue for me. When I think about Giannis, I think about this. What the hell is the ruckus about? If you are the Milwaukee Bucks, you must trade him. He’s averaging 30 and 11. You have to trade Jana sent to Kmpo. You have to because you have no other assets to provide. He’s going to turn 31 years of age this Saturday if I remember correctly. Giannis, you can’t win anyway because you’re not a good enough team. Why keep him around at the height of who he is? I know this you don’t want remnants or indications or a replica of Kareem Abdul Jabbar getting him out of town. But when you consider what the Milwaukee Bucks have looked even with him before he went down last night and now he’s expected to be out two to four weeks with a cash trade or whatever it is, the bottom line is if you’re the Milwaukee Bucks, why keep Giannis? You ain’t going to win with him. If the New York Knicks can get five picks for Muel Bridges, if the Orlando Magic can get multiple picks for Desmond Bane, what the hell do you think you can get for Giannis Tumbo? Think about it. If I am the Milwaukee Bucks, I’m asking for the damn farm for him, but I’m gonna get it before I let him go because you can’t win with him. And they recently lost seven straight. They’ve lost eight of nine and you’re on a fast track to nowhere. Half the dudes in the start lineup with them, I didn’t even know they existed. You can’t keep Giannis at the Tupo under these conditions. You got to move him. Just make sure you get a boatload of assets so you could sell Milwaukee on the future because now ain’t hitting it. Giannis Antmpo needs to be traded by the Milwaukee Bucks. He doesn’t need to be asking for a trade. His agent doesn’t need to be pushing for a trade. They just need to go where they want to go. But if you are the Milwaukee Bucks, you should be looking to trade him because you’re not going to win with him. And you he’s too important. He’s too great. And you got to get assets for him. You have to do it. It’s that simple. You can’t mess around with this. Period. This is not Anthony Davis. Giannis is on the court most times. This is not John Morant who we’re looking to elevate his level of play and remind us of the greatness that we know exists within him. This is Giannis who never lets us down in terms of what he brings to the table. You cannot keep him keep him in a loser situation and then he forces his way out and you don’t get the requisite assets for his greatness. You got to find a way to do that if you’re the Milwaukee Bucks. Cuz Giannis ain’t happy. How could he be happy there? You got to find a way to do it if you’re the Milwaukee Bucks. TripleA Mad Dog 66 8886233 3646. You’re listening live to the Stephen A. Smith Show. SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio. Um, before I go to commercial break, I’m going to get into CP3 and the Clippers in a little while, but I forgot to bring this up and I wanted to go back to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Mike Tomlin. Do we have sound, Sean, of what James Harrison, the former player uh for the Pittsburgh Steelers, said about his former coach, Mike Tomlin? Because I got to tell you, it was an ouch moment. It was an ouch moment. And Mike Tomlin is just in a tough tough spot right now. He just is because the Steelers don’t look good. And leave it to James Harrison to encapsulate it the way only he could. Play that sound of the former linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers talking about his former coach, the present coach of the Steelers, Mike Tomlin. Please play that for me, Sean. As much as I hate to say this, I have never been a person that thought coach Tomlin was a great coach. I thought he was a good coach. And I’ll be honest, a good coach gets you to play to your potential. And right now, the players we have on that team, I have seen play. I know they can do it. I have seen them do it. And they’re not playing up to their potential. And a great coach, a great coach, a great coach gets you to play beyond your potential. That was an ouch moment. And I’m going to tell you why it’s an ouch moment. You can’t dismiss James Harrison. Um, when James Harrison said that about Mike Tomlin, it hurt to hear because he’s right if what he’s basing it on is this year. The Steelers don’t look like they’re supposed to look at all. And I’d be shocked if Mike Tomlin is back as head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers after this season. It’s one thing for you to not have a winning record. It’s one thing for you to miss the playoffs. It’s one thing for you to lose without winning a playoff game again. It’s another thing entirely when the Steeler nation, Pittsburgh Steeler fans, who’ve only had three coaches since the 60s, Chuck Null, Bill Cower, and Mike Tomlin. Three coaches. They usually hit the jackpot. They’re exceptional at hiring head coaches. When you look at the Pittsburgh Steelers, and this is what has happened, how do you get around that? You see, at the end of the day, Mike Tomlin hasn’t won a playoff game since 2016. And it’s usually been because you didn’t have a quarterback. Well, this year wasn’t Aaron Rogers’s fault, at least early on. It was your defense. What happened with that? So, there’s always something. And so, that was a problem. And for James Harrison to point that out about Mike Tomlin this year, I get it because you had the personnel, although an aging one, and people expected more from you than they got. I got it. The ouch moment for me when James Harrison opened his mouth is when he said, “I’ve never viewed him as a great coach.” Because in the eyes of a whole bunch of people, Mike Tomlin was a great coach. But James Harrison is saying, “Nah, y’all don’t know what y’all talking about.” And went on on camera with his shades on, wasn’t playing a lick. Wasn’t playing around at all. Not great coach. I just feel like the walls are closing in on Mike Tomlin. And the kind of man that I believe him to be, he’ll push back by voluntarily leaving. He might be that guy or he might be the guy that’ll come back and and and let Steer fans know I’m going to make up for what happened this year. I ain’t gonna go out like that. I don’t know if that’s going to work. I really really don’t. And that’s where I’m at with it. AAA Mad Dog6 is the number to call up. It’s 8886233646. You’re listening live to the Stephen A. Smith Show SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio. Let’s go to the phones real quick before I go to break. Let’s go to Trey in Texas. You’re live with Stephen A. What’s up, Trey? Hey, Stephen A. How you doing? I’m all right. Talk to me. So, I have two questions for you. Uh, number one is about Mike Tomlin. Uh, do you think he’s overrated in all coaches of any sport? Um, and number two, I don’t think he’s overrated. I don’t think he’s overrated. I think that when people talk about him, they talk about a high-end motivator. They talk about a leader of men. Um, he’s had a winning record for 18 consecutive years or a non- losing record for 18 consecutive years. Um, you look at people and and he’s respected. Um maybe they they they they overblow it a little bit when they say he’s great like he’s got multiple rings. Uh but right he has as many rings as Shawn Payeyton and Shawn Payton’s considered a great coach. Yeah, that’s true. Yeah, you got to look at it that. That’s true. All right. I never thought about like never thought about it like that. Yeah. Um and number two, um I don’t know if you mentioned about Michael Jordan on NBC. Uh what’s your thoughts on MJ being on NBC segment on his segments? I love I love MJ involved in basketball in any capacity because he’s the greatest to have ever lived. He’s the goat and anything he has to say we should all pay wrapped attention to and listen as often as we possibly can because he’s Michael Jordan. He’s Michael Jordan. He’s spectacular. Make no mistake about it. So I say that that’s where I stand with it. I don’t know about everybody else but that’s certainly where I stand with it. Dan in Dallas, you’re live with Stephen A. What’s up, Stephen? A, thanks for taking my call. Yep, no problem. Uh, I’m wondering if do you think if the Steelers win the division and sneak in, do you think they could potentially still go on a little run? Because at the end of the day, in a cold weather playoff game, you still want A-Rod over I don’t believe in them. I don’t believe in them anymore. I really, really don’t. Offensive, defensively, special teams, there’s always something with these damn Steelers. I don’t believe it. I don’t believe it. Not for one second. It’s It’s It’s never A-Rod’s fault, though. That’s fair. You might say that, but he didn’t come across like that last week. He said there are things he’s has to do better as well. That’s what he said. So maybe we’re overbing it and maybe maybe we’re choosing to be a bit too critical of Aaron Rogers in that regard. Sticking to his play is more than good enough. That provides more than enough ammunition. We don’t have to say anything else or attach anything else to him. Yeah, I mean I just think if if they can I mean all they have to do is win the division, win a couple games against the Ravens and they’re in. So, and then you have a Hall of Fame QB. So, I mean, you never know. You know what I’m saying? Well, you never know. But I feel I do know based on what I’ve seen, I think the Ravens would still beat them. Number one, I think Cincinnati can creep up and catch them all. Number two. Um, and number three, how much faith are we going to have in the Steelers if indeed they do go to the playoffs? Because they don’t win once they get there. So that’s where we at with it. Appreciate the call though, man. Thank you so much.A Mad Dog6 is always the number. The call is 888623 3646. 1. Really disappointed with this video. I am a fan, but these videos with these quick takes have been very unsettling ever since he went to SiriusXM that takes has been meek and weak. I miss the old Stephen a format.

  2. if they really want to get as much as they can for him they should trade him to the thunder for multiple talented guys 4 1st round picks plus 4 pick swaps plus a tone of 2nds. that would be best however the Greek freak said he wants to go to a big market. then the best deal would be the lakers for picks trash players and Reaves. because Giannis could opt out after a year where ever he goes. not too many teams will want to give up a lot of assets for someone who could leave in a year. the spurs is a small market so he wouldnt want to go there even with wemby there. its a tricky situation. bucks should have traded him last year.

  3. Lol saying they have no other choice is ridiculous. He’s under team control for the rest of this season and next. They don’t have to do a thing if they don’t want.

  4. Let me say, I am so proud of Stephen A on the view. OMG…the question were well curated so he can trash talk the President. However, he knew the card they were playing. Sunny, was not a happy camper. I think she thought "I got him." This is why we have to work together and stay on what works for the American people. Talk about the issue NOT the person. Proud of you Stevey!❤❤❤❤❤💯
