Looking at the Browns 2026 free agents currently, if the Browns only brought back their restricted free agents, the Browns are losing the following depth positions and players to FA:

On Offense:

  • 1st string LT (Cam Robinson)

  • 1st string LG (Joel Bitonio)

  • 1st string C (Ethan Pocic)

  • 1st string RG (Wyatt Teller)

  • 1st string RT (Jack Conklin)

  • 2nd string TE (David Njoku)

  • 2nd string LG (Tevin Jenkins)

  • 2nd string RG (Tevin Jenkins)

  • 3rd string RB (Jerome Ford)

  • 6th string WR (DeAndre Carter)

Defense:

  • 1st string SOLB (Devin Bush)

  • 2nd string SS (Rayshawn Jenkins)

  • 2nd string WLB (Jerome Baker)

  • 4th string DE (Cameron Thomas)

  • 1st string DT (Shelby Harris)

Special Teams:

  • 1st string P (Corey Bojorquez)

In addition to these potential open roster spots, important positions to potentially improve at are QB (depending on how the QB’s finish the season) and WR.

The Browns can try to improve all of these areas via free agency, the draft and trades.

We currently have the following draft picks in the 2026 NFL draft:

  • Browns 1st

  • Jags 1st

  • Browns 2nd

  • Browns 3rd

  • Browns 4th

  • Browns 5th

  • Raiders 5th

  • Bengals 5th

  • Bears 6th

  • Seahawks 7th

Here are some of the higher positions of need for the Browns regarding the top 100 2026 NFL FA’s according to NFL Trade Rumors.com:

  • 3. Daniel Jones, QB

  • 4. George Pickens, WR

So what do you think the Browns do this offseason via free agency, draft and trade? Do you think we can fill all the holes this offseason?

  1. First three picks in the draft should all be taken and not bundled to trade up. Only best available between their ranking of QB, WR and OL. All of those 3 picks must be instant quality starters to turn this offense around. There is no money to long term fix this team via free agency.

This draft is a must hit.

  2. The Browns aren’t going to have the cap room to go after the big-name free agents. Also worth mentioning that most of them probably won’t be interested in coming to Cleveland.

When it comes to free agents; think bargain bin guys on short 1-2 year deals.

I’m not expecting any splash signings or trades simply due to our cap situation.

Think Noah Brown, Tutu Atwell or Tim Patrick at WR.

Same will go for offensive line …. think middle of the pack.

    My wish list:

    * Re-sign Teller, Pocic, Njoku, Jenkins, and Bush.
    * Sign a veteran OL & WR each in free agency.
    * Draft a QB1 (**Mendoza/Simpson**) and WR (**Tate/Lemon**) in the 1st round.
    * Draft the best available OL in **BOTH** the 2nd & 3rd round.
    * Draft the best available defensive back in the 4th round.

This is what I want to see happen.

  3. They’ll either take a franchise QB at the top or seek out a veteran to play ahead of Shedeur.

Let the line walk other than maybe Pocic or Teller if he takes a healthy cut. By then they’ll know if they want any of Jenkins, Leviston, or Zinter to play.

So they’ll have plenty to spend on OL & WR and probably take a couple of each in the draft too.

  4. i feel like pocic and teller are gone. bitonio has a high chance retire, but hes a lifer. you never know. could be back. conklin is a bandaid but wouldn’t be surprised if we resigned him.

njoku is a company man too. i think he’ll be back.

they’re probably gonna try to rebuild their oline with some versatile fringe starters and draft picks, maybe some late round picks from years past

the biggest returning player will be the qb that no one wants to see play

  5. Joel, Ethan, Wyatt and David will more than likely be re signed.

The other lineman are a big liability.

Bush and Harris have played well this season. Bush would probably be line for an extension. Harris depends on how he looks after surgery.

    Corey will be resigned.

The front office is going to have to make a decision of either using our 2 1sts to secure a qb, or do we want to roll this same god awful offense out again next year. My guess is they will go for a qb.

A win Sunday puts us at like pick 8, effectively not getting us a QB. A WR and a OL would be only options but it would be the meme of the Bugatti in the trailer park. Neither of these QBs are it.

Once Watson is off the books, we should hopefully have more freedom to spend.

  6. Ford can go. He’s been useless this year and is basically the third back at this point behind Judkins and Sampson.

I hope we see a complete facelift of the offensive line (from new players to Bloomgren no longer being around next year). Build around Pocic if you have to (Bitonio is not getting any younger, Conklin remains forever injury-prone and is also not getting any younger, and Teller is madly regressing). I’m fine with giving Dawand another year to prove himself at LT but I’m not holding my breath that he can make it through a whole season at this point. Keep Teven Jenkins and hope we start to see some growth from Zinter at guard. Lucas and Leveston are both turnstiles so cut your losses there. O-line needs to be addressed in the draft for sure.

Besides the O-line we need the most help at receiver. I think it’s a pipe dream hoping that guys like Pickens, Doubs, and Pierce would come here though (Pickens I think would be much more likely to re-sign with Dallas to continue playing with Dak as opposed to coming here into an unstable QB situation and a bad offense with his attitude). Daniel Jones is definitely not happening (he’s going to re-sign with the Colts). Receiver will probably need to be addressed in the draft but do I trust Andrew Berry to hit on one? Hell no. He’s consistently whiffed at that position. And please, whatever the hell you do get Jerry Jeudy the fuck out of Cleveland. He’s becoming a problem in the locker room with his attitude and he’s not exactly providing much value on the field either.

I’m iffy about QB. I don’t think it’s wise to bet everything on Shedeur going forward (he hasn’t been good enough in his two starts to warrant that) but if they’re not picking within the Mendoza/Moore/Simpson range I’m punting on addressing QB until 2027 (with hopefully better pieces in place on offense by then).

  7. I dont think the Browns have the cap space to sign any big free agents. If a top QB falls to their first pick it might be worth the shot since its pretty much a wild guess anyway. Other than that they need to fix the OL and get a reliable WR, Maybe Bond will become that. also take some shots on secondary players later in the draft the current group has some age, free agency, declining play issues that im not sure can be solved.

  8. We’ll probably draft a QB (or two because we’re the Browns) that won’t pan out to be anything. One of the QB’s will be hand picked by Jimmy because why not? We’ll be hyped up in the offseason for our new QB but he will end up getting destroyed behind our offensive line.

We’ll trade the remaining pick(s) for multiple 5 or 6 round picks which will amount to nothing.

We don’t have money to pay anyone with talent, so we’ll chug along with mid to low level WR’s and no changes to the offensive line.

Kev will keep his job and we’ll see the same exact product on the field. This is the Browns, not sure why anyone is expecting anything different at this point.

  9. What I want them to do is take a franchise QB.

What I think they do is ride with Watson and hope they get mid QB play while drafting a WR/OL.

  10. Great post thanks for breaking this down. I realllyyyy like the idea of Romeo Doubs and Wandale Robinson.

  11. We need to upgrade the entire offense outside of RB and TE.

Our OL is ass and all making a lot. Most of this rotation was part of our league best OL a few years ago but they just can’t do it anymore.

I think we draft 5 – 7 OL and sign 2 or 3 in FA.

We need a real WR 1 and another guy to be WR2 or to have somebody else in the room step up.

Shedeur has the opportunity to lose out and make sure we draft the next guy or win 3 games to make sure we can’t. I think we miss the top 2-3 QBs without trading too much away. Too many holes to give up 3 1sts.

If we miss the top QBs they probably don’t draft one at all and bring in a Mac Jones or Carson Wentz kind of guy.

Berry will plug in cheap vets at RB3, LB, DT and Safety.

  12. Jesus. As bad as they are, losing the entire starting o-line would be fucking rough.

  13. Any way you slice it, we’re in cap hell until at least 27 when we can pay Watson 25 mil to fuck off. The smart solution right now is to strip down and rebuild what we can. Teller, Pocic, Bitonio and Conklin need to be gone and we can restock with decent free agents for the time being. Right now what we have is draft capital, a lot of it. It’s not inconceivable we could pick up someone like Smith or Tate or Williams in the first round either.
