Branch torn Achilles

  1. For this season, doesn’t really change a ton. But this has a major impact on next season + his future with the team

  2. Fucks sake. Can’t we just catch a break with this shit? This really worries me about him going forward.

Dude was injured all game, I recall the commentators talking about him limping early on, why was he out there?!

  3. I just want say that my husband tore his Achilles playing soccer earlier this year. And with what his surgeon and PT described as what causes Achilles tears, it’s a miracle to me that those tendons aren’t tearing on every athlete every single day. The way one micro second of a movement that happens to create too much pressure for the tendon to withstand is astounding. It’s truly a major flaw in human anatomy.

Heartbreaking for Branch. Witnessing what recovery looks like was no fun at all. I wish him the best.

  4. Apparently we have to sacrifice a fucking pro bowler every time we play these bastards. Sickening. Heal up BB.

  5. Dude was hobbling all game, was probably fighting through a calf strain since we were so short handed. What a shame.

  6. From the best safety duo innthe league to needing two new starting safeties 💀💀💀

  7. Potentially career-altering injuries for both our safeties this season. Go from having arguably the best safety tandem in the league to scaping guys from the bargain bin before you can turn around. Life comes at you fast in the NFL, man.

  8. If we could have just ONE FUCKING YEAR where we’re not literally hobbling together a team from off the streets. Fucks sake man…

  9. Branch was limping. If this was a calf strain, he should’ve been taken out of the game. I don’t care how short handed we are, you don’t play with calf strains. Very unfortunate. Hoping he can recover fully.

  10. He won’t be ready by next year with this injury. We can’t catch a break. Feel bad for him too. He’s one of the best in the league at his position.

  11. Every single time we win a game, dating back to last season, we lose a key guy with an injury. Let’s just go back and look at their past 22 Wins

Yesterday – Beat the Cowboys, Lose Brian Branch for the season.

Week 11 – Beat the Giants, Lose both Kalif Raymond and Brock Wright for extended time

Week 10 – Beat the Commanders, Lose LaPorta for the season and Arnold gets hurt which eventually ends his season

Week 7- Beat the Bucs, NO INJURIES!

Week 5 – Beat the Bengals, Lose Terrion for 2 Games and Manu for the Season

Week 4 – Beat the Browns, Lose DJ Reed and Khalil Dorsey for 6 Games

Week 3 – Beat the Ravens, lose Vaki and Thomas for 4 Games, Basically lose Cunningham for the season

Week 4 – Beat the Seahawks, NO INJURIES!

Week 3 – Beat the Cardinals, Lose Derrick Barnes and Marcus Davenport for the season

So out of our last 22 wins, only 6 times have we gotten to celebrate the win without an impactful injury. And there have been season ending injuries 11 times. Season ending injuries the last two seasons now to Brian Branch, Alim McNeil, Aidan Hutchinson, Sam LaPorta, Derrick Barnes, Marcus Davenport, Kyle Peko, Malcolm Rodriguez, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Ennis Rakestraw, Mekhi Wingo, Carlton Davis, Khalil Dorsey, Zach Cunningham, Giovanni Manu, and Terrion Arnold and others. It’s just an insane run of injuries.

  12. It’s almost to the point where I can’t enjoy watching games. Every tackle I’m holding my breath waiting for the player to get back up. Then even if they do get up, I’m waiting to hear a report like this the next day. The injury PTSD from the last couple years is going to stick with me for a long time.
