Aaron Glenn is TURNING the New York Jets Franchise Around

Aaron Glenn is working his magic right now and he deserves some credit from what we’ve seen from these New York Jets in these last few games. Another guy we’re going to give some credit to is Jets general manager Darren Muji. Now I understand there’s not a lot of positive things to talk about when you are a three-9 football team, but when you add the context of what the expectations were from at least my standpoint heading into this season was that it’s going to get really ugly before it gets pretty. And I’m on record saying that all throughout the offseason heading into this one. I feel like we’re seeing some promising things where if you’re a Jets fan and you’re really looking at the rest of this season of what to look forward to, what needs to be improved, and what has Aaron Glenn and Darren Muji done up until this point of being 3-9 in the 202526 season. We’re going to break it all down right here in this video on Jets Media. Make sure you guys do me a solid favor by simply hitting the thumbs up button if you enjoy the content. Comment down below your thoughts. As always, love to hear what you guys have to say in the comment section. And I’ve noticed that there’s a lot of people watching my videos that are not even subscribed to the channel. Do me a favor. If you’re not already, hit that subscribe button so you get notified whenever your boy makes a video here on Jets Media. Let’s get straight into business. And first thing I want to talk about is Aaron Glenn has a roster that you can argue is not super talented playing winning caliber football. They’ve won three of the last five games. And you look at the context to these wins. You look at the roster right now, the Jets traded away Quinnon Williams and he’s balling out in Dallas. I don’t know if you guys are seeing what Quinn’s doing over there for the Cowboys, but he’s playing like the dominant force that we all loved here with the New York Jets. So, shout out to Quinn over there. Gold ball out. Sauce Garner on the other hand, he gets traded away and now he’s injured unfortunately for him and the Colts are kind of spiraling down and we don’t even have Garrett Wilson. So, those you if you asked me Richie, who are the best players on the Jets entering this season? Who are the top three guys? I would probably answer that question with Quinnon Sauce and Garrett Wilson. And all three of them, two of them are shipped, no longer members of the Jets. And the other one, Garrett Wilson, has been injured throughout the last what, five or six games. He barely played against the Browns when he got back because he reinjured his knee, unfortunately. And in these last five games, they’re playing better football than they did when all three of those guys were healthy. There’s a new version of the New York Jets right now and I think that it deserves to be talked about in a whole video which is why we’re breaking it down right here on Jets Media of course. And I think that a big thing I’m learning about Aaron Glenn and Darren Muji is that their vision is so clear and I’m seeing it come together from an offensive standpoint. I broke down this exact topic in a video already. So I’m not going to go super deep into detail, but go check out the offense video we made last video uploaded here on the channel. But basically what I said is that right now the Jets goal offensively is to build an infrastructure, a system, and a foundation led by Tanner Angstread and Aaron Glenn where whatever quarterback they bring in cuz we all like Tyrod, but he’s not the future of this franchise. Justin Fields is obviously not either. Hey, maybe there’s Brady Cook fans in the chat. Maybe you can reveal yourself. No, Brady Cook’s not the future, but hey, maybe he’ll get his opportunity one day. All jokes aside, the Jets are building some type of system. They’re trying to at least. So whenever they get their quarterback in the draft or maybe it’s not the draft this year, maybe it’s a veteran, another bridge, they want that quarterback to come into a system that’s already in place. This is the first year of Aaron Glenn and Darren Muji. Okay, this is the year of installation. This is the year of when you’re building everything from the scratch. And that’s what I’m noticing. And now we’re kind of in the second half of the season here. And you’re seeing the foundation slowly get built a little bit more where the players are buying into what they’re preaching. the special teams unit absolutely off the charts and Aaron Glenn deserves a lot of credit from there. So that’s really what the Jets are trying to do on offense. You trade for AD Mitchell, you trade for Meti, two brand new players on this offense that’s playing really good football so far. Bree Hall is still on this team. They did not trade him away. They kept him for a reason. Hopefully he could be here long term because I really think that he’s should be a piece of the culture. He should be a piece of that framework we’re talking about of this offense moving forward. Hopefully that whole situation clears itself up in the offseason where Bree is here for 2026 and beyond. And then you look across the offense, they’re building everything around the quarterback. So when the quarterback comes in, they’re actually entering a solid situation. So that’s the the vision they have on the offense. Now special teams, oh my goodness. I can make a whole video on that and I think I want to do that actually because Chris Banjo, the Jets special teams coordinator, I don’t know if you guys saw the video of him on the sideline after Isaiah Williams had that return against the Falcons, but his energy is so infectious. This is a guy that just retired from the NFL a few years ago. He played under Aaron Glenn. He looks like he can suit up and play like he’s he’s built. He’s in shape. He looks like a a guy that could be in pads being a gunner. He could be playing what Quantes Stiggers is doing, which is another player that I wanted to highlight that’s not really getting the credit he deserves because he’s he plays an interesting position that no one really gives them their credit when they’re playing well, and that’s the gunner. Irv Charles was supposed to be the Jets gunner, but he’s been injured all year. Quant Stiggers has been that guy for the Jets on special teams, and he’s been fantastic. He recovered the fumble after the guy muffed it near the goal line, which resulted in a touchdown from Bree Hall. and he’s making plays in terms of tackling on punt coverage. It’s not just returning kicks, it’s also covering kicks and not giving up touchdowns, not giving up big plays, making open field tackles. And I think Diggers is a guy that I wanted to highlight real quick that deserves the credit on special teams. Chris Banjo is coaching him up and you can tell that his coaching is really coming out there and uh revealing itself. And then of course Nick Faulk, the Jets kicker, the punter, Austin McNamera, an absolute stud. You got a rookie and then you got an old kicker. So, it’s funny how you got an undrafted free agent punter who’s a boss and then you got the OG 41y old Nick Folk who was teammates with a head coach Aaron Glenn at one point with the Cowboys. Funny how that works. But the fact that the special teams unit, they’re third in the NFL in EPA. And it really is cool to see that in the first season with Chris Banjo, he has that unit playing really good football. And then defensively, you know, there’s we’re seeing a little shift. They remember when I brought up earlier in the video, Quinnon and Sauce are traded, but the defense is better. And there’s one player individually that I want to highlight that I don’t think people realize how good of a season he’s having, and that’s Jawan Briggs. He’s slowly becoming I don’t want to say the word star because I don’t want to use that word and just use it lightly and say everyone’s a star, but since Quinton Williams has traded, you look at the numbers, he’s up at the top of pressures and sacks and every single number you possibly can imagine for an interior defensive linement amongst the whole NFL. And that’s really cool. When the Jets trade away Quinn, Joan Briggs took on his role. Like that’s exactly what happened. He was starting next to Quinn, but now, you know, you have Harrison Phillips and Joan Briggs. I think Joan Briggs wasn’t even technically the starter now that I think about it. When Quinnon was here, it was Harrison Phillips and Quinnon and he was coming in in the rotation. Now he’s the starting defensive tackle and he is playing really good football to the point where the Jets found a gem in him. If he can develop into a legit starting defensive tackle, he’s extremely young. The Jets traded for this guy in August and no one really thought much of it like, “All right, this is just a depth guy from the Browns.” But no, he became a legit starter. You know how hard it is to find a starter in this in this league before the season without having free agency or the draft at your disposal? They found him in August, man. So, big credit goes to Darren Muji and the scouting department. Muji actually gave their the scouting department a lot of credit for finding Joan Briggs because they’re the ones that recognized a guy across the NFL that would fit what they’re trying to do on defense and they did what they had to do to bring him in, which is just a late pick swap. wasn’t even a big compensation or anything like that. And they get Briggs and he’s a dog. And then you can’t forget about Harrison Phillips who’s feels like the culture guy. You need culture guys to really help a new coach establish his type of identity. And Harrison Phillips is exactly that man. He’s just a captain. He was a captain with Minnesota, not a captain with the Jets, but if he’s brought back next year, which I really find it hard to believe they will not bring him back next year. His contract is interesting cuz it could be a cap casualty, but the Jets have so much money where I don’t feel like you need to worry about that. Maybe they’ll restructure a contract cuz that’s someone you want to bring back and put a captain badge on his jersey because he is just that uplifting, positive, impactful culture piece in the locker room that I feel like there’s not much players on the team anymore with that. Quinnon Williams was a captain. He’s traded away. Jamime and Sherwood, as much as it’s hard for me to admit it just because it’s unfortunate, he’s obviously not CJ Mosley in terms of being the captain and a leader, like I don’t get that from Jamime and Sherwood. So, with Sauce gone and Quinn gone, you know, there’s Germaine Johnson that I think could be a captain as well, but we need that leader in the locker room. And I think Harrison Phillips is a really good guy that the Jets brought in. So, you talk about those two players that the Jets traded for. And then the big thing that I love talking about is Zary Thomas. AZ Thomas right now has a stat and shout out to Michael Mania of Jet Xactor for this stat. He has five straight games with a pass deflection. The reason why this is important is because in Jets history, the only corners that’s ever had five more than five pass deflections in every sing in consecutive games were Derell Rivas and S Gardner. If Ay Thomas gets a pass deflection this game and the next game, all of a sudden he’s tied with Rivas and S as a rookie of getting consistent pass deflections. And not only that, the tackle he made in the open field against the Falcons, I you know me, if you watch a lot of my videos, that was the one guy in the draft that really was getting me the most excited. And that wasn’t even me thinking he’s going to replace Sauce. I thought he’ll be next to Sauce the whole career. I thought he we found two lock down corners, but instead of that, they trade away Sauce. He’s replacing him. And now we have the veteran of Brandon Stevens who’s been actually playing solid on the outside as well. And not to mention Jere Taylor, I think deserves some love. The Jets trade for Brownley as the starting nickel. And then he gets hurt all of a sudden right before the game. And then we’re looking at Jir Taylor filling in the nickel, getting his nose dirty, making some plays. He did have one missed tackle, but it’s okay. I think that he showed me something that this guy could be a piece that the Jets build around. And you’re noticing the two guys that the Jets brought in in the trademark it from the secondary standpoint are two guys that are really good tacklers and plays plays the game with a lot of physicality. That’s the type of culture that Aaron Glenn is building here in the secondary in particular is guys that can make the open field tackles. Malachi Moore, another guy that is a rookie, is getting a lot of meaningful reps. I think that the Jets found something in Malachi Moore and AZ Thomas in the draft last year. I think both of them are going to be starters moving forward. And I just cool to see this entire team come together, man. And there’s a lot of elements to be hopeful for. And the big thing that’s going to make or break everything with what we just talked about with Aaron Glenn and Darren Muji is the quarterback position. None of this is going to matter if they don’t hit on the quarterback in the offseason. Maybe they don’t try to get their guy this off seasonason. Maybe they find another bridge to fill out the roster, make it even better so then 27 they get a rookie or they get their rookie this year. We’ll have a whole offseason to debate that. But the reality is everything the Jets are building will not matter unless they hit a home run with this quarterback man. And that’s the one thing I’m just like antsy. Who is it going to be? Is he going to be a stud or not? Because they’re building something where I genuinely believe if they get the guy he’s going to be able to thrive because you can argue we haven’t got there yet, but the offensive system that’s being built with the playmakers and the more importantly the protection of this offense, that’s everything, man. The Jets actually have an offensive line to be excited about and it’s not a old offensive line that’s going to be here for a year or two. It’s a young offensive line that’s going to be here for five plus seasons with Armanu, Joe Tipman, and Olu. Those three guys should get you excited if you’re a Jets fan. All three of them are young and will hopefully be here for a long, long time. That should get you excited because there’s now young talent everywhere in the offense, but we’re just missing the most important position in sports, which is the quarterback. And I know people want to tank and get a better draft pick for that, but I really do think that the Jets winning right now. It’s showing me, it’s giving me confidence in this team knows what they’re doing, and that’s really what I want to see at this age of the season. Are we seeing improvement? Are we seeing these guys coach these players to go execute on the football field? That translates to wins. I mean, that’s everything, man. And the fact that they’re scrapping and clawing and playing this caliber of football without a quarterback, no disrespect to Fields and Tyrod, but they’re not necessarily great quarterbacks, but the Jets are proving right now in this small little window after their first win. That was the breakthrough. And that’s the last topic I want to mention in this video is that right there. The Jets needed that one win to really break through. And that’s what Aaron Glenn kept saying. We just need that one. We just need that one win. It was a monkey on their back. They started 0 and3 0 and4 all the way to 0 and seven. It’s like wow like are they ever going to win a game and then when they got their first win they followed it up with another win and then they lost two in a row and now they won again. So, they just needed that one win to get the monkey off their back. And I’m really evaluating this team from that first win on and that 0 and7 start compared to the this team the last five games. They look completely different and hopefully it can it continues to build in the right direction, but only time will tell. You guys let me know your thoughts in the comments about everything we broke down in the video. And a big shout out to Sleeper as always being the proud sponsor of Jets Media. 1. Ritchie your channel is great! I love how you support the team and look for the good. I agree! We see positives. I like the direction. But I liked the direction before Zac, gotta get qb right!

  2. This is what improvement in progress is all about. Even at sloppy plays- you still seeing completions and players making an effort. all these when they stop waiting for the QB hero-messiah bullshit!

  3. 💥Calm down it was against the Cleveland browns Bengals, falcons…let's beat a team over.500 …we. Did the exact same thing with Saleh 💥💥💥🤔

  4. Jets could draft a QB. It should not be in the first round. Jets need to get supporting players. Jets should look into a QB on day three. In the past Jets drafted a QB early and they didn't work out well. Build the team and select a QB after. There will be good QB's available on day three.

  5. Before the trades. I wouldn't put Sauce or Quinnen on top three(the way they were playing this season for the Jets). I would put Hall, Wilson and Stephens….Even Tippman, or Olu or hell even Armand. They are playing way better than Sauce was and Qu. Stephens has been graded the NFL's #1 ranked CB on PFF since week 4.
